"What the fuck?"
You sighed as your bestfriend looked at you with wide eyes and an ajar mouth.
"The girlie's that crazy that she left her soulmate for your soulmates. Now, why would she do that?" Haru asked while you shrugged.
"Because she loves them?"
"Love? As if. The girl is fucking obsessed if she left her soulmate for that. Woah... Have you told the boys yet? About Nam.. uh Mingyu's side of the story?"
You let out a sigh. "I haven't, and I will not. It's not my story to tell. Mingyu will have to do that..."
"Why don't you tell the boys your side of the story, huh?" You asked.
"No can do... at least not yet. Your soulmates are probably angry, especially knowing that I've suddenly returned," Mingyu chuckled. "To be honest, I'm afraid..."
"Of? What're you afraid of?"
"What they'll say. Whether the guys will believe me or not. Those kinds of things... What kind of person would believe a story of someone moving far away because his soulmate asked him to? Because he wanted his soulmate to be happy even if it meant she'd be happy without him..."
You couldn't help but feel saddened when you noticed the sad smile on Mingyu's face.
You had no right to be picking sides, but from what you've experienced with Lia...
Hell, you hadn't even heard her side of the story... well, from her. You got bits of it via your boyfriends, but you wanted to hear the entire thing.
As of now, Mingyu's story felt more believable.
"Well, when you decide to talk to the guys about it... I'll be right there to support you."
"Damn, this is a whole movie series, babe. I wish to be in your position, but at the same time, I don't," Haru muttered.

"Anyway, let's speak of more happy things! Have you finally said I love you to all your soulmates? If you have, then will you and Jimin decide to get dirty in the sheets?"
"Haru, oh my God! I haven't said I love you to Hoseok yet. I need to tell him soon, though... I don't want him to wait any longer. I think I'll have to go to their place and tell him tonight." You told him.
"Awe, once you do that, you'll be able to move in with the boys and finally lose your virginity!" Haru cheered, causing you to groan. "Why are you so obsessed with me and my virginity? Should've flipping kept yours or something."
"It's because you're going to have your first time with your soulmate like... seven times! Sure Jimin will be your actual first... but you get what I mean." He told you, wiggling his eyebrows.
"I need a new friend for real," you muttered. "You can, but good luck getting rid of me, babe."
.
"Alright, great work today, guys!" You said, taking off your protective glasses. "With the pace, we're moving at... I think we'll be able to piece everything together by the end of this next week."
"Yes! Building sculptures is so cool. I never thought I'd have this much fun doing it." Sora said, taking off her gloves.
"Sorry for leaving like that, y/n." Jayden apologised. "No, don't worry about it. If something was wrong with any of my soulmates, I would've rushed to their aid. How's Kea doing, by the way?"
"Better than yesterday but still under the weather," Jayden told you, and you hummed in response. "Is she at school or...?"
"Oh, no. Kea's resting at home. I would've stayed with her, but I had an assessment to hand in and a sculpture to help finish."

