《Changing The Course of Fate》Chapter 66.5 - Bliss

The cold winds inside the forest of the second mountain seeped through the windows of the house located at the top of the biggest tree.
Ciaran stirred in his sleep as he groaned and moved around the comfortable bed that was covered with a fresh-smelling scent.
'Did they change the scent used to wash the sheets again?' He thought lightheadedly while he rolled around.
"Hmmm..." a voice spoke beside him and Ciaran immediately opened his eyes.
He quickly shifted into a sitting position as his eyes roamed around the room.
'What is-' However, before he could complete his thought, his hand flinched when it came in contact with something very soft.
His eyes directed to his side and there he saw a very breathtaking scenario.
Laid on the bed was the person whom he had told many things last night.
The person who had snow-like hair, pale skin, and a face that could only be seen on paintings drawn by famous illustrators right out from the imaginations of their deepest desires quietly slept.
Ciaran stopped moving.
He felt his chest race and his mind fog at the ethereal sight.
The young master took small breaths as his head was slightly tilted in Ciaran's direction. His mouth was partly open and the rosy lips did not fail to present themselves in an alluring manner.
The dark background of the trees right outside the window behind the young master's frame made his appearance even more astounding as his porcelain skin and his unpigmented hair contrasted well with the color.
The green-eyed man's breath hitched.
He had seen many vampires who were considered to be at the epitome of beauty and he had seen many people who are comparable to a fairy's allure.
Yet the person sleeping in front of him surpassed his standards.
The young master was the first person whom Ciaran was ashamed to talk to because of the said reason.
There was a constant aura around the young master that made people both extremely attracted and intimidated unto him.
Ciaran was one of those individuals.
Sometimes his self-esteem gets low when he sees Pier's face but most of the time, he could not help but stare at the young master's appearance.
He felt like he was a speck of dust lurking on the unreachable corners of the room while Pier was a shining gem enclosed in a glass case not to be touched by anyone.
He was starting to think that he should be the most grateful person alive for even being able to talk with Pier.
He reached out his hand.
The rough and calloused skin came in contact with Pier's cheeks.

'Smooth,' It was very smooth.
There was no hint of blemish. In fact, Ciaran would even sometimes see Pier's skin glow under the sun or when the moonlight encloses itself around the young master's body.
He started to caress Pier's cheeks as he lay again on the warm bed facing Pier.
Ciaran's large and warm hands made the young master comfortable as he changed his position while still sleeping and was now fully facing the green-eyed man.
Pier's thick eyebrows and long lashes fully displayed themselves in front of Ciaran and the man was unable to help himself but take a deep breath.
He had no clue what it was.
Did he desire the young master?
Did he somehow catch romantic feelings with Pier?
'I do not know,' He thought as he closed the distance between them and hugged Pier.
Pier's body became even warmer when it came in contact with Ciaran's large build.
He snuggled more into Ciaran's strong and well-defined chest and the green-eyed man slipped his other hand under Pier's shoulders.
He pulled Pier further in him as his muscular arms wrapped around Pier's body.
"You're so beautiful," He spoke as his lips touched the young master's hair, and his nose once more smelled the sweet scent coming out of Pier's body.
The sweet scent of calming flower petals mixed with the mild refreshing scent of fruits found their way towards the older man's body and Ciaran exhaled in satisfaction.
He closed his eyes as he started to drift into sleep again.
----
'Warm' Pier thought as he snuggled further into the source of warmth that was in front of him. There was heavy pressure on his body but he liked it because the thing was also giving him warmth.
He was able to smell the scent he loved the most again.
'Ah, it's just like Ciaran,' He thought as he remembered the man who brought him out of the kingdom.
'I don't want to open my eyes but I think I'm already late... not that I have any appointments,' He snickered at his own ideas and his body lightly shook at the laughter.
The warm and heavy pressure that was around him suddenly tightened which caused him to open his eyes immediately.
"Ha- oh..." He spoke with his morning voice when he saw Ciaran's face in front of him.
He kept quiet as he watched the man's sleeping face.
Ciaran looked at ease while he was sleeping. His face was calm and his breaths were stable.
Pier remembered how Ciaran was acting as if he was in heat while they climbed. It was very different from the man's state right now.

