We get to the hospital and they bring me to a room and lay me down.
Some doctors start talking about contractions to Juliet and doctor Ryan runs in. She whistles and puts her thumb up behind her.
"Out, tell doctor Hill to come up, it's only me and her in here for this." She tells the two doctors and they nod and run out.
"Alrighty Spencer, how long have you been getting your contractions?" She asks putting on gloves and my heart starts beating even quicker.
"About a half an hour." I say and shrug not sure.
"How often at they happening?"
"I'm not sure, I've gotten a few. Maybe every ten minutes."
"Oh right, things are moving pretty quickly. How intense are they?"
"I don't know? I feel tight." I say and squeeze Juliet's hand.
"Okayyyyy. Spencer do you want me to get you a pillow you can squeeze?" Juliet asks and I quickly shake my head.
"Do not fucking leave Juliet." I say and she nods.
"I think you better save a bed for me, I might need a new hand after this." Juliet says to doctor Ryan and she laughs.
"Okay I'm going to need to do a tiny test and set up the monitor." Doctor Ryan says as another doctor walks in with my mom.
"Mom thank god." I let out a breath.
"Baby time." My mom smiles.
"Your parents are in the waiting room already, our family will come later Spencer if that's okay?" My mom says and I nod, I get a really bad pain.
"Fuck!" I say and squeeze Juliet's hand.
"Spencer I'm going to need you to stand we need to get you changed." Doctor Ryan says and I stand up and have to let go of Juliet's hand and I change into a hospital gown.

I sit back onto the bed and Doctor Ryan put my legs up onto a...leg holder?
The other doctor comes over and they shine a light.
"What are they doing?" I whisper to Juliet still squeezing her hand.
"Their hooking you up to the fetal monitor." She says and I nod.
"Okay, now we wait." Doctor Ryan says and stands up.
"How long, I think I might die."
"You'll know when, don't worry it shouldn't be to long, maybe thirteen hours?" She says and I squeeze Juliet's hand and she lets out a squeak.
"What?" I say.
"It might be shorter or longer, right now I'm saying it will be shorter. You should get up and move around." She says.
"What?!"
"It will help move things along quicker by stay physically active."
I get up holding Juliet's hand and my back and stomach were both hurting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few hours later i was back in the bed because I could stand the pain anymore, it was becoming worse and worse.
Juliet I want her out. Get her out of me." I breath heavy, it was like period cramps but ten times worse.
"She'll be out soon love, you have to be patient." She says and I groan and drop my head back on the pillow.
"Juliet it is so hot in here, I feel like I'm suffocating." I say and she picks up a paper towel and dips it into her water cup and presses it on my head.
"I'll get someone to open the window, your mom should be back soon." She says and I nod.
"I can't wait to go home." I say and Juliet laughs and walks over to the bin putting the paper towel in.
"You have to have the baby first Spencer." She says and I nod.
"I know and I cannot wait to just have her and snuggle her and go home." I smile weakly.
"Are you okay?" She asks and I get a strong cramp and pressure in my lower abdomen. I wait and the pain doesn't go away.
"Spencer?" Juliet says and I squeeze my eyes shut.
"Baby! Baby's coming I think!" I say.
"Doctor Ryan!" Juliet shouts and I grab her hand. I open my eyes again and take deep breaths trying to breath.
Doctor Ryan runs and and another doctor behind her with my mom.
"Baby time?"
"Mmhmm." I nod bitting down on my lip really hard. Juliet lifts my chin.
"Spencer careful." She says and I squeeze my eyes shut.
"Okay Spencer are you ready to start pushing?" Doctor Ryan asks and I nod.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I give one last push and scream and I hear crying. I fall back exhausted and I feel sweat dripping down my forehead.
"I think I might die." I breath heavy and Juliet laughs and rubs my cheek. I wipe my face and my hair was soaking and I felt disgusting, I look down and see me and Juliet's baby.
"Here's your precious baby girl." Doctor Ryan smiles and hands me her. I hold her in the blanket.
"Oh my god." Juliet smiles and I do too.
"Hello princess." I smile and gently rub her cheek and she was so soft.
"Hold her Juliet." I look up and see Juliet tearing up and she wipes her eyes with her sleeve and carefully takes her.
"Look who's crying." I smile and Juliet rolls her eyes.
"Shut up I'm not." She says and sniffles and I smile. I watch smiling as Juliet looks down at her and more tears roll down her cheeks.
"She so small, I'm scared I might break her." She says and Doctor Ryan laughs.
"I've got so many adorable photos." My mom squeals.
"Mom I'm all sweaty and disgusting." I say.
"Can we take her now, you'll get her back in a jiffy we just need to check up on everything." Doctor Ryan says and Juliet nods and hands her carefully to Doctor Ryan.
"Can I shower?" I ask and another doctor nods.
"Your legs are very weak so we will have to get a wheelchair and the shower has a bench, a doctor can help you." The doctor says and I nod.

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?

Sarsaparilla's Scary Super Power. Completed
Sarsaparilla is an older teenage girl living on Mars. And, like many other young people around her, she has a super power. Or, rather, she is supposed to have a super power. Only she has never been able to activate it, she doesn’t even know what her super power is. This annoys her, tremendously. But she hides this behind a really sweet smile. Adalace is another teenage girl, also on Mars. She knows what her own super power is, and it is quite a good one. She is also really cute… so long has she keeps her feelings under control and doesn’t let out anything from her dark past. Teylon is a man, currently living on Earth. He likes to think of himself as still young, even if he is over fifty. He’s a bit smug about his successful career and is thinking of retiring… until a sadly unfortunate event leads him to the conclusion that he had better immigrate to Mars. Immediately. Apparently, meeting one’s own Angel of Death tends to cause people to make profound changes to their lives… Mars society had better brace itself, because once these three people, plus another three also not so quite stable individuals, collide with each other, the resulting explosion is not going to leave anyone on Mars unaffected. This is another Esmeralda, the Angel of Death, story. It follows on from my previous two such stories, but it is in no way dependent on the previous stories. They can be read in any order. It is fully written and proof read (using Word for Windows, no real editor touched this transcript) and comes to about 247,000 words (about 895 Royal Road pages). It is organized into 50 chapters and I will be publishing them roughly one per day. In my writing, there are multiple characters and multiple points of view. Each change in a point of view is introduced by a header, giving the viewpoint character’s name first, and possibly a title. Inside a Point of View section, dialog in italics represents the Point of View character’s thoughts, while dialog between quotes represent normal spoken dialog. This story is very much inspired by the anime A Certain Scientific Railgun. However I have only taken some elements from the anime, and changed everything I took to make my own story, and so it does not count as fanfiction. Yeah, I know, the book cover page isn’t very good. It’s the best I could do, by tracing over a stock image. The two ladies shown are supposed to be Adalace and Sarsaparilla. Ideally I would have liked there to be two images of this pair, one where they are smiling sweetly and looking cute, and one where they are looking really angry and dangerous. But that totally exceeds my graphics abilities. You will just have to imagine it.
