《Enda (Boyxboy)》Chapter Ten: That Love/Hate You Feel For Friends...Best Friends :D

The sun shines through the tiny barred window into my eyes. I grab my pillow and sandwich my head between the pillow and the hard bed. Then groan in agony as I can't return to dream world.
"Canton, it's time to get up." Ujik growls, the sun probably shining on him making him mad. Something heavy smacks into my ribcage and I groan in pain. Peeking under the pillow at who did it. Dukem lifting up his pillow and slamming it on my stomach again.
"Why is it so fucking hard?"
"That's what she said." Ujik hisses, I chuckle. Dukem laughs loud.
"I just had to walk into that." I snarl, hitting Dukem in the face with my pillow. He falls over Ujik crawling out from under the bed and glares at me. Ujik groans in agony.
"Get your fat ass off of me. I can't die but your ass is killing me..." Ujik whines. Dukem chuckles and makes himself more comfortable. Ujik groans in pain. The guard shows up.
"Alright guys get.." He stops, looking over Dukem and Ujik. A smile appears on his face. Ujik's hand waves at him.
"Help! Help me!"
"Alright Dukem quit torturing Ujik. Get off of him." The guard says, amused.
"Ooh." A choir of voices cheer. I can't help but burst into laughter.
Behind the guard grey suits go by in between 2 guards for each grey suit. My eyes dart to his eyes. Mulnire smiles at me. I smile back and blow a kiss. Catching myself as he's now out of sight. What just happened? His eyes! Dammit! Son of a...
"Breakfast So Hurry Up!" The guard screams at us. I slide down the side of the bunks and shiver as my feet touch the cold cement. My shoes missing. My eyes dart around the cell searching but coming up with nothing.
Once in the cafeteria, I dart around the room searching for Mulnire. Finding him sitting alone near a window. Ujik said that Mulnire needs to be near the windows because Dragonheart's need to be reminded of the calm skies. I stiffen. Should I go and talk to him?
"Moon Pie!" Ujik's voice squeals, I turn to see a blushing red Suzuki. Islandmin file into the cafeteria. I furrow my brows at them. Why are they here?
"Hey...guys." Suzuki responds, quietly. Embarrassed. Other Islandmin laugh at him and tease him with his nick name.
"Stop it or I'll kill all of you." Ujik threatens, losing his cutesy look immediately. The Islandmin laugh.
"Look Moon pie has protection. What a joke." The leader of the Islandmin group teases. Ujik tenses up. Yep, I'm going to sit near Mulnire.
Siting down beside him quietly. My attention stays on the 4 guards trying to hold Ujik back. I huff, he's a vampire. He knows it all. A hand touches my arm gently. My eyes meet Mulnire's. Then my heart skips a best again. How many times since yesterday? Mulnire smiles. But looks deep in thought. His eyes looking past me at Ujik clawing at the Islandmin. I chuckle.
"They're stupid. Fighting over something like that." Mulnire hisses, his hand tightening on my arm. I look at him. "Don't ever be like that."

