I open my eyes, feeling restless. Though Kathryn was sleeping soundlessly beside me, I found it very impossible to sleep. I glance over to the brunette, admiring how no matter what state she was in, she would always remain so beautiful. I shake my head and press my lips against her cheek before slipping out of bed.

I grab my sports bra and boy shorts and pull them on before exiting the room. I make my way to the kitchen. I jump slightly as I spot a dark figure on the couch. I quickly take notice that it was Duke. I roll my eyes at the blonde boy and continue my journey to the kitchen. I was hungry and thirsty.

Once inside the kitchen, I open the fridge, smiling at food staring back at me. My stomach growls and I nod my head as I pull out yogurt and grapes. I didn't want to eat anything too big, otherwise, I'd lose my figure. 

I search for a spoon when the floorboards creak behind me. I turn slowly, spotting the amazing sight of Kathryn in my button-down shirt. I raise a brow as my eyes creep all over her toned legs. "Did I wake you?" I question as she stops beside me. 

She shakes her head, "Not per se. I didn't feel you in bed" her groggy voice hits my eardrums. I smile and kiss her forehead before offering her some grapes. She gladly takes some and begins chewing on the juicy fruit. 

"I'm sorry your date got ruined. Guess I got a little carried away" I admit as I find a spoon. I open the yogurt container and close the fridge with my foot. Kathryn shrugs her shoulders, "I'm kind of happy I didn't have to go. Alexander isn't a bad person but I'm not comfortable being around someone who's interested in dating me."

I nod my head. I guess Mr. Rossen ruined that for her since he was so obsessive with her. I shake my head as I get a spoonful of yogurt and shove it into my mouth. I moan silently as I swallow the sweet snack. My stomach growls in satisfaction. I glance at my girlfriend, noticing her staring off into the distance as she ate grapes.

I dip my finger into the yogurt container and place it onto her cheek. She flinches from the coldness. "Really Case?" she questions with a smile. I nod my head as I lean into her and remove the yogurt with my tongue. 

Kathryn's eyes follow the movement of my tongue, her eyes clouded with lust. I bring my hand to her ass and squeeze playfully. The brunette smiles as she flicks a grape in my direction. It hits my forehead and she lets out a laugh. "Do you think that's funny?" I question. She nods her head. 

I grab a spoonful of yogurt and flick it at her. The yogurt lands on her forehead causing me to let out a loud laugh. The gel begins sliding down her face and her eyes land on me. She grabs a napkin and wipes her forehead. I move away from her in slight fear. What was she going to do?

I watch her finger curl. Involuntarily my feet glide over to the position I was in before. I stand timidly beside the brunette as I wait for her attack. She grabs the yogurt from my hands and digs her finger in. I shiver from the coolness when she places the yogurt on my neck and collarbone. I raise my brows in confusion. 

She steps in front of me and brings her lips to my neck. She licks the yogurt off and sucks on my skin. She continues until there's no longer any yogurt left. She glances up at me, eyes hooded with a mischievous glint. My eyes land on her lips, noticing a small glob of yogurt. I lean into the woman, capturing her sweet lips.

I groan as I stretch my limbs. "So glad you decided to wake up, I was supposed to be home and now my family is blowing my phone up" Kathryn speaks. I search the room for the brunette, finding her in my closet. She only had on her underwear, her breasts exposed for my eyesight. 

The woman bends over and picks something up from the floor before standing. I notice it to be her bra. She puts it on and clips the back, her brown eyes landing on me. She smiles before turning away from me and grabbing clothes from my closet. I sit up and rub my eyes. "Are you wearing my clothes?" I question.

She nods her head and turns to face me, "You don't mind do you?"

I shake my head as I force myself out of the bed. My eyes rake over her body, enjoying the sight of several hickies in several places. My favorite one resting on the back of her thigh. I move closer to the woman, wrapping my arms around her waist and resting my chin on her shoulder. "Do you have to go?" I complain.

She laughs and nods her head. "Today is Christmas. I'm sure my nana is there already since it's so late." I groan and kiss her neck. "Your birthday is tomorrow too. What are you going to do?" I question, remembering our eventful first date.

Kathryn smiles and glances at me. "I can't believe you remembered."

"I'd be a shitty girlfriend if I had forgotten. I remember you saying your birthday is always overlooked because of Christmas. Well, this year it won't be. We'll do whatever you want tomorrow if you don't already have plans."

Kathryn's smile widens. I remove myself from the beauty so she can dress. I do the same before we exit my room. I spot Cassandra, Jasmine, and Diana in the kitchen cooking. How cliche. And of course, Edwin and Duke are on the couch playing video games. I shake my head.

"I'll see you guys later" I announce. 

Cassandra turns to eye me. "I remember you saying you were going to be with Kathryn the first half of the day. Maybe afterwards she can join us."

I glance at Kathryn who blushes and nods her head. "I'll try to make it if my family isn't killing me about being bisexual." Cassandra nods her head. "Well, we would all love it if you could join us. So don't be shy."

