Luke proposes to Julie

Julie and luke had been together for 5 years now. 5 years ago julie had sung perfect harmony to luke and from that day on the two were known as 'juke'.

They both had their own house together, the band was now one of the most popular bands across America, Canada and the UK and it was like a happily ever after...

Except for one thing

They weren't married.

Luke had been wanting to propose to Julie for a while but his nerves got the better of him and stopped him from doing it until Alex and reggie all too happily told him to man up and propose already.

Luke had trouble coming up with an idea now to propose to julie. It had to be special and not some 'take her out to dinner and propose'

There were a lot of ideas, picnic and propose but that was just as bad as dinner and propose so that was a no.

Flashmob but Luke wasnt quite sure how to put that together and organise it so that idea was turned down as well.

Many more ideas were suggested and went through Luke's mind but all of them either weren't good enough or were too complicated, until one day Flynn overheard them talking about it.

"I dont know bro, I'm all out of ideas, I need to find the perfect idea" sighed luke

"Its just a proposal luke, I get you want it to be special but you could literally just go find her right now and ask and she would say yes." Said alex.

"Yeah that's not going to happen, not on my watch because my girl deserves way more than that. Luckily I have the perfect idea" flynn says interrupting their conversation.

All three guys turned to her with shocked expressions.

"Uh- we were just-" luke sighed "what do you have in mind?"

"Well, what's one of the most important things in Julies life?" Flynn asks

"Music?"

"The band?"

"Luke?"

"Exactly! Your next concert is in about 3 weeks So what if you propose at one of your concerts?"

Luke lights up like a Christmas tree " that's perfect why didnt I think of that!"

"Well-" starts reggie but was interrupted by alex

"That was rhetorical bud"

Ignoring the conversation infront of her flynn says "alright I will help you organise it if you need it just text me, I have to go look for julie, any idea where she is?"

"She went to see Ray and Tia" answers luke

"Ok, and boys, dont discuss Julie's proposal in her own home where she could literally walk in any second" and with that flynns gone.

"Who wants pizza?" Asks reggie.

"Sure, we can go to the pizzeria down town that's just opened, we can discuss more details there" says Luke already grabbing his coat.

And yes, luke wears a coat with sleeves. Julie had managed to convince him that wearing a coat without sleeves is stupid and looks ridiculous over the years.

Three weeks later, the day had come to propose.

They plan was simple. They would do the show as normal, Julie would be about to end the show with a "we are julie and the phantoms, tell your friends" when Luke would interrupt, playing a song which was fit for a proposal, then after the song, a few people in the crowd would turn a sign saying "Marry me?" With the rest of the crowd holding purple coloured lights, making the scene all that prettier.

Ok so maybe not that simple, but it would work.

Luke had arranged for the staff to hand out each audience member a purple light with instructions of what to do with it and when, and flynn, reggie and alex (who would have made their way to the crowd while luke was singing) would be there in the middle holding up the sign.

"Luke hun what's wrong? Your acting all jittery and nervous" julie asked concerned taking her boyfriends hand in hers.

They were all currently in the limo (yes limo) heading to the venue for their concert and luke had been nervous all morning, he couldnt stop thinking about the ways it could all go wrong and now julie had noticed the weirdness in his behaviour.

Luke tried to give a reassuring smile "I'm fine baby, just a but if pre-show never that's all" luke squeezes julie hand.

Julie frowned "but you dont get pre-show nerves, your always to excited to get nervous"

Luke nervously chuckles

"What's going on luke?" Asks Julie in a dangerously low voice, he had known her boyfriend long enough to know that something was bothering him.

Luke huffs "fine you caught me, but I would rather not tell you now, after the show I will tell you"

Julie sighs but let's it go trusting her boyfriend would tell her what was going on after the show.

Reggie discretely nudges Luke's shoulder and whispers in his ear

"Everything with be fine, the plans not going to screw up and shes going to say yes"

That calmed luke down a little. The plan wouldnt go wrong, the was nothing that could go wrong and if julie didnt want to be with him then she would have broken up with him by now. Marriage is just a title.

The show had gone well, they had just finished their last song and it was time for the bug moment.

"Thankyou! We're julie and the phan-" julie was interrupted by luke.

"Uh actually theres one more song"

Julie looked in confusion "there is? Did I forget one?"

Luke took her hands and led her to a chair that had been placed in the middle of the stage.

"No you didnt, this is something different, its something I've been wanting to do for a while so just sit back and listen."

Julie sat down and luke took his acoustic guitar and started to play the opening to 'thinking out loud' by ed Sheeran.

It had taken a bit to figure out what Luke was on about but when Julie finally figured it out, tears sprung to her eyes.

"Oh baby, we found love right where we are (maybe)

And we found love right where we are" luke finished the song placing his guitar down on the stand and walked over to Julie.

"Julie, I have loved you ever since the day I first met you, I always knew I wanted a future with you. We would get together, go on cute dates, get married, have a family and grow old together, I cant imagine my life without you so that is why I hope you'll make me the happiest man alive and-" luke gestured to the crowd where the purple lights are help by everyone and alex, reggie and Flynn are all sporting massive grins holding up the sign for julie to see.

"Will you marry me?" Luke whispers into her ear.

By now Julie was balling, she had her hands over her mouth in shock. The crowd was silent with anticipation

Julie hadn't given luke an answer yet and he was starting to get nervous when Julie suddenly jumped up shouting "of course I will you doofus"

Julie pulled luke in for a kiss, not caring about anyone else.

The audience had erupted into cheers, they were all chanting "juke! Juke! Juke!"

Flynn, reggie and alex had run up back on stage but stayed back to give the couple their moment. Instead they were encouraging the crowd to cheer more, jumping up and down with the crowd shouting "juke! juke! juke!"

When the engaged couple pulled away, they were both crying happy tears.

"I love you baby" whispered Julie

"I love you more" whispered back luke.

"Oh yeah here" luke pulled put a beautiful diamond ring, sliding it onto Julie's finger.

Julie laughed then turned to the crowd joining in with everyone jumping up and down shouting "juke juke juke"

Soon luke joined in too.

Eventually the crew had to force the band off stage, and force the fans to leave which was quite the task I tell you.

The band, plus flynn were back in the limo heading to their houses (or mansions)

Flynn, reggie and alex had all fallen asleep, each had their head on one another.

Juke however were still awake, to excited and in disbelief to sleep.

Julie was on Luke's lap head on his chest, Luke's head leaning on hers. They both had their eyes closed thinking.

'She said yes'

'I'm getting married to the love on my life'

Ahhh, juke proposal. Sorry this took longer, tbh I started writing it then forgot until today.

I would appreciate it if you didnt ask me to write the marriage scene though only because I'm terrible at it and wouldnt know what to do. Sorry.
