Aleksios P.O.V:
"Go away!" I hair Davina yell me awake from my slumber and I speed to her room.
I grab the intruder by its neck and speed it to the wall with my hybrid eyes and fangs out and I let out a deadly growl.
I finally come to my senses when a small hand is put on my shoulder.
"Aleksios, let him go." Davina's voice says and I immediately calm down at her touch. My eyes widen when I see the person I am pinning against the wall is Marcel.
"Marcel?" I ask confused and I let him go.
"What the hell, love?" I ask confused.
"I don't want him here." She says and I look over to Marcel to see his face fall and I sigh.
"Come on. You got to be starving. You haven't eaten since-" Marcel says and my eyes widen. She hasn't been eating? How did I not notice this?
"Since my best friend was killed by messagner witch from a bunch of a looney witches that wants me dead?" She asks and I wince at her bitter tone.
"Davina, I'm sorry about what happened to this kid Tim." Marcel says but that only seems to anger her.
"Okay!" I say loudly intervening before she kills him on accident. "You heard the lady, leave." I order in my no-nonsense voice and he reluctantly nods.
He leaves and just then Davina begins vomiting up dirt all over her bed.
"Davina!" I yell in a panic speeding to next to her. I smell Marcel re-entering the room.
"Davina, Davina!" Marcel yells, in a panic too.
"What's with all the racket?" I hear my twin and I look up to see him stop in his tracks when he sees Davina still throwing up soil. "Bloody hell." Is what he says and speeds back down stairs.
She stops vomiting but sways on her feet and I immediately move closer to her and wrap an arm around her.

"Love?" I ask carefully and she nods and pulls away and stands on her own.
"I'm fine." She says weakly. I just eye her skeptically but I nod all the same.
Suddenly, the house begins to shake violently, as though it's an earthquake. I look to Davina with wide eyes and she looks afraid.
I step forward and wrap her in my arms. The shaking immediately stops and she calms down. I pull back when something wet hits my shoulder and I see silent tears roll down her cheeks.
"Oh, love." I say and I wrap her in a hug again. I rub my hand up and down her back and the other one keeps her steady.
"I-i'm s-sorry. I-I d-di-dn't mea-n to-o." She sobs, gripping my pyjamas shirt like my other shirt last night. I pull away and look her in the eyes.
"Hey, hey. I know it's not your fault. It will be fine. We'll figure it out." I tell her while rubbing up and down her arms and she nods.
"You lay down while I go and get dressed and fix you something to eat. How does that sound?" I ask her gently and she lies down.
"Sounds great." She whispers and closes her eyes.
I leave the room and do everything with my vampire speed, wanting to return to Davina as soon as possible.
I just walk into the room when I hear my eldest brother arrive with Sophie Deveraux. I help Davina sit up and I hand her, her food.
"You gonna be alrighy, love? I need to go." I tell her and she nods. I can't leave her by herself.
"DIEGO!" I yell out and said vampire appears in the door way.
"Yes?" He asks me confused and slightly afraid.
"I want you to watch over her while I'm gone. Keep her safe, understand?" I ask him a deadly tone and he nods frantically.
"Good." I tell him sternly. "She is very special to me, so if something happens to her, I'm coming for you first." I threaten and he just nods frantically again and I start to walk out of the room.

