《Right On The Money Honey - Michael Hardy》EIGHT

Elizabeth sighs to herself. She hasn't talked to Michael since he left that night a few weeks ago. She's been thinking about his offer of moving in with him. She wants to but she doesn't want to be ten hours away from her family instead of one.
She's FaceTiming Caleigh to get a level headed opinion on what to do about this whole situation.
"I don't know how to help you." Caleigh sighs, running her hand through her hair. "I'm sorry."
Liz nods. "I just feel like things are starting to change between us. I don't know. Maybe I'm just being paranoid or some shit."
"Have you talked with him?"
Liz scoffs. "No."
"Why not?"
"I dunno."
"Liz..."
"Fine. I'll talk to him." She huffs. "Talk to you later."
"Good luck." Caleigh smiles, ending their call.
Liz runs a hand through her hair. She's right, she's got to talk to him.

Michael's sitting on Morgan's porch, his guitar in his arms while Morgan's got a notepad in front of him and his laptop on the table.
"How's things goin' with the missus?" Morgan asks quietly. Michael looks up and shrugs. "What? What does that mean?"
"I haven't talked to her in a little while."
"Everything okay?"
"No but it's whatever." He brushes it off, looking down at his hands. "We got into a fight about her being a twin-"
"That's dumb."
Michael gives him a look. "And then again..." He trails off, feeling somewhat silly for their most recent fight. "I asked her why she was with me."
"What did she say?"
"That I'm good for her."
"Well, I mean. Y'all light up the damn room when you're together. The way she looks at you- she looks at you like the world don't exist no more." He tells him. "So, you stopped talkin' to her because you're self confidence is shit?"
"I don't- I just don't deserve her."
"Damn right you don't! That's why you have to bust your ass to keep her. Guys are lookin' at her sure, but it depends on how you treat her." Morgan says, spitting his dip out. "You treat her like how you feel, you lose her. You keep treatin' her like you don't deserve her and like you're doin your damn hardest to keep her, you keep her until you're six foot deep."

Michael sighs and nods. "Fine."
"She's with you 'cause she's into you. She don't give other guys a second look. Don't ruin this, man."
Michael snorts. "Aren't you the one that cheated on Maggie Wilson?"
"Split milk." He mutters. "You seen how well that went. Don't do that."

"I don't want to keep fightin'." Liz sighs. "If we're gonna just keep fightin', I'm done. I spent two years of my life in a fight and I'm not 'bout to do that again."
"I totally understand that, baby." Michael responds, taking her hands in his. "I'm sorry."
She nods, taking her hands from his to run through her hair. "Me too." She looks up at him then leans over to kiss his cheek. "Okay, cool." She nods again. "I'm gonna take a shower." She stands then glances over her shoulder at him. "You can join me if you want."
He jumps up from the table and chases after her to the bathroom, laughing as he elbows the door shut.
After their shower, Liz is laying on the couch with her head in Michael's lap. He's mindlessly playing with her hair while there's a golf tournament on tv. She's so bored but won't let him know because he's into this shit.
She sits up and crosses her legs, facing him. "Everythin' okay?"
"Did you mean it when you asked me to move in?" She asks, her elbow resting on the back of the couch with her chin on her fist.
"Yeah, absolutely, I did- still do." He says, shifting so he's sitting the same way as her. "Only if you want to."
"I want to."
His face lights up. "Really?"
"Yeah."
"Shit, okay!" He laughs, pulling her onto his lap with his arms tight around her. "I can take a few days off to help you move."
"You don't gotta do that."
"I want to." He tucks some hair behind her ear with the biggest smile Liz has ever seen on his face.
"I gotta break the news to Anna and my family." She sighs. "That's the hard part."
"I'll go with you." He cuts himself off with a childish grin, just completely over the moon that she finally agreed to move in with him.

