《You're Bittersweet (on hold)》Chapter 9

I stood up from my seat to go ask the teacher if I could use the restroom. I walked out of the classroom and down the hall. My day was going pretty well and I smiled at the thought of hanging out with Marcus after school today and getting to cuddle with him.
I walked into the restroom and found an available stall. I heard the bathroom door open along with a pair of footsteps. A pair of voices echoed throughout the quiet bathroom.
"Tell me he's not cute Quin"
The girl chuckled
"You're wrong for that. Just wait till she finds out"
The pair laughed and exited the bathroom after a few minutes
I got out and washed my hands and went to open the door as it flung open and in walked Kasandra and that girl from earlier today.
I quickly hid behind the trash bin
"You're so stupid you know that Zahra?"
The girl started to cry
"You thought it was such a smart idea to tell her it was me."
She walked up to the girl and pinned her up to the wall
"I have a better idea for you Zahra..You're going to tell her it was you."
She pressed into the girl harder and she released a small pained gasp.
"I swear to god if I find out you didn't do what I told you to...you're going to regret existing"
The bell rang and the sound of students filling the hallways muted the sound of Kasandra walking out the door.

I walked home alone today since my brothers were hanging out with their friends.
I arrived at a park down the street and sat down on a bench. I waited and waited for a text from Marcus but instead I got nothing. I decided to walk back home and as if on cue, it began to rain. I put on my hood and plugged in my earphones. I continued to walk home and I felt a tear slip from my eye.

I felt so bad for that girl. I was scared to intervene and I stayed frozen like a coward.
I got home and ran up the stairs and into my room. I tossed my bag onto my bed. I sat down at my desk and opened up my computer.
A few hours passed and I woke up to the sound of an email I received on my computer.
I opened it up and it read
"By the way your boyfriend keeps talking about you I can tell I really am better than you"
I shut my computer and texted Marcus.
Isabel: Hey where were you today?"
Marcus: sorry something came up
Isabel: A heads up would've been great
Marcus: I'm sorry maybe we can hang tomorrow?
Isabel: I've got plans tomorrow
I shut off my phone and tossed it onto my desk.
It was still bright outside so I decided to go out for a walk.

It's gonna get interesting so hang in there
