《HER LOVE • davina claire》60 | MAKING A CHOICE

Davina P.O.V:
I entered the compound with panic and adrenaline running through my veins, looking for Aleksios. Cami called me and told me that she found Aleksios with a stake in her heart but the second she tried to go near her, she was blocked by an invisible force and thrown away. A boundary spell. Her one weakness besides the white oak stake.
"Over here!" I heard my blonde friend shout to me and I turn to her and my heart broke for the second time in one day as I looked at my temporarily deceased girlfriend in horror. Tears brimmed my eyes and I quickly walked over there but the same barrier threw me away and the tears fell freely from my eyes. I muttered a spell, using all of my power but it still didn't work. The ancestors must be helping who ever cast the spell.
"NO!" I yelled furiously, white hot anger now running through my veins as I banged against the barrier, my entire body shocked with pain as I did so but that didn't compare to the pain I was feeling to see her like that. Again. Arms wrapped around me and pulled me from the barrier but I didn't take my eyes of her, to scared that she might disappear.
"D, calm down." Marcel told me softly and weakly and I threw him away from me with my magic, turning away from Aleksios.
"She is dead, Marcel. Dead. This all started because I helped you. And now she's dead. ." I spat, my heart breaking as I did so and tears still running down my cheeks.
"I'm sorry about that, D. And I'm sorry about this. But she'll heal and she'll wake up. So just calm down. Okay?" He tried to sooth me but it didn't work. I wiped my cheeks, glancing at my girlfriend before looking at Marcel again.
"You don't get it? Do you?" I asked him, my voice tone now gentler and he looked confused before shaking his head, 'no'. "Seeing her like that, lying there dead...it hurts me. It hurts me so bad that it hurts to breath, to think. It feels like I'm being ripped apart on the inside. Standing here, and I was given the choice, I'd destroy the world to help her."
"Davina-" He started.
"Don't. Okay? You don't know what I'm feeling. How I'm hurting. So just, don't." I swallowed thickly before looking at him with eyes full of emotion. "We are done. I love you, Marcel, I do. But not enough that I'm willing to loose her. I won't risk it." I turned around, not giving him a chance to reply and walked towards the barrier, careful not to touch it again and slid down to my knees, tears filling my eyes once again as I looked at her.
"I love you, Aleksios Mikaelson. Please wake up." I begged but it didn't work, tears still falling.
Then the strangest thing happened. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew through the compound, throwing us all back. I scrambled to my feet, looking for Aleksios and her body was moved and the stake was gone. My eyes widened and I cautiously took a step forward and a weight lifted of my chest when I wasn't stopped and I sprinted to her. I pulled out the stake and took her body into my arms. Cradling it protectively.
"D, I need her blood." Marcel told me in a pleading tone and I threw him a glare.
"You can still hold out until she wakes up. Try to take her from me, and I'll give you a migraine that will last a century." I threatened seriously and he took a step back from me. I pulled her closer, until there was no space between us. Relief flooded my body as I once again realised that she was in my arms and would soon wake up. I placed a loving kiss on her forehead and smiled slightly. I brushed my fingers through her dirty blonde locks that she shared with Klaus, much to my displeasure but I love the feeling of her hair. Even if it is sticky and full of blood. Just like she is. Her entire body is full of dried or damp blood. It's not hard to guess that she is responsible for more than half of these deaths.

But I don't care. I just want her to wake up so that I can tell her how sorry I am, how much I love her and that I can fix things between us.