Pier examined Ciaran's appearance
"You're really handsome, aren't you?" He whispered as he freed his hand from the man's tight embrace and he pinched Ciaran's nose lightly.
The older man's eyebrows furrowed and Pier chuckled at the expression.
His hand then found its way towards Ciaran's smooth brown hair and he stroked it like he did before he slept the evening before.
The disturbed expression on Ciaran's face immediately disappeared and was replaced with a contented and satisfied one.
"I never knew you were the type to sleep late," Pier spoke to the sleeping man.
He knew it was already late because he would always sleep late and considering he was energized after sleeping, that meant he had his eyes closed and his thoughts on dreamland for many hours.
But Ciaran was still sleeping in front of him.
Ciaran's well-built body radiated warmth throughout Pier's smaller frame. His large hands were wrapped around Pier's waist and the young master could only laugh at Ciaran's antics.
Ciaran was still young.
He was too young to be the chief of a group of vampires who had nowhere to go.
He even lacked the education about himself and that made Pier pity the man.
He was slightly surprised with how clingy Ciaran was that evening but he did not mind, he wanted to comfort the man who had many things hidden and buried in his mind.
"Ah, you're a royalty vampire too, now that I thought about it," He spoke as he recalled Ciaran's words of his mother being a vampire royalty in their kingdom before.
"That means you're a prince? Wow," He was amazed by the turnout of things he had in his head.
If Ciaran was the son of royalty from their kingdom and he was the last one from the lineage, that means he was automatically the prince of vampires and he would be the next leader of the clan his father once led.
"So much responsibility for a person like you," He spoke as he stopped running his hands through Ciaran's hair and instead caressed his cheeks.
Pier rarely gives compliments about someone being handsome because he had set the standards from himself.
It was pretty narcissistic of him but everyone would not be able to deny it that if they have the same appearance as him, it would also become their own standards of beauty.
and Ciaran was definitely of the people that had caught his eyes.
Starting from the face, the man had a strong and well-defined jawline.
He also had thick eyebrows that Pier was slightly jealous of because of how formed it was.
His eyes were that of slightly the sleepy kind. The vibrant and candid green eyes added to the straightforward aura Ciaran had around him.
His brown unruly hair which compared to the mild chocolate mountains were easy to comb.
His broad shoulders and his astounding tall figure were so attractive to look at that Pier was starting to wonder how Ciaran handles himself when people try to approach him.
The scar on his eye added more to the manly look Ciaran gave. It did not make anything ugly but it instead increased Ciaran's level of appearance to another level.
"Hmmm..." He hummed as he continued to softly graze his palm on Ciaran's cheeks.
The older man groaned as he pulled Pier closer in his sleep.
Surprised, Pier flinched but soon relaxed.
There was no space left between their chests and Pier was being hugged like a stuffed toy by the handsome man in front of him.
"Should I start calling you Prince Ciaran?" He asked as he lightly chuckled.
"No," the low voice answered him and Pier stopped laughing.
Ciaran's already low voice was even huskier now that he had just woken up.
"Why not? You're a prince you know?"
"I... it's just weird hearing that"
"Mhm, should I address you formally starting now, your highness?"
Ciaran sported a manly grin as he found the title very foreign but at the same time, it was comforting as it came out of the young master's lips.
"Please don't"
"Mhm, should I instead call you Leader Ciaran?"
Ciaran chuckled loudly at the statement.
"Why are you laughing? It is true, you are a leader and a prince"
"Mhm, I may be but again, it's very weird and no one else uses that anyway," He spoke and his baritone voice sent shivers down Pier's back.
"Your voice is very nice, chief," Pier spoke as he placed his pointer finger in Ciaran's nose.
The man scrunched his nose at the ticklish feeling but did not even bother removing it.
"Thanks. Yours too," He complimented back. It was indeed true. Ciaran found Pier's voice to be very calming and charming.
They both kept quiet right after.
Ciaran enjoyed the proximity while Pier was busy playing with his straight nose.
"Good morning by the way," He greeted Pier after a few minutes and Pier nodded his head.
"Good morning too, Prince Ciaran."
