"What are we going to do with her?" Daniel asked.

"We can't just leave her here!" Seth exclaimed.

"Well then, it looks like we're killing her," Kai said, pulling his gun out of the back of his bloody jeans.

"Nobody is killing anybody," Kris snatched the gun out of Kai's hand. "Let's hear what the boss has to say."

Everyone turned expectantly to the boss who was staring out of one of the stained glass windows.

"She knows too much," Callum turned around and looked at his men. "She'll have to come back with us."

Adelaide McKennan was a reasonably average girl, until she got fired from her job. That meant she had to leave her house that night, and if she hadn't gone she wouldn't have gotten kidnapped.

But on the other hand, if she hadn't gone out she wouldn't have been 'saved' by a dashing group of mafia men and their intimidating leader. Neither would she have reconnected with an old face that she'd missed for years.
