The Molina family were all watching a movie when a knock sounded at the door.

Ray paused the movie while rose got up to answer the door.

Julie could faintly hear conversation from the door but couldn't make out any words, when suddenly her mother walked in the room a boy following behind her.

"Luke? Hey man what are you doing here?" Asked reggie doing his bro hug thing with Him.

"Luke is going to stay with us for a while" said rose kindly, meanwhile julie was malfunctioning.

Omg hes looking at me

So it may be a hidden fact that Julie had a bit of a crush on her brothers best friend, ok so it was more than a bit but nobody needed to know that.

It occured to Julie then that everyone was staring at her.

She cleared her throat and said "what???"

Luke chuckled and said "you were kinda out of it for a while, are you ok?"

Before Julie could have another malfunction at Luke's concern, Ray jumped in "your not coming down with anything are you?" He worried concerned

Julie nervously chuckled "no no I'm fine, im just going to... do some uh chemistry homework that I forgot about ...yeah"

She jumped up and stumbled her way to the stairs, only earning more confused looks.

Before she went up she said "hi luke, it's nice having you here, make yourself at home"

yeah she died of embarrassment that night

Luke had been at her house for a couple of weeks now, he was just like a member of the family.

Julie's crush was still ever growing and she hated it.

It was 3 in the morning, julie had woken up coughing and throwing up. She could hear Luke in the next room coughing too, it seems they were both Ill

That night, Julie didnt get any sleep, and from what she can hear, luke didnt get much either.

Rose came in her room cheerful "rise and shine!" But stopped when she saw Julie's red eyes

"Oh honey, did you get any sleep last night?" She asked

"No mom, I think I'm Ill, Luke might be too" says Julie, her voice raspy.

Rose frowned "ok I'm going to go check on Luke"

Rose walked into Luke's room and saw he was in the same state as Julie "aw honey, you and Julie wont be going to school today, your both Ill"

Luke nodded tiredly.

Rose exited the room, heading to the kitchen to make the pair oatmeal.

She explained to Reggie and her husband that the two were sick

"Oh ok, well keep them away from me, I dont want germs" said Reggie

Rose nodded "dont worry they will both be in their rooms" but then thoughtfully added "actually they will both be in one room, it's easier on me"

Ray nodded unsure about the idea "are you sure honey? I dont like the idea"

Rose rolled her eyes at ray "they will be fine, nothing will happen"

Reggie squealed "awe JUKE!"

Rose finished making the oatmeal and took it upstairs where she explained to both Julie and luke that Julie would be moving to Luke's room for the time being while they were sick.

Both agreed and so Julie slowly made her way into Luke's room

"Oh and you will have to share the bed, I don't have an air mattress" rose said, she had this look in her eye, like she was planning something

Julie was sure they had an air mattress but she was to tired and sick to care, she climbed into Luke's bed, fully intending to go to sleep as soon as her head hit he pillow

It seemed luke had the same idea because as soon as rose left the room they both slept till the next day.

When luke woke up, he wasnt feeling any better than the day before.

He noticed that him and Julie had switched their positions during the night.

Their legs were entangled, Julie's head was on his chest and his arms were wrapped around her.

A feeling fluttered through him, he was well aware that he had a crush on the younger girl for a while now, but she was reggie younger sister so nothing could happen, it's not like the feelings were reciprocated anyway.

Just then, he felt Julie start to stir, when she opened her eyes Luke smiled softly at her as she began to blush, which he found adorable.

Julie moved so she wasnt on Luke anymore and was beside him.

"Morning how are you fee-" luke started but was interrupted by coughing

Julie giggled but soon started coughing along with the boy.

Just then rose walked in smiling at the two "morning sleepy heads, I see you aren't feeling any better, I've brought you both some green tea to help with the coughing."

The teens thanked her and drank the tea.

The week went on and each morning, Julie and luke would wake up cuddled together, the two had stopped moving away and pretty much stayed like that the entire time.

Now and then reggie would walk past the door and shout "JUKE" at them, neither of them understood what that meant and ignored him.

They had both gotten closer over the week, you could say they were best friends now, laughing and joking with each other, even telling secrets....well except one of course

Luke was in a laughing fit as Julie finished telling the story of when she was little

"I..I cant b..believe you....you-"

And he was in another laughing fit

Julir pouted her arms crossed "it's not THAT funny"

"Your scared of fish because one jumped out of the water and fit you on the face when you were younger, it's hilarious" he replies having calmed down

"Yeah yeah whatever, at least I didnt run outside naked to escape having a bath" julie proudly states, happy that she has that piece of information to blackmail him with (nicely of course)

Luke sighs "I was 2 years old!" he says defensively

"And I was 4 when that fish hit me in the face"

"Touché molina"

Rose walks in the room "you know you guys can walk out the room now right? Your not sick anymore"

Julie and Luke both look dumbfoundedly "oh" they both say

All three people in the room walk downstairs where reggie and Ray are waiting to start a movie

"Yay movie night!" Says Julie excitedly

"And the couple have returned to the universe, how was your time in quarantine, any kissing involved?" Reggie says reggie in a weird deep voice as if he was interviewing them

Luke chuckles "shut up man"

The pair sit down on the sofa, luke between reggie and Julie, julie between Luke and her mother. Reggie and ray at each end of the sofa

They put on the movie 'Up"

Half way through the movie, Ray and Rose are cuddled into each other, Julie's head is on Luke's shoulder, his head on hers and Reggie Is cuddling a pillow as if it were a person because he has nobody to cuddle.

After the movie ends, everyone gets up from their positions stretching

"So, are you two together now?" Reggie asks

Julie blushes furiously, shocked while luke stutters

"Uh- wha- why would you think that?"

"Because you spent the whole movie cuddling and you act like a couple" rose answers

"Yeah we thought you would have revealed your feelings when you were sick" ray adds, everyone practically forcing them to admit it to each other

Julie speaks up now still blushing while Luke looks at the floor embarrassed

"No, we aren't together, but I wouldnt mind it" she says subtly hinting

She cant believe shes doing this infront of her family

Luke looks up smiling "Julie Molina, would you do me the Honour of letting me take you on a date sunday" he asks

Julie laughs and replies "I would love too"

Maybe them getting sick was fates way of telling them to hurry up and date already
