That night McCree had a nightmare about Gabriel. Only he saw Reaper most of the time. He woke up before the sun and got dressed. Hanzo heard him walking out and woke up. He saw McCree's hat sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Jesse?"
He stopped and turned around.
"You left your hat." Hanzo said throwing it into his hands. "You never leave without it."
Jesse stared at it before throwing it back onto the bed.
"It's just a stupid hat." McCree said leaving the room.
Hanzo quickly scrambled from the bed and threw on a shirt. He grabbed the hat and ran after McCree. He grabbed his arm in the hallway.
"Jesse?" Hanzo asked.
He turned to face him.
"Are you alright? Where are you going so early?"
"I'm just going out for a walk. I'll be back." Jesse said turning and bumping into Winston.
"Jesse, what are you doing up so early?"
"I could ask the same question, monkey." McCree said rudely.
He gave a dismissive huff at Winston and walked away. Winston growled and turned to Hanzo.
"This is your fault isn't it?" Winston said pointing at Hanzo. "You left him unsatisfied!"
Hanzo gasped.
"Y-you know about us?"
"I'm not an idiot Hanzo. It's obvious. Did you leave him unsatisfied?"
"No," Hanzo scratched the back of his head. "Well at least I don't think so."
"He's tense about something." Winston said walking off in a huff.
Hanzo sighed looking down and gripping Jesse's hat tightly.
"Damn."
McCree said he would be back, but he hasn't come back all day. Hanzo had been calling and texting him. He started to get more angry than worried. Hanzo had kept McCree's hat attached to the back of the belt around his Kimono all day. He finally looked out the window to see McCree walking up the launch pad. He quickly ran downstairs furiously stomping. He got outside and began pointing fingers at McCree.
"You don't answer my calls or texts! What has gotten into you?!" Hanzo exclaimed.
McCree just smiled looking around Hanzo's sighed to see his hat attached to the back of his belt. He reached around grabbing Hanzo's ass through the hat.
"You kept it right by my favorite spot Hanz." McCree teased.
Hanzo blushed, but tried to act serious.
"T-this doesn't...change anything!" Hanzo stuttered.
Jesse laughed a bit putting the hat back on his head and leaning towards Hanzo.
"You're upset? Good. That's when you're at your best in bed."

Hanzo gasped.
"Stop it. You're being irrational Jesse." Hanzo said firmly.
"Then punish me Hanzo." Jesse said with a tempting face.
Hanzo blushed and swallowed hard.
That night Hanzo was finishing the survey Winston had sent him when McCree opened the door to his room. Hanzo looked up from his desk.
"Hey, you still angry?" Jesse said walking in and closing the door. Hanzo stood up. Jesse grinned and grabbed his side.
"W-what are you..."
"I want you."
They both began removing their clothes.
"Hey Hanz, you have something there."
"Where?"
Jesse tackled Hanzo to the floor.
"Woah! Fine, the floor."
McCree began kissing around Hanzo's neck.
"So you want to talk about where you went today?"
"Went out to practice my shooting."
"We have a shooting range here"
"Hmmm. Yes, but *smooch* I wanted to get out of HQ. There was some tension."
Hanzo moaned.
"Because of us?"
"No darling."
"Because of me?!"
"No Hanz." Jesse said moaning. "Enough talking."
McCree thrusted into Hanzo. He moaned loudly.
"That's better."
He can't get away that easily. I won't let him. He needs to tell me what's wrong. Last night I heard him say Gabriel's name in his sleep. Something isn't right.
Hanzo woke up once again next to Jesse.
"I thought we were gonna stop lying to eachother." Hanzo whispered.
"I already told you where I went yesterday."
"Yes, but you haven't told me exactly why."
"You wouldn't care darling."
"If I didn't care, I wouldn't have asked. What are you hiding McCree?"
McCree sighed and looked at the ceiling.
"I've been having nightmares about Gabriel. They usually start with him being a good guy, but then he slowly fades into that...thing and tries to kill me. He's hanting me Hanzo. He won't get out of my head."
"Jesse it is ok. You can always come to me. I'd be happy to talk about these things with you."
McCree nodded sadly.
"I remember always seeing Gabriel in pain. I never found out why, but it was changing him. Moira was doing experiment on him, but we never got specifics. I got concerned when he started passing out randomly. It freaked me out. Usually Angela would just take him in and he'd be fine the next day, but it kept happening. Then, the explosion...I thought he was dead. We never found his body. I-I don't know how he survived, but now he has betrayed his family. He's turned into some sort of.....monster."