"Is that everything?" Lyn asks, looking around the now empty house. Liz takes in a deep, shaky breath and nods. "Oh, sissy." She wraps her tearful older sister in a hug, her chin on her shoulder. "I know."
Liz clears her throat as she pulls back, wiping her bloodshot blue eyes. "I'm gonna miss you."
"Good." Lyn teases, cupping the sides of her face. "Make sure y'all come back and visit." Liz nods, wiping away more stray tears.
"Elizabeth Jean, if you don't visit us for three years again, Imma whoop your ass." Mamaw says, popping her hand on her hips.
"Don't worry, Mamaw." Lyn says. "She promised me she'd be back to visit." Liz chuckles tearfully. "C'mon, the guys are waitin' for us."
Liz takes one last look around her empty house then closes the door behind her.
She turns and sees Papaw, Walt, Michael and Lyn's husband Rhett standing by a moving truck. Seeing their sad faces make the tears swell up in her eyes again. Michael wraps an arm around her shoulders, holding her close against his chest.
Papaw clears his throat, looking at Walt then at his granddaughter and Michael. "Our little girl all grown up." He chokes out. "If your momma was here, she'd give Lake Ray Hubbard a run for its money."
Walt sighs. "I thought the first time was hard." He looks over his oldest and sighs again. "Somethin' you never get used to: tellin your babies goodbye."
Liz blinks back tears. "Stop it." She whispers, wrapping her inked arms around her father's middle, her head against his chest. "I love you."
"I love you too, pumpkin." He whispers back, brushing back her hair.
Michael watches her say her goodbyes to her family, his heart heavy. He hates that she's crying but it's the beginning of a new chapter.
An incredibly tearful Liz climbs into the passenger seat of the U-Haul with Michael on her left. He rests his hand on her knee, giving it a gentle squeeze. "You okay?"
She clears her throat as she nods, looking out the window. "Yeah."
He looks over at her, sighing softly. "We can visit as much as you want, okay?" She nods weakly, twisting her fingers with his. The drive home is quiet aside from the music trickling through the speakers of the U-Haul.

Michael backs into the driveway of his house. He shuts the engine off then looks over at his girlfriend. His heart melts at the sight of her curled up in the seat with his sweatshirt balled up between her head and the window, totally asleep. He slides out of the drivers seat then makes his way to her side, carrying her into the house.
She hums when he lays her in their bed, tucking her in under the sheets. Michael smiles, brushing her hair behind her ear. He leans over and kisses her temple then heads out to the living room.
He starts to bring in the smaller stuff; boxes of clothes, books, bathroom stuff while she's resting. He feels terrible for making her cry because she's leaving Texas but he's glad that they're finally together. He was starting to get tired of driving back and forth from their houses and now she's here with him.
Two or so years ago, he was at such a low- broke and living off Morgan's couch in Sneedville. They decided to move to Nashville together to peruse careers in the country music industry but it took a while for things to take off.
He had met Cliff while Morgan was recording a song they wrote and they hit it off. Morgan had some thing with a girl planned so it was Cliff and Michael at a bar together that night. And that night was the night his life changed.
That night he met Liz.
Flash forward to today, the two are living together. He keeps thinking about getting a ring on her finger one day- soon but not too soon. They just started a new chapter together but he can't wait to make her his wife one day.

In a fantasy world of peace and prosperity, the elves decide the world is too diverse and create terrible weapons of mass destruction to corrupt the other races and maintain their superiority. Centuries later, they have completed their designs, but they didn't account for the everlasting influence of corruption, as it now creeps into their lands. This is the story of what men with no morals and nothing to lose set free upon the world after excessive consumption of both natural and unnatural substances. Corruption, vice and perversion haunt our protagonist. Will one writer fight against the terrible evil and obscenity, or will he fall to the depravity and debauchery of the southern Kingdoms? This story is about a bunch of terrible characters doing a bunch of terrible things. It will not be long, but I hope is an entertaining read!

To The Far Shore
Post apocalyptic Oregon Trail. The apocalypse has come and gone. And come back again, and left again... nobody really knows how often. Nothing lasts forever, but nothing is ever completely gone. Which is a shame for young Mazelton, as his family has been around a terribly long time, and made an astonishing amount of enemies. Millenia's worth. So he has to run- from mobs, cannibals, soldiers, sailors, cholera, cattle, thieving sales-monks, starvation, mechanical horrors, vengeful spirits, negotiating your own marriage, and poison of every sort. Fortunately, his not terribly nice family has trained him well in the arts of core polishing. Or as you and I might know it- turning radioactive pellets into useful tools. And weapons. Updates Monday-Wednesday-Friday. Usual defensive tags applied. The goal isn't exactly family friendly, but you have probably seen worse on network TV. After the watershed. Not full blown HBO, let's say. This is the first novel I am sharing publicly, so feedback is very much appreciated and encouraged. Act 1 of the novel is completed, but do please let me know what works, what doesn't, and what you would like to see more of. Thank you, and Enjoy!

♢°•useful smut tips♢°•
Do you write or read smut? Do you have a human body? Great, well, here we'll be going over the things everyone seems to get wrong when writing smut that annoy the fuck outta me, and even some general sex education school never even brushes over. LGBTQ+, pleasure, anatomy, kinks, consent, gender, so much more.Even if you don't write smut, you be surprised how much basic stuff you don't know whether you already are, plan to be, or don't ever plan to be sexually attactive.I... I still haven't found a decent title.