Klaus P.O.V:
"She's gone." I said numbly, looking at Hayley's dead body. I looked at Elijah, who starts to cry and I start to cry as well. I didn't know what to do. My baby has been taken and I didn't know where to start looking for her. "You've been bitten. Here." I told Elijah, noticing his silence and I bit into my wrist and proceeded to hold it out to him. He looked at me, stunned by my display of kindness. If Lexie was here, she would have rolled her eyes at him.
That's when my eyes widened and I realized that my twin was not with Elijah, "Where's Lexie?" I asked, no, demanded from Elijah. The sadness on his face grew and my stomach dropped.
"She's been taken down. There is a stake in her heart and a barrier spell around her that I couldn't get through." He explains to me and I roared out in anger, my Hybrid face growing. I gently removed Hayley from my lap and sat her on the ground as I started pacing.
"I need to see her. I need to know that she is safe. That someone is safe." I informed Elijah before speeding of to the compound. Arriving there, my eyes widened at the sight. Cami, Joshua and Marcel was all together, the two vampires slowly dying. But what caught my attention was the witch, sitting in the middle of the compound with my twin on her lap. Davina was holding her body to hers in a protective manner. I heard Elijah arrive behind me.
"Lexie." I breathed out, making heads snap to me but I didn't care and I sped over to my twin. I kneeled in front of Davina and reached out to touch her, but I stopped when Davina glared at me. I held my hands up in defence. "I'm not going to take her from you, I just want to see her." She looked at me wearily but eventually loosened her grip on my twin so that I could see her. I was both happy and hurt at the sight. Hurt that my twin is dead but happy that she has someone that loves her as much as Davina does. Even if she is a witch.
"Take care of her?" I asked the witch, even though it was unnessicary.
"Until my last breath." She promised and I stood up to try and find my daughter now that I know my twin will be fine. At the last second I turned back,
"Do you have any idea where they might have taken my daughter?" I asked her, my tone was pleading and vulnerable. Something I was only ever around Lexie. Davina sighed heavily, glanced at Lexie before looking at me again, "Deep in the Cemetery. But be careful, Klaus. They will be stronger than ever before." She warns and I give her a thankful nod. I sped to Josh, bit into my wrist and fed him blood.
"I'll heal you when Lexie is awake and agrees." I tell Marcel before speeding of to the Cemetery with Elijah.

Aleksios P.O.V:
I woke up with a gasp, in a pair of overly familiar pair of arms. A fuzzy warmth fills me as sparks shoots through my body and butterflies filled my stomach as I locked eyes with a pair of brown eyes that I would never forget. A pair of chocolate brown eyes, currently filled with worry but relief starts to fill them as we looked into each other's eyes.