"Jayden! If you had told me earlier, I would've let you go to the girl. Since we're done for today, go. Go take care of your soulmate," you told him, causing him to smile.
"Really?" He asked, and you nodded. "I was hoping we could all get something to eat, but it's okay. I'll go with these two."
"I'll join and pay next time. Thank you, y/n!" Jayden flashed you a smile before he grabbed his things and left.
"So, where are we going to go?" Sora asked as she began to pack. "The same cafe I took you guys to. It's the closest to school. I would've gone somewhere else, but I have a class."
"That's okay! By the way, it'll be my treat! You bought us drinks last time," Sora said. "Sora... you don't have to. Despite Nam-kyu being a bit older than me, I'm your senior."
"Well, our dear senior, allow me to treat you! Let me put these away. I'll meet you guys at the entrance!" Sora sang before she walked away with the book in her arms.
"She's so enthusiastic, and I love it," you chuckled before turning to Mingyu. "Let's go?"
"Ah, do your friends know? Know about Lia and stuff?" You asked as the two of you began to make your way out of the hall. "Yes and no. I told Sora and Jayden she rejected me but didn't tell them the entire story."
"Did you tell any of your soulmates about my side of the story? Did you tell any of them you spoke to me about it?" Mingyu asked.
"Nope. It's not my place or story to tell. By the way, the guys said Lia wanted my number. She wants me to do something like talk to you, I guess... at least that's what they told me," you told him.
"Did you give her your number?" You shook your head. "Nope. I refused."
"Oh..." he muttered. "Yeah... I don't want her spamming my phone with texts and calls."
"Do you want to talk to her again...?" You asked when you noticed the sad expression beginning to form on Mingyu's face.
"Of course I do. I was and probably still am head over heels for that girl. I mean, I couldn't see myself with anyone but her. It really hurt when she told me she suddenly didn't feel the same... when Lia told me she wanted to be with her best friend and his soulmates instead."
Mingyu let out a sigh. "I was young and so in love that I did what she asked and disappeared. I allowed her to use the excuse I left her for another because I knew it would make her happy. I didn't care if it made it look like the bad guy. I... Despite all of this... I miss her."
It wasn't the brightest thing to do, but people would do anything to make their soulmates happy. Even if it would hurt them.
"Oh, and when I saw her again not too long ago... I panicked." He chuckled. "I didn't know what to do or say so I ran..."
"Do you regret it? Moving to Africa... and cutting almost everybody off so Lia's story could be more believable?" You asked.
Mingyu looked at you and smiled. "No. I would do it again... As long as Lia's satisfied, I'm happy. Even if it means she's happy without me."
"Oh, Mingyu.." you muttered while he shrugged.
"There you two are. Let's go get food~" Sora sang, skipping ahead of you two.
"Hey, wait for us!"

Cateline Bennett, a princess consumed with ice, found herself lost in a foreign kingdom with nothing but her wits to survive. As she explores this unknown land, she unravels her past and discovers that the magic she had concealed for so long could unleash chaos so intense, it could destroy the world as she knew it. NOTE: A review on this fiction has indicated that certain themes were traumatizing. While I believe this to be exagerated, I have added the appropriate tag for those who may be sensitive to those themes (fever dreams, delusions, and trials and tribulations).

Art of Mortality
New Synopsis after chapter 56: Long long ago, there was a mortal who despised the gods and envied the immortals. Why do the mortals have to die when the gods wish them to? Why do worlds have to perish when the gods say so? Why do only immortals get to live forever, why not mortals like him? As his family, friends, and his loved one died, he lamented. He wailed, he cried. He cursed the immortals, blasphemed the gods, spat at the heavens. But he was just a mere mortal. His curses were pointless, his blasphemous words were useless, and his spits only returned back to fall on his face. At last, he thought, enough was enough, he would definitely do something about it. He decided that it was time for the multiverse to know what a mortal can do. He was the first mortal to cultivate. Eventually, after a long struggle, he killed the Immortals, enslaved the Gods, and shattered the heavens. He reshaped the multiverse and rewrote his fate. In the end, he reincarnated as he decided upon a grand scheme, a scheme to rule 'All and Always'. He came up with the concept of what is known today as 'Paragon'. And with this, all of reality, 'All and Always', was finally reforming, according to a Mortal's Wish. Synopsis (Old): In the vast and complex multiverse, what can a mortal accomplish? In the grand scheme of things, what can a mortal change? In truth, what is a mortal, and what is mortality? Being mortal is being ordinary, the same as being trash, or so says The World. "No, mortality is an art, and a true mortal is a grand artist. Being the root of all, a mortal can become anything.", says a young mortal boy. Meet Edward Alexander, a mortal boy walking the path against gods and immortals, fighting to the end to rewrite his destiny, and change the grand scheme of things. Can he really change the grand scheme of things? Or maybe he himself is the Grand Schemer? To know the answer, follow Edward Alexnder on his journey to demonstrate the Art of Mortality.*******