"What do you mean? Those are my friends." I defend them, making Mulnire let go of my arm. Getting up and walking away. Feeling Mulnire's glare on my back. Sitting down in our usual spot. Suzuki joins us, happily. Ujik just sits close to him and watches Suzuki take a bite of his food. Licking his lips hungry. Suzuki looks at him. Ujik points to his retracting fangs.
"Go for it, babe." Suzuki says, Ujik grins sinking his fangs into Suzuki's shoulder. I wince. Suzuki just sighs.
"Doesn't that hurt?" I ask, confused.
"Nope. It tickles actually."
"Oh. Well..." I trail off watching Ujik drink up Suzuki's blood.
"So there is a Dragonheart here." Suzuki states, glaring at Mulnire. I peek over my shoulder. They basically stare at each other with these terrifying eyes. I shiver and cross my arms, shivering.
"What's wrong with it?"
"Dragonhearts and Islandmins haven't gotten along since the First World War here in Enda." Suzuki explains, looking at me. Those eyes full of seriousness. I just nod. "The Dragonhearts were convinced that the reason that most of their master air clan race was wiped out because of the water clan's testings. The water clan is famous for creating and thinking up ideas on how to and how to do. Islandmin were preyed upon by the Dragonhearts in their Dragon forms because then they could kill them for sending the air clan into extinction. This old grudge of the Dragonhearts has never subsided. Sadly, after that war the water clan was sent into hiding. Terrified of their extinction, the Dragonhearts had helped us but only to ensure the survival of a few dozen couples who could recreate the high population of water clan. Another sad point was that many of the major air clan villages and cities that had existed after the war with little to none air clan in it turned into big ghost cities. Rusted and most likely infested with monsters and useless without the air clan power within them." Suzuki sighs. I lean back. Noticing that I've leaned in wanting to hear the story. I actually like this History class better than Earth's. "You see, Canton, the air clan had a special power within their voices that could light up the night. This burst of light would contact the Dragonhearts. Drawing many to the air clan. If ever used upon a Dragonheart. The Dragonheart would go absolutely nuts attacking and tossing the air clan until they were basically hanging onto their lives and creating a seal between the air clan and the Dragonheart. So in some way the Dragonheart and this air clan were bound for life. The Dragon always having to be within 5 feet near their master or else they would die."
"That's incredible." I say in awe, "I wish I was an air clan. Then I could find out the secrets of the rusted ghost cities."
"Now that..." Dukem announces, "Is something I wouldn't mind doing. Just imagine all the shit we could find."
"There's a problem though."
"What's that?" I ask as Suzuki bursts my little bubble.
"The cities are locked down to the max. Only the voice of an air clan can open the sealed doors into an underground city." Suzuki states, my eyes widen.

"You didn't say they were underground!" I shout, in complete and utter awe. Suzuki is looking a bit pale. Ujik pulls away and licks at the two small holes on Suzuki's shoulder. Healing him up quickly. Wiping his face clean.
"All the air clan villages and cities are underground. The biggest one is supposedly the city called Favera. A rumour that was spreading across the globe was that each city and village was connected to Favera. But no one has ever reached it. Nobody hasn't ever gotten close." Ujik adds onto my fascination of the air clan. I sink down into my seat.
"How could they all die if they were all so smart?" I ask myself.
"Smartest with machines and their power but not the smartest in battle."
"Oh." I pout.
"I don't like how he's looking at me." Suzuki announces, glaring harshly at Mulnire.
I glance between them. Please don't start fighting. Mulnire stands up and starts to walk this way. My eyes widen. I get up and walk in front of him. He stops in his tracks. Eyes flicking a dark deep crimson red still firmly on Suzuki.
"Mulnire, please don't..." I reach my hand out and he hits it away. He steps closer. I put my hands on his shoulders. "That's enough, Mulnire. Be nice. Please."
"Get out of my way." A strong deep dark voice shouts in my head. I wince. Suzuki stands up behind me. I peek over my shoulder as the prisoners are escorted out of the cafeteria. The Islandmin being herded together. Mulnire makes a quick move. I jump.
"Mulnire, Stop!" I scream, bitch slapping him. His head snaps to the side.
Then hands are on my neck pushing me onto the table. Ujik and Dukem with the others behind the guards. I fall onto my back, struggling. I wrap my legs around Mulnire's waist scratching at his hands. That are loosening around my neck. I cough but freeze. Horrified as Mulnire's large teeth reveal themselves and he raises his hand. Giant razor sharp needles emerging from his nails. My eyes widen as he raises it up. Oh fuck. I'm gonna die. Oh fuck. Oh fuck. I remain frozen until his hand comes plunging down.
"NO!!!" I scream all loud as I can. Making my voice crack and break heavily. I hear a big boom and slowly peek through my eyes. Sooo how come I'm not dead yet?
Across the room lays Mulnire. In a state of awe. Staring at me, lustfully. What the fuck just happened? I glance over to the guys and see everyone with their mouths hanging ajar. Dukem shaking furiously in fear. What did I do? What happened?
"MINE!" Mulnire's voice rumbles throughout the cafeteria.
I look just in time to see him crawling creepily fast and slide off the table trying to run. He grabs my foot and I am suddenly not touching the ground anymore. I scream as I see the ground hitting the ceiling with a thud. My fucking back. I grimace and freeze as the floor gets closer to me. Well fuck!

