I've been laying in this room for god knows how long now unable to sleep for several reasons. First of all these chains on my wrists and ankles are anything but comfortable and second of all I know there's a whack a doodle lurking some where around this house.

The door opens for the first time since Mr.Edwards left and Lacey walks in with a tray of food.

" Mr.Edwards instructed me to give you this I will stay here while you eat but if you try to run I will have to inject you. "

She tells me holding up a needle probably full of something that will knock me out cold. She unchains my wrist and sits the tray on my lap. It's bacon, eggs, and sausage. Not the typical meal I would think that a person who's been kidnapped would get.

" Why didn't he bring it to me? "

I ask curiously.

" He's at work. "

My eyes widen at a spark of hope.

" Lacey we can escape! He's gone! "

She starts shaking her head furiously.

" No it will never work he's smarter then you think we tried! "

She tells me.

" Lacey come on unchain me! "

" Lilly it's impossible, escaping is impossible even when you escape the house you have no where to go and then when he finds you he makes it worse because he punishes you. "

She tells me fear evident on her face. I can clearly see her and Whitney have tried this. Speaking of Whitney.

" Where's Whitney? "

I ask. Lacey swallows nervously and looks at the ground.

" She's in the basement. I only tried escaping once and he punished me so I didn't try again but Whitney doesn't give up as easily she's tried to escape every time she got. In fact she's probably trying right now but it's no use I'm just surprised he hasn't killed her. "

" What does he do to punish you? "

I ask slowly but she doesn't respond she just looks at the floor.

" Please Lacey I want to know because I'm preparing myself for it. "

She looks in pain as she weighs her options but then she finally tells me.

" The more the wrong you do the more extreme the punishment. "

She explains.

" I escaped once and I was gone for about a week, you would think I would be happy which for the most part I was but I had nothing to eat or drink and it was so hot that I got dehydrated with in a day. He knew exactly where I was he just wanted to leave me there for a while, then he got me and beat me. "

As she's telling this I can see she's starring off in space like she's reliving this story.

" What about Whitney? What's he done to her? "

" He hates her the most because she always talks back to him and calls him names. "

Yep that's Whitney. Even when she's kidnaped and held hostage she still can't keep her mouth shut.

" He's beat me but that's nothing compared to what he's done to Whitney, when he beats me it's painful but he hits fast but when he hurts Whitney it's torture he makes sure to make it slow and painful. "

" This is all my fault. "

I whisper tears rolling down my cheeks.

" You two are here because he wants me. "

" You're right. "

I look up to see Whitney in the door way.
