《"Partners"- Jin ff ✓》3

We finally put our feet in american ground after long hours of a long flight where Jin made sure to annoy me by not letting me sleep and trying bro tell me his cheesey dad jokes.
When we were going out of the doors to exit the airport, we immediately went to the taxis.
"I guess this is where we part ways"- he said.
"Finally..."- I commented.
"Either way, they gave you your address and they give me my address, we give is to our taxi drivers and we'll just need to see each other at work"- he told me
"Exactly"
"Well..bye then"- he said and we both turned around to part ways and go to different taxis since we'll be staying at different places.
"Oh, if you get lost Y/N, don't call me!"- he screamed from his taxi so he could proceed to close the door
"Ugh..."- I mumbled to myself.
Either way, I'll be having some time alone and at peace without thinking about having to work with Jin and actually being with him.

"Unbelibuble.."- Jin said in disbelief as we both stare at the same house with our suitcases on our sides. Our mouths are wide open in surprise.
"Sir, are you sure this is right address?"- I went back to the taxi driver trying to speak my best possible english with a korean accent.
"Yes, lady, now pay me"- he rudely answered me and I gave him some money, but before I could ask him more questions he left.
"There's no way we're staying in the same house"- I told Jin.
"Exactly"- he agreed and so I called our boss even though it's 3 a.m. in Korea.
"Hello?"- my boss answered through the phone
"Hello, sir, hum, I think there's been a mistake, Jin and I were given the same address to be in while we're here"- I explained him.

"Oh, oh, remind him I don't like you"- Jin was supporting the cause but I rolled my eyes at his stupid way of explaining the problem.
"He says he doesn't like me.."- I told my boss to reenforce our point.
"There has been no mistake, you are living together for the time being. What? You think we're rich or something?"- My boss told me over the phone.
"But, sir-"
"I'm pretty sure when you were in the police academy you shared the same room with other people, you just need to share a house now. Suck it up and let me sleep"- my boss said and hung up.
"He said it's not a mistake"- I passed the message to Jin suppressing my frustration.
"Oh...oh well, my bedrooms the biggest"- he casually said and then picked up his suitcase and went straight to the door to enter the house.
"I hate this already"- I mumbled to myself.
After settling down and rest for a moment, we were reminded that we needed to go to the police station to meet the other detectives we will work with. If Jin and I don't catch this gang our jobs will seriously be on the line.
As I was already dressed after a shower and I was now putting my badge and the other detective accessories, I called for Jin to make sure he was ready to leave.
"Jin?!"- I called him.
"Yeah?"- he answered me in his pijamas.
"You're not ready yet?!"- I asked him although the answer was quite obvious.
"I'll be ready in a second"- he told me going for the kitchen. He started to peal a mango, clearly not in a rush.
"Dude, we'll be late!"- I warned him.
"The queen is never late, the others are early"- he answered me.

"But-"- I frowned in confusion.
"I know what I said"- he told me flipping his hair like he was America's next top model...this dude... seriously...
"Can you just...please hurry up?"-I tried keeping myself calm.
"Fine... I'll eat my mango faster..."- he told me and went to his room to change.
We finally arrived the police station we will work on for the next month and it's quite similar to ours in Korea, which already makes it a little bit more comfortable. When we were walking inside a man was waiting for us at the front desk. He looked asian, maybe he is here as our translator. Then, he proceeded to speak to us in English.
"Hello, please tell me you speak English"- he told us right away and both me and Jin frowned.
"We manage"- I said in english.
"Fantastic"- Jin stated in that language.
"Great! I'm sorry, I'm a detective too and they told me to be your translator because I am asian, but what fails them is that I'm Chinese...so...I can't speak korean and I really can't translate for you"- He said
"Hum...name?"- Jin asked him because he failed to say it.
"Oh, I'm Jacob Lin"- he told us and greeted us -"follow me"- He finished
We followed him and we entered this office that was very much like ours, but a little fancier.
"Ah, you must be the korean detectives that failed to do your job"- A blonde woman rudely told us as an hello.
"You must be the idiot, hi, I'm handsome"- Jin put his hand out for a shake in a provocation and I smiled for a second.
"Well, I'm the idiot that is bossing the operation, so careful what you say to me...your boss may not like it"- She said and both Jin and I didn't like it.
"Hey, you must be the chinese guys"- Another detective came in the picture.
"Yah! You little rascal! Who do you think you're taking to, gain some since you piece of s***, son of a b****, you can s-"- Jin almost rapped in our native language ready to throw hands and I held him back. He was almost out of breath.
"Okay, calm down..why are you talking with us like this?"- I asked them.
"One thing is clear, it's your fault this gang is here and now we have to catch it. Yet, you still came here to do your failed job and steal our chances of winning this case and getting the rewards"- she said bitterly.
"That's it. Hold my crown"- Jin said ready to go at her, but I held him once again.
I hate this...and I thought Jin would be the worst part in this trip...

The Pugilist
Vincent Roy Salazar has never been your common folk. He climbed any mountain he found in front of him. From a bright young student to an accomplished professor, his life can be described as a continuous race to the top of his chosen fields. Patriarch of a loving family, proud father of three already grown siblings, Roy realizes that his life is the perfect picture of what the average man strives for, and for that he is truly grateful. But happiness is a difficult-to-reach goal, and as he lies in a pool of his own blood, his fist cracked, a young lady crying while cradling his head, he remembers what really gave sense to his youth. Pure Unadulterated Violence The Pugilist wants to be a different take on isekai shenanigans. What would happen if instead of a moronic idiot, a depressed high schooler, or a wannabe hero the one to get his do-over is a fully grown man that has already seen what life has to offer in full? Someone who conformed himself to society, but has always craved something different? In a journey of self-discovery, academy building, god-slaying, and absolutely no harem we follow someone driven by logic, experience, and a smokey goal: to fuck shit up, have fun while doing so, and maybe resume his career as a professor for those strange, magic-wielding, unstable youths that seems to never get enough of his presence. Guys, a few notes, first of all, this is my first time writing long-form fiction. I have a background in psychology, and my main income comes from writing dreary financial articles on SEO blogs. But after a bad break-up, and finding myself falling asleep only while thinking of deus ex machina for stories on this site (and for APGTE) I decided to try my hand at this web series thingy. I'm confident in my grammar, but that's it. Everything else will be a first time, and as such any constructive criticism is encouraged and gratefully accepted. Now, on the story. Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.