"Jesse, he may have betrayed you, but I wouldn't call him a monster. He sounds like he is suffering, like he's in constant pain and can't control it. I too would be angry if I was in constant pain."

"Maybe your right." Jesse said. "I just want to talk without the fear of him killing me. I still have his contact. Maybe we can meet."
"That might be healthy for the both of you, but he is out for blood McCree."
"I'll tell him not to bring weapons and to come alone."
Hanzo sighed. "Fine."
He didn't know what to expect or even if he was going to come, but McCree sat there looking off into the ocean. He was late. Jesse started to grow nervous. He was scared that he wasn't going to show up, but he heard the familiar sound of smoke forming behind him. He quickly sighed all of a sudden not wanting to be there. McCree was scared to turn around, but he kept his composure and spoke softly.
"Thanks for comin."
He heard Gabriel clear his throat. Except now it wasn't covered by a mask. His voice was deep and raspy, but calm and not muffled any more.
"What is this about McCree?"
Jesse finally turned around. Gabe wasn't wearing a mask. His face was pale and covered with scars. Smoke occasionally drifted from his body.
"I want to know Gabe."
"What?"
"I want to know how you survived."
McCree was frightened at the site of Gabriel, but stood tall. Gabriel stood there cackling loudly.
"I didn't Jesse."
"What the hell are you talking about Reyes?"
"Angela brought me back. She should have just left me for dead." Gabriel said raspily. "She handed me over to Moira. Her experiments were successful, so she continued. Now I am a dead man walking."
"You say that like it's so damn simple!" McCree cried out. "I can't believe you're alive!"
"I'm not Jesse, but I'm not dead either."
McCree shook his head disappointed.
"Heh, you're still the same kid we picked off of the streets. Completely clueless and stupid."
"Shut up!"
"I see you've found yourself a boyfriend?"
"Don't you fucking dare drag him into this!"
"It's just obvious McCree. Though I would be surprised if that damn monkey figured that one out, ha ha!" Gabriel joked.
McCree grabbed him by the collar, but he withered into smoke and escaped Jesse's hands. He reapered behind Jesse and called at him menacingly. McCree quickly turned around and stared at him sternly.
"What has she done to you Gabe?"
"Have I taught you nothing kid? The world doesn't give a damn bout you. Sometimes you gotta learn to roll with the punches. I chose to get off of my ass and do something about it. It required me to give up my freedom. What are you willing to give up McCree?" Gabriel said. His last words echoed as he disappeared into black smoke.
McCree sighed sitting back down. He came back to Gibraltar unsatisfied and slightly sick to his stomach. He was terrified at what had happened to his long lost friend. Hanzo sat with him holding him close. McCree began to feel safer and safer in Hanzo's arms.
"He has changed too much for me to care!"
"Maybe it's for the best. I'm not sure you and him had the best relationship anyways."
"It's hard to see Gabriel now. I just see a demon when I look at him."
"I'm so sorry Jesse. It isn't fair, but I've learned that the people you meet in life might not always be the same way in the future. It's scary, but true."
"Hey Hanz?"
"Yes?"
"Will you teach me how to shoot a bow?"
Hanzo looked down at him shocked, but grinned happily.
"Of course I will, but will you teach me to shoot?"
McCree nodded his head into Hanzo's chest.
The next few days the two of them distracted one another with their skills. They smiled completely forgetting about their problems.
1 month later...
Hanzo and McCree had run out of things to do during their month of no missions. They grew bored and restless. Hanzo begged Winston to give them a mission the day they were back on. He did. Unfortunately it wasn't what they had in mind. McCree stared at his phone in shock. Hanzo looked at him from across the bedroom.
"What is it?"
McCree turned his bewildered expression along with his phone towards Hanzo. Hanzo leaned in and squinted to read the small words. His eyes grew wide at the site of them. He looked up at McCree.
"No. No no no!"
"Hanzo, we have to!"
"I cannot! Not after what they have put us through! There is no reason to do this!"
"Look at the case file Hanz! Too many people are dying to just let this go."
McCree put a hand to Hanzo's shoulder.
"I don't like it either darling, but I care enough to not let innocent people die. I'm not asking you to come with me, but I am going and I am bringing Sombra back here. This is for the best."
"I cannot let you go alone."
McCree looked at Hanzo pleeding.
"I am coming with you Jesse. I cannot stop you, and I don't like this mission, but you will not be doing it alone."
McCree threw his arms around Hanzo's shoulders. Jesse's voice cracked slightly.
"Thank you Hanz."
