《hunter x hunter》Taking Him To A Sporting Event
Advertisement
-You take him to a college football (major rivalry) game
-He excitedly asks which side to root for, and makes sure he has all the team gear
-Screams himself hoarse at every touchdown
-Luckily you're sitting on the correct side of the stadium, or the opposing fans would probably dump a beer on his head
-Yells "What the fuck, asshole?" at a bad ref call
-You give him a look, and he smiles sheepishly
-You pick basketball for him
-He wears a team jersey and matching high-tops, and is impressed by the celebrities in the good seats
-Doesn't seem too impressed or excited for most of the game but watches it carefully
-It gets hairy at the end and he finally can't help himself
-He jumps up and cheers
-You figure a nice relaxing baseball game in the warm weather would be great for him
-You buy him a baseball cap which he wears happily (the sun is pretty strong)
-You're up in the higher seats, so there's a few empty chairs around you
-He puts up his feet on the seat in front of him, leans back, orders two beers and a bag of peanuts from the vendor
-He sighs contentedly and settles down to watch the game
-He nearly gets beaned by a foul ball
-Peanuts and beer fly everywhere
-Poor Kurapika!
-You take him to the US Open and warn him he needs to be chill
-He retorts sarcastically, "I understand that tennis is a gentleman's sport"
-Of course, he can't help sputtering and cursing when his favorite player messes up
-You escort him out of there fast before you get kicked out
-You think long and hard about it and decide soccer is best for Hisoka because it has an inordinate amount of hot-looking international men for him to stare at

-To your surprise, Hisoka dresses down in a t-shirt and shorts, wears his hair down, and doesn't paint anything on his face
-It's all a ploy so he can blend in with the crowd...all the better to stare pervish-ly at the players and lick his lips
-"Did you ever realize 'gooooooalllll' rhymes with 'hole'?" he whispers to you
-You'd love nothing more to bring Illumi to a loud obnoxious event like the Super Bowl and see if he might, by some miracle, get pumped up...but you know better
-You end up taking him to the PGA Championship
-This is perfect for him; he watches it all in total silence like a good spectator
-He is dressed impeccably in khakis, a polo, and a visor, with his hair tied back...all of which surprisingly suit him admirably
-As you leave, he remarks, "Maybe I should take up golf, seems relaxing"
-You can definitely take Chrollo to an obnoxious event like the Super Bowl; knowing him he'd love being at the biggest US sporting event of the year
-You proudly tell him that you managed to score tickets
-He looks at the tickets, sees they are general seating, appears unimpressed, and says, "Let me take care of this," flicking the tickets into the trash
-You scream, "Chrollo! Those cost a ton of money!"
-He laughs
-On the big day he picks you up in a limo
-He somehow got a skybox at the stadium, and it's fully catered with gourmet food, liquor, and an assortment of A-list celebs meandering around
-Obviously, Feitan will love the NHL
-All that blood and gore, and hockey pucks slamming into player's mouths, and skate blades ripping up their shins, et al
-He does like it, but is determined to remain cool and doesn't cheer or yell or anything like that
-When a fight breaks out on the ice, however, he does jump up and make a sort of a squeak
-He realized what he did, and immediately goes back to studying the game program
-You just know Shalnark will love NASCAR!
-It was kind of a tossup between that and horse racing, but you decided you better not get him into gambling and betting, at least not off the bat
-You take him to the track and he loves everything about it
-He's really excited when one car totally overshoots and slams into a wall
-"Aw, shit, they actually are alive?!" he blurts, when the emergency team gets the driver out successfully

this is going to be a fanfic of the marvel cinematic universe including x-men, deadpool and etc. i will tweek some events and timelines so that everything adds up. this story is about Richard Rider the original Nova although he has a little something extra. our mc will be navigating what it means to be a powerhouse in a universe filled with monsters like Thanos , Galactus and Apocalypse. but before we get to the final boss fights he must deal with the hardships of life. yes it will be one of those novels. i actually like having a plot. i know everyone wants to see the mc collect infinity stones and blast bad guys with secret easter eggs but no. NOVA might be one of the strongest heroes but i'm gonna make him go through hell to succeed. oh and i did say he has a little something extra, it means that he wont always be the good guy.

I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to read my work. Everything posted here is mostly the first draft for a book that I am work on. When complete it will have between 30-40 chapters & roughly 70k words. I'm very new to writing so hopefully over time you will see an improvement. This is also a side hobby so new chapters may be slow I"m sorry. Work and my family take priority. Thanks again for your time and please leave feedback as that helps me improve my writing.

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
