"Holy shit, I can't believe we just did that." Jo laughs, looking up at her husband. She laughs again, her hand on the back of his head as she pulls him down for another kiss.
Riley and Jo make their way to the room they booked for the night to change and talk or whatnot while the guests and wedding party make their way to the barn where the reception is being held.
The barn that's a stone's throw away from where the wedding ceremony was held.
Caleigh and Michael and Dani and Morgan walk down the aisle together, being part of the wedding party, and are seated at the long table at the side of the barn.
Lucy really out did herself with the decor. Of course the girls helped out but she took care of everything.
It's not everyday that her little girl gets married to the man of her dreams.
The foursome get loose with a couple drinks as the rest of the guests filter in. Morgan gives Dani a look that has her blushing and setting her drink down on the table. He takes her hand and pulls her outside to the house the wedding party has been staying in.
A half hour has passed and the newlyweds aren't back yet and everyone is starting to get antsy.
"I'll go get them." Caleigh says, standing.
She makes her way to the honeymoon suite the owners of the house have made and knocks.
"Let's go, lovebirds! We're all waitin' for you!"
"Ugh." She hears Riley groan. "We'll be out in a minute."
"I'll wait for y'all here then." She leans against the wall with her arms crossed comfortably across her chest. Being the maid of honor, she's supposed to make sure that the wedding is going smoothly.
Jo whines as Riley pulls away, her slender fingers tugging on the tie he's wearing. "No daddy." She teases him, a flirty smirk on her face.

"Don't start that now." He says, tucking his button down back in. "We got guests to entertain."
Jo grabs his tie and pulls him down for a kiss. He groans against her lips, needing more than just a few minutes with his wife but he knows they've got to see everyone.

"Ri," Jo mumbles as they sit at their wedding party table. "Riley."
"What's up baby?"
"I'm tired."
Riley looks at her and his heart pulls at the sight of the the dark bags under her bloodshot eyes. He knows all this excitement on top of the pregnancy is just wearing her out.
"Just a couple more hours." He responds, rubbing her back. "Couple more hours." Riley is buzzing from the small amount of alcohol in his system, he hasn't drank since he found out Jo was pregnant to support her.
Jo hides a yawn with her hand. Riley rests his hand on her knee and kisses her flushed cheek.
"You feelin' okay?" He asks, pressing the back of his hand against her forehead. "You're burnin' up, Joey."
"It's just hot in here." She waves him off, taking a drink of the cold water in front of her. "I just need some fresh air." She gets to her bare feet and slowly makes her way outside on shaky legs.
She's exhausted and hot and her feet and her tits hurt.
"You doin' okay?" Dani asks, a beer bottle in her hand.
"Just hot." She responds, bunching her hair up to get some air across the back of her neck. "Real hot."
"Yeah you are." She laughs back.
"Hey, you okay?" Riley asks, his dress shirt sleeves pushed up to his elbows. He runs his thumb over his suspenders with his other hand in his dress pants pocket.
"Damn baby's givin' me hot flashes." She fans herself. "And I'm tired."
"C'mon." He holds his hand out for her.

Without question, she takes his hand and follows him wherever he's going.

"Shh!" Riley chuckles, his hand still around Jo's as they head back up to the bedroom they're staying in. She laughs back, her dress bunched up in her arms.
They went for a moonlit swim at the lake they got married in front of. It was a great way to kick off their marriage.
They're in their soaked underwear as their feet smack against the wooden steps. As soon as they're in their bedroom, she's pressed against the door.
Jo's dress is tossed to the floor along with Riley's damp button down, tie and slacks.
They blindly make their way to the bed when Jo feels something different. "Wait." She pants, her hand going to her belly. "Woah."
"What?" Riley asks, worry lacing his eyebrows. "What- what's wrong?"
"Here." She takes his hand and holds it against her bump, her hands on top of his. "Feel that?" She asks, looking up at him.
"What is that?"
"It's kickin'."
Riley's face goes from confusion to a full blown grin, tears in his eyes. "Holy shit."
"Still don't wanna know what is it?" She asks, her hands still on top of his.
"Maybe." He responds, tears held back by his long dark lashes. "Do you?"
"Kinda."
"Well, when we get home let's find out."
"Okay." She chuckles, tears of her own in her eyes. Ever since she found out she was pregnant, she's been insanely emotional.
She fucking cries at everything and seeing her husband tear up makes her want to break the levee and cry.
"We're gonna be parents." He whispers. "In like three months, oh my god."
"I know! It's so excitin' but also terrifyin'." She smiles. "Guess I can't call you daddy no more."
He looks up at her and smirks. "For three more months you can."

"Turn this up!" Jo says as she comes down the steps in nothing but a pair of undies and one of Riley's snap shirts. "I produced this!"
Riley looks up from the skillet he's using and grins at his wife. She smiles back as she throws her hair into a messy bun.
"Y'know, this kid is gonna grow up and think 'damn my parents really love each other'." Riley says.
"And when she starts datin', she'll know what to look for."
"Nuh-uh." Riley shakes his head. "She ain't datin' til she's eighteen."
"Riley..."
"She don't need to be havin' her heart broke by boys who can't even bait a damn hook. And- and I don't want no nasty boys lookin' at my little girl."
"Riley."
"What?"
"You're cute." Jo says, her hand dragging her swollen belly. His ears go red as he looks back at the skillet. "She's due tomorrow, Ri."
"I know." He responds. "And there's still shit I gotta do to get her room ready."
Jo laughs. "Like what?"
"I was gonna wait but a buddy of mine does wood-workin' and I got him to make a sign with her name on it."
"Really?"
He nods. "Yeah. I was gonna surprise you with it when we got home with her but..."
"You are somethin' else, Riley Green."
She sits back in a chair, legs spread around her bump comfortably and her chest heaving. "I'm so tired." She yawns. "I thought I'd be able to get some sleep 'fore our lives are turned upside down but I can't sleep."
"If you can't sleep, I got another idea of what we could be doin'." He says, leaning down to kiss his wife.
"Like what?" She smirks back, her eyes locked to his.
He holds his hand out for her and they make their way up the steps to their bedroom.

Quest of the Seal Bearers - Book 1: The Warriors Return
On the distant world of Mendala, a rash of mysterious attacks have left many towns destroyed, and there are rumors of an army of monsters. Fantasma, leader of the global government, and his colleagues are determined to find cause of these attacks. but the search for answers points them to an ancient relic, The Book of War, a cursed artifact that can create indestructible creatures loyal to its master. It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
