Continuing on from last chapter

It had been a week since luke first came over to Julie's house and luke was now fully comfortable with Julie, in fact one of his favourite things to do was tease her about her height.

Right now they were over Julie's house again, they had finished the project, but Julie kept inviting him over. You could say they were friends now.

"Ugh, I cant believe Netflix have renewed every single show except the one show i actually want to be renewed! It's been 6 months!" Exclaimed Julie as she threw her phone at luke, popping down on the sofa next to him.

Luke caught the phone, luckily she hadn't aimed it at his head.

"Jeez Jules, no need to abuse me for it" luke playfully pouted.

Julie shot him a brief apologetic look before standing back up going into a rant.

Luke sighed, watching her amused before he decides to stop her before she threw something else at him.

Luke stood up, grabbing Julie's flinging arms and held them still.

"Jules, I'm sure the show will be renewed soon, plus you said everyones going crazy over it right? Well if that's the case then I'm sure Netflix will have to renew the show" he said effectively calming her down.

"Unless they want a bunch of angry teenagers knocking at their doors" he added mumbling it under his breath.

"Yeah, sorry, I just get passionate sometimes, what do you want to do?" Asked Julie.

Luke sat back down on the couch, dragging julie with him, making them end up in a uncomfortable position so they shifted until Julie was sat on the sofa but turned sideways, her legs on Luke's lap.

Julie had found out that once luke got comfortable with your he was a very touchy person.

"I dont know, I'm to tired to do anything energetic" luke answered julies earlier question.

Julie hummed in thought, she was chewing on her lip while she thought and luke thought it was pretty damn cute.

"We could just order pizza and watch movies?" Julie suggested to which luke agreed.

It was hard to believe that just a week ago, luke was afraid of Julie. Even carrie and Flynn were shocked at how close the pair had gotten.

At school, the three had decided to put a stop to any bullying they saw, they never enjoyed seeing others being out down anyway, the only thing stopping them from doing it before was expectations but they honestly didnt care anymore, the girls were popular enough that their status wouldnt fall any time soon.

They decided they wouldnt hang around with luke and his friends, they didnt want ti bring to many changes to the school yet and then there was the fact thst flynn, carrie, alex and reggie barely knew each other so they decided then would be civil to each other but otherwise it would be normal.

"What movie do you want to watch?" Asked luke while Julie was trying to get hold on the pizza place.

"You choose" answered julie as the pizza place finally answered.

Turned out that letting luke pick a movie wasnt a good idea.

He had chosen a horror movie, and normally, julie could handle horror movies but the ine he had put on was so god damn terrifying that julie was hiding behind a pillow and still screaming bloody murder at all the noises she could hear.

And luke...well luke found it hilarious.

As another jumpscare popped up and julie screamed again for the 50th time that night she decided enough was enough.

"Godammit luke turn it off! Turn it off! Turn it off! Turn it off! Turn it off!" Yelled julie, beating him the pillow until the tv was pitch black.

Luke was still chuckling to himself once the movie was off while julie was giving him the silent treatment and wouldnt look at him.

"Aww come on Jules, how was I to know that movie was terrifying?" Luke tried,

"I'm sorry?" He tried apologising.

"For what lucas?" Julie glared at him, making him gulp.

"For uh- for laughing at you and for choosing a movie that was so terrifying" he stuttered out.

Julie glared a bit more before she smiled again "you owe me icecream" she decided.

"I do?" Asked luke confusedly but when julie glared at him he quickly spoke again "I mean of course I do!"

Julie grinned "let's go!" She ran out the door excitedly.

Luke chuckled, julie could be scary when she wanted to be but she was so godamn adorable around him.

After luke had taken julie to get icecream, he took her home and then realised he had to go home.

"Hey Jules, I actually have to go, my parents want me home by 8" he informed her when he pulled up to her house.

Julie nodded but then suddenly turned nervous.

"Uh, before you go I wanted to ask you something" she bit her lip nervously, a habit luke had noticed she did when she got nervous or if she was thinking.

He gently used his thumb to pull her lip from her teeth, smiling softly as he did it making julie blush at the action.

When luke nodded for her to go on she continued.

"Uh, well I was wondering... if you would maybe, want to...be my boyfriend?" She eventually got out but immediately looked down, scared to see his reaction.

Luke lifted her head softly before pressing his lips against hers.

Pulling away after a moment or so luke said "if it wasnt obvious, I would love to be your boyfriend Jules"

The pair stared into eachithers eyes for a minute before julie cleared her throat.

"Right, you have to go, I'll uh, see you on monday?" Asked Julie

"See you on monday" luke confirmed kissing her again before she got out of the car and headed inside.

Once luke knew she was safely inside he headed home.

Monday rolled around fast, julie did her usual routine, flynn picked her up along with carrie, they stopped for coffee before heading to school.

This time though, when they got to Flynns locker, they could hear the commotion down the hall.

Immediately, the girls knew what it was, despite them telling the school that there would be no bullying, especially luke patterson. Clearly they hadn't listened.

With scowls on their faces, the three made their way to the direction of the chaos in their formation (Carrie in the front, julie and flynn flocking beside her)

"Hey!" Yelled carrie which made everyone freez with fear, including the other populars.

"What the hell do you think your doing?" Asked julie angrily, stepping out of formation to approach luke, holding his hand and standing slightly infront of him protectively.

Right now, julie didnt care if the whole school knew her and Luke were together.

