《JAHS/ELEY》Chapter 13: Oop

"Maybe the reason you have problems with that little bitch, is because you never listened to me when I told you to leave him when you had the chance. Now look at you.." I say resting an ice pack on Jahseh's head, him wincing at the pressure.
He said he fell, but I know falling don't get you a black eye, busted lip and a titty on your forehead. That's what we're knot finna do. Lie to your bestfriend.
Turns out he was jumped in revenge for beating up one of Thug's goons, Shayaa. I always warned Jah about Thug and that he's not a good guy and some of that behavior and problems will rub off on him. He didn't listen of course.
He stayed with him. For a long time. He told me that he got fed up of Thug and his friends and just left. But I know that's not it, he didn't just stroll out the door. It's been his 3rd encounter with Thug's goons this whole week and I was seriously getting worried.
"Yeah, I know, I'm sorry Miles..." He says sighing and laying back on the couch.
"You need to be careful."
"I NEED to find a way to stop Jefferey for sending his hoes to try to kill me." He says. I roll my eyes and cross my arms.
"How you gonna do that when they already beat your ass?"
He says nothing and just continue icing his head. I sigh and wall over to the front door to leave.
"I'm gonna head out. Call me if you need anything and DON'T go out. Get some rest, Jah."
"Okay, mom." I say rolling my eyes.
"Jahseh..." He says in a warming tone.
"Okay, okay. I won't go anywhere I swear."
He gives me a sympathetic smile then leaves.
My life's been spiraling these few months and I really don't know what to do with myself. I moved to get away from drama and chaos and live a somewhat normal life but no. I have to suffer. God I know you don't like me but why you gotta make my life shitty?

I hear a knock at the door and roll my eyes, thinking it's Miles.
"It's open." I say.
"Actually it's not." I hear Stokeley's voices and my head shoots up. I get up and quickly open the door, squinting from the light.
I'm gonna be gay again bro, Stokeley is making my dick jump. He looking good as hell today and I suggested he not wear a durag one day and he did that, letting his dreads fall.
"Miles told me what happened and I thought I would you know.. stay with you for a little bit" he says walking in past me. I close the door and roll my eyes. "He told everyone, huh?" I mutter.
Stokeley turns to me and examines my face, putting his thumb over my lip and looking at my busted lower lips. Whew, I want to bust.
"Who did this to you?" He says seriously while tilting my head, I hissed at the pain of how he gripped and he pulled away instantly.
"Shit, my bad."
"It's Ight" I say going to the couch and getting on my phone. "No it's not fine." He says. I'm not paying attention though. I got a text from a number earlier and I was curious as to who it was,
Nigga what?
Oh fuck no. Fuck. No.
"That stupid bitch!"' I yell turning off my phone.
"What's wrong?" Stokeley asks turning to me. I forgot he was even here.
Jahseh has been fixed in his phone for the past 30 minutes, aggressively typing and groaning in anger at times.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"Just..problems..exes and shit." He says scratching his head in nervousness.
"Who is she?" I ask curious.
He chuckles and goes back into his phone. "It's dumb. You wouldn't care." He says. I roll my eyes and and shake my head. Nigga let me fucking help yo ass. That..fat, round, sculptured ass..wait pause.

"If I didn't care, I wouldn't ask." I say. He looks at me and gives me a shrug and a grin.
"In high school, after I left and shit, I dated someone. That someone was abusive physically and verbally..they um..they had started a prostitution and trafficking ring." He says taking a deep breath. I listened wide eyes.
What kind of women did Jahseh date?
"They..taught me how to smoke weed and how to make heroin..how to drug someone properly all that 'good' shit. They came in groups and shit and I basically had to look out for them in case they were ever caught. But they uh..made me do a lot of things. I lived with them and I seen things that I never would want to see." He explains playing with his fingers. I was actually thinking about calling the cops and doing something about it. Who would ever do anything like that to anyone?
"What did she make you do?"
He chuckled softly and sniffled a little bit. "It wasn't a girl."
Soon as he said that there was a knock on the door. Jahseh got up to open it and it was of course. Jared, Omar, Gazzy, and the Devil.
"WHO IS READY TO TURN THE FUCK UP?" Gazzy yells while walking into the apartment and everyone following behind him. "We're going out tonight?" Jahseh asks.
"Yeah we ar- nigga what the fuck happened to you?" Jared asks. Gazzy hisses while looking at his face. "What happened?"
"Just a little scuffle." He says simply.
"A scuffle my ass, you was fighting the Incredible Hulk or something."
Symere blurts.
"Damn I didn't record that shit." Jared says sitting down near me. "You always recording shit." I say playfully pushing him. "Get something on, Jah, we gotta get lit to tonight." Symere suggests
"Miles said that he shouldn't go anywhere tonight, plus he has a titty on his face." I say, everyone laughing. He rolls his eyes and comes to sit on the couch again. "What Stokeley said. I can't tonight." He agrees. "What about you, Stoke?" Symere asks.
I would really want to go out since I've just been working at the bar and would like to let loose and get drinks instead of make them. But I didn't want to leave Jah here alone, especially if I had a choice.
"Imma pass tonight, guys." I say. Symere sucks his teeth, "You always pass on going out. This nigga getting old. It's like you don't like bitches, Stoke." He says everyone including Jahseh laughing. I rolled my eyes and didn't answer. "We gonna head out though." Jared says getting up from the couch dapping up me, hugging Jahseh and everyone else doing the same and leaving.
"You sure you don't want to go?" Jahseh asks in what sounded like a guilty tone. "I'm sure, vro." I say, he laughs. "What?" I ask confused. "VrO." He mocks. I roll my eyes and chuckle. But I can't help but think about the story he told me earlier. The trafficking thing and the drugs and the prostitution thing. And him saying that it wasn't a girl he was with?
So if I connect the dots correctly, Jahseh is gay.
Well I would've never guessed.
