《Mated to a Bad Boy》Chapter 20: Guilty

When I awoke I was in room I didn't recognize. The walls were all old wood. A cabin perhaps? I quickly bolt up and place my fingers on my neck where the taser was.
"What the hell?" I look down and my hands are red with blood. Upon further inspection around the room I find my clothes strewn about and all covered in blood and a lot of it. The whole room smelt of blood. "No, no this is not happening."
I look over and run to the door and to my surprise is was unlocked. Without a moment of thought, I bolt, till the nauseating scent of blood was gone and I catch the familiar scent of my pack. Summoning all my strength I run into the territory and almost make it to the house when I feel myself knocked to the ground and snarling jaws seize my neck as I look up at a pair of glaring eyes.
"What is the meaning of this? I'm your Luna!"
"No Luna of mine, murder." The wolf snarls through the link.
"I'm not a mur-" I try to protest.
"SILENCE!!" The wolf's voice roared out as his grip around my neck tightened. "You reek of blood."
I'm swiftly brought to a cell and thrown like an animal and the door slammed behind me.
"Please, get my mate. I'm telling you I'm innocent." I plead, grabbing the bars only to feel the bars burn into my skin.
"Silver, you won't be getting out and the alpha will be in for you shortly."
After that they leave and I am once again put in darkness. The person left the door unlocked for a reason. They let my live for a reason. They wanted me to be blamed. They wanted to leave undeniable evidence that I'm the one responsible. But Hunter is my last hope. He must have felt the taser through our bond. He'll know I'm innocent.
As promised I hear Hunter come in and I run over to the bars but a loud growl from Jasper stops me in my tracks. "Step back."
"Hunter, you know it's not me. I would never. never!" I say through sobs.
"I don't know what to think anymore. We tracked your scent all the way to the old rouge house and found all of your clothes soaked with the blood of all the victims. I wish I could say it wasn't you this time but I can't ignore the evidence before me. So I'm begging you, tell us where Lilac is? Tell me where I can find my sister?" I could hear the pain in Hunter's voice and how torn he is.

"Lilac is gone? What about Aiden, or Amber?"
"Aiden is in the hospital with a skull fracture and barley breathing and Amber left when she couldn't find you or Lilac and found Aiden behind the bar with sever trauma to his head."
"Hunter, listen to me. I was attacked in the the bathroom with a taser. You should have felt it. Whoever jumped me must have been seen by Aiden and Lilac and they must have came to try to save me. That's probably when Aiden was struck in the head and lilac taken. Who ever did it is framing me!"
"ENOUGH!" Jasper growled. "Lilac has a taser, she was taught to use it in her defense. It was found at the scene and with your finger prints on it. I swear, if anything comes to my mate I will personally rip your throat out."
I'm taken aback by Jasper's harsh words. "You were there when the rock came through the window. How could I have possible done that if I was standing right next to you?"
"You're beginning to piss me off! I know about your brother. He is your accomplice. He'd even have a motive to help kill Autumn. All the pieces fit. You wanted to eliminate all of your competition since your mate was a womanizer and you wanted to be the only girl in his life. You even wanted to eventually kill Hunter to take complete control over the pack since you are only the scrawny runt of the family and could never be alpha there. So you and your brother have been conspiring against the pack. You poisoned yourself with just the right amount of rat poison to start this whole charade."
"Roxie, please. Tell me where my sister is." Hunter pleads.
But all I could respond was "I don't know."
With a sigh Hunter turns to Jasper. "Get the serum."
"Are you mad, if we inject her with that you'll be on the floor writhing in pain as well?!" Jasper snarls.
"As the alpha of the pack I will have to endure the pain till Lilac is found. I'll leave her to you." Hunter leaves the room with a look of pain like I had never seen before. His sister is missing, his beta fighting for his life, and his mate suspected of in all.
"Hunter....?" I murmurs weakly, my tears streaming down my face. All the times I cried because of him were nothing compared to this. Him turning on me like I was nothing to him again. Him no longer trusting me. It's all more than I can bare.

I see Jasper approach me with restraints. "We could do this the easy way or the hard way."
In resignation, I sit in the chair and he straps me in place. He then brings in a medical tray, placing a band around my arm. Once a suitable vein was located he picked up the needle and drove it into my arm and pushes the plunger, sending the burning mixture through my body. My body begins to shake violently as what feels like a firey inferno runs through my veins at lightning speed. I can feel my heart pulsing wildly as if it would burst from my chest. I howl in agonizing pain. "It hurts!!!"
"Where is Lilac?"
"I told you, I don't know."
"If you tell me where she is I can give you the reversal serum and the pain will go away."
"I can't tell you because I don't know." By now my legs and arms are cramping up and I feel myself having a hard time breathing and the searing pain stings my lungs.
"Hunter please. I'm innocent." I try reaching him through the link but he block me. I'm truly alone in this. Not even my wolf is with me, as if all my ties with her have been severed
Jasper then takes out a scalpel and places it against my arm and glides it down. I'm forced to watch in horror as the cut grows in length and refuses to heal. "Silver dust and water, very strong stuff. It can stunt the healing process of a werewolf and cause excruciating pain."
Blood now runs from the wound and drips onto the floor as he pulls out a silver-tipped whip. Then with a crack the whip slices throw my clothes and flesh. Then again. Blood runs down my face and chest. With one final strike I can no longer take it and I shout through blinding tears. "Stop! I'll tell you where she is! I'll tell...."
"I'm waiting." He cracks the whip next to me.
"She's......" I run through my memories, trying to think of a place, anywhere so the pain would stop, but all that flew through my mind was my childhood hideaway. "She's under a tree stump, about three miles east."
"I'll be back for you if you are lying. And once she is found, dead or alive, you will be executed."
With that, he leaves. Leaving me strapped into the chair and left with the liquid- agony still running through my veins. I wish I had never come here. I wish I had never meet Hunter. I wish I- wish I had never fallen in love with him. I should have ran away with my wolf when I had the chance. Then- only then- would this not be happening to me. All of this could have been prevented then.
"Pssst." Some tries to grab my attention but I just keep my head down, my soul broken.
"Roxie, I'm going to get you out." When I finally look up I see Bentley opening the door and undoing the straps.
I laugh, my pain numbed by my broken heart. "Careful, you don't want to be caught helping a convicted killer. Now go be happy with your mate Chloe."
"Enough, I know you are not the one doing this. You're too honest of a person. I'll help you find who is really behind this and clear your name-"
"No! I'm done with this place. I'm done with the pack. I'm done with Hunter. I just want to leave. I don't care if I'm alone the rest of my life. It's better than being here, where I'm viewed as a criminal. Even if I'm proven innocent, some will still view me as guilty. They'll think I was only found innocent because of my mate and finding a scapegoat."
"If that is what you wish then I will help you cross the border." He pricks me with the reversal.
"No. I'll leave on my own. If you are caught with me, you will get in trouble too and Chloe needs you to be with her.
With the contact between me and my wolf restored, I shift. Running through the territory I outrun the guards and dart into the cooling water of the river where I know my scent will disappear. I then follow the stream till the scent of the pack became mixed with that of rouges. From here on in I no longer belong to a pack. I'm a rouge, a loner, a disgrace to my bloodline. But it's better then the torture or being executed for something I didn't do.
Curling up under a small rock overhang I look up at the moon. "Moon Goddess, I beg you to take back the bond. It has caused me nothing but grief. It's too late for me to reject the bond but you can still take it away. Only you can free me from these shackles and chains." I then close my eyes and sob myself to sleep hoping she would hear my last prayer.