"What did we tell you, along with everyone else in this school Abigail?" Flynn asked glaring, her voice covered with anger.

They may not know luke that well but he was Julie's boyfriend, which meant he was going to become apart of their group eventually.

When Abigail didnt answer carrie stepped forward threateningly

"You, uh, you told us that there would be no more bullying" gulped abigail.

"So what on earth are you doing?" Julie's voice was scarily low.

"I uh- um-" abigail stuttered for a response

"Get out of here Abigail before julie starts slapping the frig out of you. And if I catch you bullying anyone else, I will personally throw a punch" shouted carrie.

"Scrat! All of you!" Shouted Flynn when everyone was still crowded around them.

Julie turned around, frantically asking luke of he was ok.

"Jules I'm fine, dont worry" luke reassured, but his confidence and teasing comments weren't there. Julie could already tell, Luke became someone completely different when he was at school.

They were interrupted by two male voices.

"Luke, are you alright dude? What happened?"

It was Luke's friends, julie stepped back beside her friends, feeling out of place now that his friends had come.

"Yeah man I'm fine, why?" Luke asked, they hadn't been there, how would they know something had happened?

"Dude, the whole school is buzzing with the news that the 3 most popular girls in school defended you from Abigail and one of them even held you hand. You have a girlfriend and you didnt tell us????"

Luke winced at his friends loudness at the end "yell it louder reg, I'm pretty sure they couldnt hear you over in austraila"

Luke seemed to remember that the girls were there and introduced them.

"Oh yeah uh, Jules, carrie, Flynn this is Alex and reggie"

Alex and reggie turned around slowly, not realised that they had company and certainly not realising it was the most popular girls in school.

"Uh hey" the two awkwardly waved.

The girls put on friendly smiles, trying to show the boys that they weren't actually heartless.

"Which one is your girlfriend?" Alex stage whispered to luke purposely making sure they heard him as revenge for luke not telling them.

Luke rolled his eyes while Julie laughed.

"I am, hi, nice to meet you, I would introduce us but I'm pretty sure you know who we are" she smiled kindly moving to stand next to Luke again now that everyone had been introduced.

"I would like to add that, we are not that mean as we portrayed, it was all fake" added Flynn.

At their confused looks carrie chuckled and said "it's a long story, but I'm pretty sure we are going to be seeing a lot of each other now that the love birds are together" she gestured to the couple who were flirting as if their friends weren't even there.

Alex chuckled "looks like it"

Reggie suddenly bounced forward a grin on his face "Hi, your flynn right?" He asked, when she nodded he continued "your very pretty, can I take you on a date some time?" He asked, way more confident than anyone should be asking someone out.

Alex gaped at his friend and swatted him at the back of his head "reg you cant just ask someone you've just met out, much less-"

Alex was interrupted by Flynn who was giggling at reggie who seemed to be mimicking everything he was saying.

"Sure, I like a man of confidence, you can take me on a date reg" said Flynn making reggie beam.

Meanwhile alex and carrie were confused on what just happened.

Carrie sighed "we are going to be the ones with the brain cell of the group arent we?"

Alex let out a similar sigh "most definitely"

It was then the group broke out of their perspective bubbles and realised there was no-one in the hallway.

"Uh guys, I think we are late to homeroom" said Julie, her hand in Luke's.

"Well we could always skip?" Suggested Flynn, always the daring one of them all.

"No!" Yelled carrie and alex.

Julie, reggie and Luke all groaned

"Oh come on, we've already missed half of it anyway" complained reggie.

Carrie and Alex ended up dragging them all to homeroom.

By lunch, word had gotten around that nkt only had the two groups united but also that Julie Molina and Luke patterson were dating, making luke the center of attention.

The girls were on their way to the cafeteria when reggie ran up to them telling Julie that luke was having a panic attack.

Julie immediately ran after reggie, desperate to make sure her boyfriend was ok and Flynn and Carrie both followed after.

When they got to luke, alex stepped back from like letting julie take over.

"Hey luke honey, match my breathing ok" said julie, exaggerating her breathing a bit.

She did this a bit until luke had calmed down.

"What happened?" Carrie asked alex for everyone.

"I actually dont know" he answered.

Luke, who now had his head on Julie's shoulder, previously listening to her talk in spanish so he was grounded and didnt have another panic attack spoke up.

"Everyone kept staring at me and it freaked me out because I'm not used to the attention, you guys know I'm a completely different person at school, just like julie, carrie and Flynn were except I become the freaked out, shy nerd everyone tells me I am" his words were a bit jumbled, and he was very quiet but they managed to make out what he was saying.

"We are going to make sure you feel like you can be yourself at school, I promise you" julie said, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"Eventually, everyone will get bored and they will get over the news about you and Julie, it shouldn't be to bad then" carrie reassured.

"Yeah dude, and your not that shy kid, that's a complete lie because normally, outside of school we cant get you to shut up" laughed Alex earning a chuckle out of everyone.

"Thanks guys, I think that eventually with you guys beside me, I can have that confidence I have outside of school, back with me in school." Luke smiled.

"That's good to hear" smiled julie and pulled him up."come on, I'm hungry" she started dragging him to the cafeteria

"I'm also hungry, to the cafeteria!" Shouted reggie and started running after julie and luke.

The rest of them followed, also hungry but didnt exit dramatically like reggie.

This was the start of something new.