Dukem's POV.
Canton....Canton just screamed. Then the air....the air....Mulnire flew. It's an...an air clan. Is Canton an air clan? I don't understand what's happening. I wince as Canton hits the floor, heavily and roughly. Mulnire pins Canton's limp body to the ground and sinks it's teeth into Canton's neck. I can't stop shaking. I'm...scared.
Mulnire glares at the guards and everyone standing near him. Some guards rush towards him and peel him off of Canton but within their feat Mulnire starts to scream. I cover my ears. His screams full of ear bursting pain. I watch though. His face starts to suddenly get cut up and the guards let him go. He crawls scarily fast back to Canton's body. Then in a flash of bright lights, he is transformed into his Dragon. Stepping over Canton and putting one foot on each side of his limp body. Laying his long golden neck down glancing around. Wings covering Canton the way an air balloon would. Mulnire's eyes full of fear and uneasiness.
I feel my knees give out under me and fall to the ground. My hands smacking against the ground. I lose my breath.
"Dukey." Ujik yells scared. Falling to his knees next to me. Holding me up.
"Canton's supposed to save Enda. I wondered why and how but now...now I can understand. Canton's not from Earth. Canton's from Enda. His power was lost so long ago." I babble to Ujik and Suzuki. They just listen. "Canton, is an air clan. He could be...the Prince."
I feel my head get light and lean against Ujik's chest. Listening to his heart beating. Pumping Suzuki's blood through his veins. Then my eyes get heavy. A little too heavy.
___________________________
Suzuki's POV.
Looking at Canton at first...you can say that yeah he's human for sure. Looking at him now. I don't know what to call him. Calling him a Prince is a bit too much. This is too surreal.
An air clan right in front of me and I didn't even know it. I can't believe it.
___________________________
Ujik's POV.
I grin at the Dragonheart Mulnire crouched over an unconscious Canton. I wanna laugh but don't want to give myself away. Dukem has passed out from shock. Suzuki is just staring at Canton in complete awe. Not saying a word. I grin wider.
I made a promise to my old friend that I would watch his kid as soon as he got to Enda. Canton almost died a few times but it's not my fault. He was with that evil basterd Kindermin.
Ollovis, my friend, we're getting out of this prison and going to you first. Whatever the water clan has planned for Urial will be found out later on. After he's met you and his beautiful mother. And finally realized what he was meant to do.

So what do you guys think is going on here? Has Ujik been watching Canton ever since he got to Enda? Why has he been watching? Well let's adventure in further, shall we?

Sanguine
The Coles are probably the definition of a small dysfunctional family, even if they weren’t the worst in existence; they would probably be lauded as an example of the term. The Coles were a small family though. The father, Oliver Cole, was an asshole ex-football jock who bounced around in small paying jobs after wasting most of his life drinking, drugging and whoring. The daughter, Stacy Cole, was smart, but had many issues including anger, trouble with authority, and occasional suicidal thoughts, and was kicked out of many a school for disruptive behaviour. The son, Mike Cole, was innocent, and tried his best to be kind to anyone and everyone, however his own speech impediment, and slow nature only aided people to bully and belittle him, including his own father. The Coles were indeed a dysfunctional family. At least they were, until they got to the small town near the border between the United States and Canada, Sanguine. Welcome to Sanguine. You will stay. With the exception of the first chapter, each chapter only follows one character. The first chapter is the only chapter in which I will include 'Sides' where it follows a different character. This is a short Lovecraftian story, it won't go above seventeen chapters. Note: the book cover is my first attempt, it might not even remain like it is, I was just tired of seeing the standard 'no cover' thing on it.
