Full disclosure I live with a HxH freak and we have watched 2011 and 1999 extensively and have considered starting a podcast for all the "things you always wanted to know about HxH, discussed." Here's a few we've had long involved discussions about.

-What exactly was he doing with the older women he took on dates?

-Was he embarrassed to be naked in front of Killua? Like with all those bath scenes

-Why does Ging send him on an entire saga that literally almost kills him and then just shows up at the Chairman election like nothing the fuck happened?

-What the hell is up with that visor his mother wears?

-What was going on in the "exciting movie" he watched in the hotel?

-Why does he have such a soft spot for Alluka but not for anyone else in the family?

-I'm sorry but the Alluka thing is weird. He doesn't love Kalluto like that

-Also why is Milluki always wearing pink. And a pink shirt with a ruffled collar. WTF up with that

-Sorry, throwing all my Zoldyck questions here

-Oh yeah and sorry, Kil, but why on earth is Killua the family heir when Illumi is a freaking badass who breezed through the Hunter exam, can literally control people's brains just by sticking pins in their heads, and is the oldest child who appears completely obedient and compliant to his parents' wishes. Why the FUCK would anyone choose Killua when you already have that? I mean really

-I LOVE Killua but I'm just sayin'. Most parents would be like, okay, the oldest one who is already a suckup gets the title

-Parents always love the oldest child best, fight me on that

-Is it wrong to porn out on that 1999 scene where he gets totally naked and bites his finger and a chain comes out? I mean it was an existential crisis and all that but it was hella sexy

-Is it wrong to wish he wore different shoes?

-How often does he need to shave his face?

-What really did he do in the trick tower to Leroute?

-How long did he do it for?

-We all know he's a pedo, but given the choice between spending the night with Machi or Illumi, which one would he pick?

-In the manga you can see the underwear he changes into when he gets out of the shower but in the anime you can't and this is really just a huge oversight because I mean who doesn't want to analyze Hisoka's underpants for more than just one panel

-Does Illumi shave his armpits? You never really see what's going on, even if he wears sleeveless. It's such a tease

-Is he the type of guy who would wax it all off? FULL BODY? OK so if he actually did wax it all off including his candy shop, can you actually imagine him doing that himself? Like think about it

-In 1999, why does he take off his Gittarackur disguise to steer the ship when his goddamn little brother is right there and might see it and his most literally defining feature is his long hair?

-More waxing questions. Does Chrollo wax his chest?

-This conversation went on for a really long time

-Related to this: Why is Chrollo into wearing a long fur-trimmed coat with no shirt underneath? It really makes no sense. He sometimes puts on the shirt which makes it more confusing

-Where the hell is Feitan's spider tattoo?

-Why is he so damn cut?

-Why is the scene where he fights Zazan literally the hottest thing ever to be animated?

-Why does he cover it all up? Sheesh

-Does he look better with blond or red hair?
