Luke and julie get a bad case of strep throat, with lukes parents out of town, Julie's family offer to take care of him, cue the cute Juke moments

Julie was in the middle of chemistry when her throat began hurting, but she ignored it and passed it off as to much singing last night.

It was 3rd period English, when Luke began to notice the nausea but he played it off as not eating breakfast this morning so he didnt worry too much

~

Luke and julie were family friends, their mothers were friends back in college and kept in contact ever since so naturally Luke and julie were both forced to play together as kids, but that doesn't mean they get along, oh no. They both practically despised each other but had to play nice for their parents.

The two ran in different crowds you see, and maybe if it weren't for that they might have been friends, but oh well.

The two often got comments from their friends saying how they would be cute together and that the hate they felt was actually love. But of course they ignored them

After lunch, luke decided to go to the nurses office considering her could barely eat his sandwich. When he got there he found the person he least wanted to see right now sitting outside the door to the nurses office.

He groaned which caught Julie's attention and she looked up to see the boy she hated.

"What are you doing here?" Julie's voice laced with venom forgetting about her sore throat.

"Why do you think I'm here? I didnt come here to make out with you that's for sure" luke rolled his eyes , him too forgetting about his symptoms.

Julie's cheeks coloured slightly " well I wouldn't put it past you, rumours state that you slept with the whole cheerleading team" julie said a bit sarcastically

They got interrupted by the nurse coming out of her office "so julie, I have called your parents and your mother is on her way- oh luke hello, what's the problem?"

Luke told her some of his symptoms

"Hmm sounds like you have the same thing as julie, I will call your parents, take a seat"

Luke takes a seat in the chair across from Julie begrudgingly.

5 minutes later, the nurse came out "it seems we cant reach your parents luke so we called the emergency number which happens to be Julie's mother, so you will be going home with julie today"

Luke silently groaned at the amount of time be would have to spend in the same presence as Julie but said a quick "ok"

Another 5 minutes passed and Julie's mother had turned up, she explained that Luke's parents were on a business trip and that he would be staying with them for the next 2 weeks.

Again luke silently groaned. It wasn't that he hated the Molinas, in fact they were all great, except for their daughter, Julie Molina. He didnt know why he hated her but he did and it seemed that the feeling was mutual.

The two teens got in the car with mama molina and headed back to the molina household.

The first thing Rose did when they got home was send Julie and Luke to bed, luke was staying in the guest room for his stay there, he already had his things there as his parents dropped them off before they left.

Rose made sure the pair both had a bucket beside their bed in case they threw up, she put a box of tissues by each bed for runny noses and decided to feed them some tomato soup

It was now 10am the next day the night before had been nothing but coughing,puking, and sore throats.

Carlos was at school, ray was at some photoshoot and Rose was about to head to work but first she headed up to Julie's room.

"Julie I wanted to move Luke in here while I'm at work, just so you can both keep an eye on each other and make sure your both ok, would that be alright?"

Julie faked a smile "ye mom that's fine?"

10 minutes later, rose had gone to work and luke was in Julie's room, his mattress being moved to the floor of julies room, so the two didnt have to share a bed.

Luke kept coughing and wincing after each one because of the pain, but julie didnt care, she wanted to lay in silence and ignore Luke's presence but she couldn't do that if he was coughing all the time.

"Can you at least try to stop coughing!" She snapped

Luke looked up at julie startled "its not like your much better miss 'I'm freezing, now I'm boiling' seriously, either choose to keep the blanket off or on."

Of course they both knew it wasn't each other's faults but they just wanted to pick on each other.

The rest of that day was bickering, until the rest of the molina family came home. They decided to keep luke in Julie's room considering rose had to work the next morning again and luke would have to move again.

The next morning started off the same, Julie and luke were bickering like cats and dogs, until lunch time When they realised that they would have to make their own food.

The pair agreed on macaroni and cheese. Julie tried getting the box off the top shelf but couldn't reach, luke came up behind her reaching for it instead. it was when when he got the box down and Julie turned round they noticed the closeness of their bodies and jumped apart.

*cue awkward silence*

Julie attempted to break the silence "ugh, I'm freezing, I feel like an ice cube"

Luke laughed, but this time out of kindness

"Always with the dramatics molina" he teased whole heartedly

Julie pouted "I have to be dramatic I'm a drama student!"

Luke chuckled 'that's cute' 'hold on what? Since when did I find her cute?? I don't find her cute, she's annoying' luke tried convincing himself before ignoring his thoughts

"How long till the mac and cheese is done?" He asked

"Few more minutes, you could help yanno?" Julie replied sassily

"I'm helping by staying out of the way" he grinned cheekily.

Julie rolled her eyes.

After that day the two hadn't been fighting as much, of course they still bickered, but not as much as they used too.

By the end of the week, julie and luke were almost fully cured, the whole week luke had stayed in Julie's room and the pair had become a lot closer that before, they both liked teasing each other but in a nice way, along the way they had both come to a realisation though.

They liked each other

And as much as that scared them, they decided to go ahead and tell one another what's the worst that could happen, they hate each other? Pfft, they already did before.

So here we are now, the pair are watching a movie in the livingroom, Julie's head had found it's way to Luke's lap and Luke's hands had instinctively played with Julie's hair.

Halfway through the movie 'tangled' luke spoke up

"Hey, jules?"

Julie lifted her head off Luke's lap though disappointed at the lack of contact

"Yeah?"

"I have something to tell you" Luke bit his lip nervously

Julie both hated and loved it when he bit his lip, she found it really hot when he did it, but it made it so much harder to hide her feelings

"Ok, go on" she replied, totally not staring at Luke's lip, what are you talking about?

"Well I uh..." luke stuttered

Julie giggled at his nervousness "spit it out luke"

"I like like you" luke blurted out

Julie looked shocked for a minute before breaking out into a grin

"I like like you too luke"

And the rest was history

I hope that's ok for you, I decided to make them hate each other at the beginning because I thought it would be like a love hate kinda thing, those are my favourite couples. Tell me what you think