"Where are you going?" I hear her ask me and I look over my shoulder with a grin.
"To kick some witch ass." I say nonchalantly with a shrugg and she giggles. I smile warmly and I speed out of the room down to where they are.
"So you have stolen the remains of the very person that Davina's been drawing for months. Would you care to explain this startling coincidence?" I hear my eldest brother ask.
"I can't. I didn't even know who Celeste Dubois was until I-" I hear her say and I groan when I hear Celeste's name at the same time the house starts to shake violently, like the earthquake from earlier. Davina.
I speed back up to the room when I see the afraid faces of Davina and Diego. I speed towards Davina and I envelope her into my arms. The shaking immediately stops and Davina sighs in relief.
"Thank you." I hear her say.
"No problem, love." I say rubbing up and down her back while I nuzzled my face in the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent and calming myself.
"I need to go again." I say after a while and I pull away.
Looking alarmed she starts to deny my claim: "No, please don't. You help me keep control." She pleads but I shake my head.
"I need to find a way to fix what's wrong." I tell her and she reluctantly nods.
I speed downstairs only to hear Sophie Deveraux utter the dumbest words ever:
"Oh. We have a huge problem. I thought that we had more time, but we need to complete the Harvest now." She says panicked.
Letting out a deadly growl I speed into the room where they are and I slam Sohpie against a wall, my hand around her throat.
"SOPHIE DEVERAUX, I AM IN NO MOOD FOR GAMES. TELL ME HOW TO HELP HER OR I WILL KILL YOU!" I snarled at her in rage and fury.
"Lex! Let her go!" I hear Elijah yell but I only growl in response.
"Lexie, let her go. If not for me then for her. For Davina." My twin says and at the mention of her name I come to my senses and I let her go.
"We can't help her. The harvest has to be completed." Sophie says and my desire to kill her grows.
"Said the desperate witch, conveniently." My blue eyed twin brother says.
"I'm serious! That earthquake you just felt is a preview of the disaster movie that is about to hit us." Sophie said frantically, eyeing me with fear.
"Why should we believe you?" My eldest living sibling asked and I nod.
"What he said." I say angrily, pointing to Elijah.
"You've met Davina, you know her story. For months now, she's been holding all the power of the three girls sacrificed in the Harvest ritual. A force that was meant to flow through her and back into the earth. One person was never meant to hold that much power. It's tearing her apart, and it will take us down with it." Sophie says and I grow worried as she says this.
Tearing her apart? I see where she's coming from and I hate to admit this but Sohpie's right. One person isn't ment to hold so much power. I know because Kol and I studied this, about how much power a witch can hold and how much power a witch can channel.
I see everyone looking at me cautiously and I glare.
"Don't look at me, I'll never agree to hurt her. Nevermind killing her." I snarl at them and I speed away, out of the compound.

The Power of Ten: Book One: Sama Rantha, and Book Two: The Far Future
(Author's Note: If you're wondering about the views, it's +1.8 million more on Webnovel, its original home. Updated daily starting Dec. 26, 2018, and continued with Book Three.) Some time ago, a planes-traveling archmage made up a video game to train some people on the planet Earth for the catastrophe he knew was coming. That game was the Power of Ten. The gods seized this opportunity to take the templates of some of those characters, and even their souls, for use in other worlds, and other realms. Sama Rantha is one of those characters, and is going to find out that being a Hagchild and having to survive after your Hag Curse fails to murder you at birth is much, much less fun than setting it as your Race at level One on a gamescreen. Join Sama Rantha on her Road to Ten, and letting her Hagmother know exactly what she thinks of her... ------ Warning: This book starts with a HARD OPEN! It was written as an extension of other stories that have not made it onto the Internet yet for National Novel Writing Month in Nov/2018. Book One/Sama Rantha: A traditionalist LitRPG in the fantasy world vein. The beginning chapters will be heavy with gaming terms and the supporting math as Sama exploits the rules as much as possible, minmaxing her heart out to get one up on the world trying to kill her. The math and rules lawyering tapers off, but are never eliminated, as Sama is going to do everything she can to exploit the rules of reality here and not die, while making sure those responsible for this get exactly what is coming to them... ------ Book Two, The Far Future (starting Ch. 286): The Warp, the final frontier; in the grim darkness of a galaxy far far away, there came a hagchild...QX! Sci-fi/Fantasy/psionics mashup, grimbright clashing with grimdark! Sama is sent into a setting she'd rather not be in, but the heart of a powergamer never says no, even in the crapsack galaxy of the Tellurian Empire. BOOK TWO IS COMPLETE WITH 357 CHAPTERS AS OF 9/2020. ----------- Book Three (updating daily): The Human Race (next Book!) - Urban Fantasy world. Three Power of Ten gamers come together in a world under the Shroud of the Cancer of Death. Whatever might happen when they do, and what might they find there? Book Three is complete with 500 chapters: right here. Book Four: Power of Ten is dumped into the Marvel Universe. Surely there'll be no changes to canon when that happens? A Fanfiction variant, with teeth! Dynamo The Original Sama Stories: Being posted at: over in this location. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Discord link: in zis location is always up if I'm online.
