《hunter x hunter》How He Treats You When You Are Sick
Advertisement
-As you would imagine, he is very helpful
-Takes your temperature, runs you a hot bath, changes your bedsheets to nice freshly washed ones while you're bathing
-Lays out clean fluffy pajamas for you
-Says, "You must be feeling awful, but I'm sure you'll be better in a couple days"
-After making sure you're comfortable, he sticks around the house to keep an eye on you, but is very quiet so you can sleep/rest
-Runs to the store for a big supply of juice and popsicles
-Gives you his favorite, well-worn-in, super-comfy hoodie to wear
-Urges you to get some rest, but asks if you'd rather have him there or be alone
-When you say you'd like him to stay, he entertains you with stories about growing up in the Zoldyck family while bathing your forehead with a cold wet cloth
-Tiptoes out of the room when you fall asleep
-Runs down all your symptoms and makes a quick call to the medical clinic
-Chats with a nurse on duty
-Jots down notes while talking to her
-Says "Well, sounds like you just need a little TLC and you'll be good as new in a few days!"
-Makes you some hot tea and a cup of broth and feeds it to you
-Puts on relaxing music at a low volume to lull you to sleep
-Checks all your vital signs, temperature, etc.
-Says heartily, "Well, I think you'll live," when he's done
-Explains that you picked up a nasty virus (NOTE: IT IS NOT COVID!!!) and that the best thing to do right now is get lots of sleep
-He makes you weird smoothies using whatever he has in the kitchen, kind of strange combinations of fruits, but you are too tired to refuse them
-When you fall asleep he goes online to see if there's anything he's overlooked with your symptoms

-Of course, the first thing he says is, "Don't get me sick"
-But you look so pitiful he actually gives in and says "Fine, fine, I'll take care of you"
-He lets you stay at his place and is surprisingly attentive
-He's still Hisoka, though, and although you feel like crap you find yourself laughing at his awful filthy humor
-You have to hand it to him: At least he doesn't make a pass at you this time
-He is the oldest of five kids so is used to dealing with sick siblings and all that
-Asks if you are going to throw up
-(If you are, he needs to get a bucket for the side of the bed)
-When you say no, he feels your forehead, gets you a soda with lots of ice, tells you to sip it slowly
-He has stuff to do during the day but texts to make sure you're doing OK and arrives home exactly when he says he will
-Puts you to bed immediately
-Reads aloud to you from the book he's currently reading
-Goes on Yelp to figure out where to get the best matzoh ball soup in town
-Has UberEats deliver enough of it to feed a dozen people
-Says reassuringly, "Just you rest, sweetheart, I'm taking care of everything"
-Taking care of sick people is not his strong suit
-But he sees how miserable you are and does his best
-He gives you a bath and washes your hair because you are too weak to do it yourself
-Gives you some of his clean clothes to wear
-Gets you bundled up in bed, and like Chrollo, opens a book, but he just sits next to you and reads silently to himself
-He's actually remarkably calming to be around
-Sees your face and says, "Oh man, are you not feeling good?"
-Tells you that you need to drop everything and just go to bed
-You can't fight it so you listen to him and pass out on his bed
-He says, "OK, don't worry, stay as long as you need..."
-Asserts that he never gets sick and he's not scared of a little bug
-He falls asleep himself, but sets an alarm on his phone to check up on you every hour or two to make sure your fever isn't spiking