My throat burns and my gaze zeroes in on Davina's neck. I close my eyes and I sped out of her hold. I get up and open my eyes to see her looking at me with hurt in her eyes and my own pair of eyes softened. "I'm thirsty." I explained and her eyes widened and realisation filled her eyes. I held out my hands to hers and she took it.
I pulled her up, her body flush against mine and we stared into each other's eyes, but I quickly let her go. Afraid that I'd hurt her in my weakened state. So, I sped to the kitchen and cleaned out all of the blood bags that was there and sped back to the courtyard. I see very weak Marcel and my Love looking at me expectantly. Josh and Cami must have left.
"Where is my family?" I asked Davina, looking into her eyes as I did so. She opened her mouth and started explaining everything that happened while I was out and to say I was pissed, was the understatement of the century.
"I have to go and help them." I said sternly and got ready to leave the compound.
"So you are just going to go there and what? Kill them all?" Marcel asked and I spun to him.
"That's the plan." I told him, nodding my head in agreement to his question.
"That's a stupid plan." Marcel commented and I shot him a glare.
"Want me to give you another bite?" I asked the much younger vampire and he shook his head, 'no' and adverted his gaze to the roof, looking at God only knows what.
"You need a better plan, babe." Davina told me and I turned my head to her. I looked at her, I didn't say anything, I just looked at her as I controlled the urge to speed over to her, take her to my room and make her moan my name like the previous night. Her calling me 'babe', drives me a whole new level of crazy.
"What do you suggest?" I ask her, raising my eyebrows and clenching and unclenching my fists to control myself.
***
"You know what to do?" I asked Marcel, who I had promised my blood if this plan works. We are currently standing in front of the Cemetery. He nods and we speed into the place.
Arriving at our destination, I see Genevieve continuing a spell, and from what I can tell, it is a pain inflicting spell. The witches have yet to notice me and Marcel. Just as Monique is about to sacrifice the baby, my family, I speed over to her and snap her neck like one would a twig. Her body falls to the ground and Marcel speeds to me.
"If something happens to her, Niklaus will be the least of your never ending problems." I threaten him and Marcel vamp-speeds away with my niece. I turn to Genevieve, a murderous look on my face and I was about to speed towards her when a voice stopped me.
"Lexie, don't." My twin said and I reluctantly backed off and made my way to him. I hugged him tightly. I nodded when I saw his questioning gaze, immediately knowing what his question is. Will Marcel keep her safe?
After some debate with Elijah and Hayley, we sped off to the compound so that Nik can meet his daughter and honestly, I couldn't wait to meet my niece. Nik and I entered the compound to find all of the bitten vampires dead and strewn across the courtyard. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. They shouldn't have died yet. I adverted my gaze and saw Marcel holding the baby in his arms as he sits by the fountain, waiting for us.
"I was too late. There should have been more time." Marcel tells him and I stayed quiet as I kept my eyes on my twin. He looked around the room and takes in the carnage that surrounds us.
"Looks like the wolves came back and finished what they started." He states, glancing at me before looking at Marcel again.
"I had a hand in it to." I commented to my twin brother just as the baby stirs and coos, and Marcel stares down at her and I follow his gaze. I smiled as I looked at my niece. In that moment, just like with all of my other siblings, I vowed to myself to protect her. Always and Forever.
"You took my daughter so I would heal you and your friends." Nik guesses incorrectly, his words directed at the younger vampire that was busy dying of his Hybrid bite.
"No, he took her because I made a deal with him. He gets her out of there safely and I'll heal him and his friends. He agreed." I corrected my twin and he glanced at me in surprise and I nodded with a smile.
Nik just laughs and shrugs before holding out his wrist to Marcel. "Here." He said and I smiled but that smiled turned into a frown when Marcel pulls away from him.
"This bite, all this..." He started and looks over at Diego's dead body as well as the rest of the dead vampires bodies. "I know it didn't come from nowhere. This is the last note in a song that I started a century ago when I brought your dad to town. And for that, I am sorry." I look at him with sympathy and I exhaled shakily. I didn't know what to say. Less than twenty-four hours ago we were going to kill him.
Nik kneels in front of him, "No. You saved my child's life, Marcel. For that, you deserve this." He holds out his wrist, and Marcel bites into it and drinks his blood.
"We will take down whoever brought this upon us, I swear it." Nik vowed and Marcel looks up at him in shock, finally healing. My blonde brother looks at his daughter in awe and relief.
"May I?" He asked his adopted son, Marcel hands him the baby, and Nik takes her. "Shhhh. Oh! Hey! Hey there." The baby looks over at Marcel, and he smiles from joy and we laugh together. And right here in this moment, right in the middle of the war, everything was perfect.
"I want you to meet someone." He tells her. "She is my very best friend in the whole world, the most important person in my life besides you, my twin sister and your aunty Lexie." Nik whispers to the baby and walks over to me. I look down to her and I smiled at her.
"Hi Baby Mikaeson." I whispered to the small bundle in my twin's arms. I looked up into his smiling face and then to Marcel's. I was so sure that I wanted Marcel dead and that I'm going to break my promise to Davina. He betrayed me. My twin. My family. But he also saved us from heartbreaking pain tonight. He saved baby Mikaelson. So, maybe he is still our family. Maybe he deserves a second chance. And maybe, just maybe, there is still hope for all of us.

Okay, I'll say it, I cried writing this.
I think I owe you an explanation, if it was unclear, it was Genevieve that locked her in the boundary spell and one of the Guerrera's staked her. I know it makes her seem weak but she just saw her brother get bit and was so rage filled that she just focused on Francesca.
So, there you go. I hope that clears up any confusoon and that you enjoyed the chapter.

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."

Ghostified City
‘Ghostified City’ is a post-dystopian sci-fi tale, set in a fading world that might be a future version of ours, running out on autopilot into oblivion. Adaman Yimmand is a simple robofactory operator in The City who's working with robots and machines every day. He doesn’t even realise that he might not have met another actual human being in years. Everything begins when he breaks his routine for once and enters a bar where he meets Evelith. This pesky other person does not let him go after he has had his -rather terrible- beer, because according to her actual humans are much rarer than he’s aware of. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction. Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)