Kathryn and I head out of the cabin. I can't help but smile at how welcoming my friends and sister were towards Kathryn.

"I regret agreeing to meet your family. I'm nervous. I'm shaking" I groan as Kathryn and I get out of the car. She laughs and holds her hand out for me to take. "It's fine. I might be more nervous than you. I'm not only going to announce you as my girlfriend, I'll be basically outting myself."

I shake my head, "How about we both just go back to the cabin. My sister and friends are better than having dinner here."

Kathryn laughs again and shakes her head. She pulls me closer before kissing my cheek. "I promised my brother I would introduce you. So you have to meet everyone."

I sigh and nod my head. We head into the house. I cringe slightly at the loudness around the house. There were kids running around and adults conversing with one another. I spot the man I remembered from the pictures Kathryn had before. I immediately pinpoint him as her brother. 

He approaches us with a wide smile. Before I can get any words out he pulls me into a hug. I freeze in his arms. His hearty deep laugh hits my ear, "It's so nice to meet you. I would say Kathryn talks about you but she doesn't. I'm a bit ashamed too, you are beautiful. I'm Josh."

I swallow the lump in my throat as he moves away. I try to get my words out but I'm way too nervous to. Kathryn squeezes my hand for encouragement. "C-Casey. Her... uh" I glance at Kathryn for help. She chuckles. "Josh this is my girlfriend Casey Kings. Case this is my second oldest brother Josh, we're practically twins."

I nod my head as I try to regulate my heart and breathing. "Come, join Sarah and I in the backyard." Kathryn nods her head and pulls me along with them towards the backyard. I was happy that everyone else was preoccupied with family members which made me invisible. 

We get to the backyard and I spot a pretty woman. Not as good-looking as Kathryn but close. I raise my brows and turn towards Kathryn, "Wasn't she the woman who walked in on us at the restaurant?" 

She laughs and nods her head, "The exact one. Uh, Sarah, this is my girlfriend Casey. Casey this is Josh's wife Sarah."

I wave shyly towards the woman who does the same. "So when am I going to be able to meet you guys' boyfriend? Or was this a setup to expose only me?" Kathryn questions besides me. Josh shakes his head, "Uh he said he'll be arriving a bit later. I promise he's coming."

"Oh, Kathryn you just missed my brother. He was really excited to meet you but he had a headache and went to go rest. Maybe I should go get him" Sarah says handing her cup to Josh. Kathryn raises her hands, "No, no, that's fine. Let him rest, he's going to need it come dinner time."

Kathryn pulls up a chair and pushes me to sit. She smiles warmly at me as she sits in my lap and wraps her arms around my neck. I kiss her cheek, forgetting we were in front of her family. "You guys are really cute together, how long have y'all been together?" Sarah questions as she pulls up a separate chair from Josh.

My eyes widen. The amount of time that Kathryn and I have been dating doesn't proceed over two months. But we've known each other for 4 months. "That's actually a complicated topic" I admit.

Kathryn glances the other way, silently agreeing. Josh chuckles, "Complicated how so?" he questions. How exactly do we tell him that I am her student? "It's just complicated" Kathryn sighs pinching the bridge of her nose. Josh drops the topic and we settle into a light conversation.

I rest my hand on Kathryn's thigh and press my lips to her neck as I hear Josh speak more about his job. Honestly, he had a pretty interesting job. He was a chemistry teacher. And unlike the teaching in Texas, they actually held experiments. "I guess being a teacher runs in the family" I chuckle. 

Kathy laughs and nods her head. "I guess we had the same idea."

Before we can move further into our conversation, we're all called into the house by a sweet old woman. Kathryn hops off my lap and pulls me up. I could see how nervous she was so I pull her into me and kiss her chin. "It'll be okay."

The brunette chuckles, "Just earlier you were just as nervous." 

I shrug my shoulders, "I guess meeting Josh and Sarah calmed me down a few notches. They were really welcoming." She smiles and looks over my face before exhaling. She leans into me, pressing her lips against my own and causing me to smile. We head into the home after Josh and Sarah.

Kathryn and I stand near the patio door as everyone in the house begins grabbing hands. What was going on? "It's a family tradition to pray over the food." I nod my head and grab Kathryn's hand. 

After someone prays everyone begins heading for the food. "So who are all these people?" I question the brunette beside me, getting her mind off of having to introduce me. She eyes me but goes into detail. "The woman over there on the phone, that's my Aunt Emilia. She's really nice if you don't get on her bad side. It's kind of obvious she's had a facelift but when anyone asks her about it she lies and says she's just 'born with a young face'." 

I laugh and shake my head. "And that man with the wannabe Elvis Presley hairstyle is her husband. We call him Eddrick. Weird name but don't question it. He's a huge Elvis fan, about halfway through dinner he'll start talking like him."

"That'll be fun. I've always wanted to see an Elvis impersonator. Oh, and it's free" I joke. 

Kathryn laughs and as always I'm roped in by her beautiful she is. I watch as she points towards someone. "That's..." she begins but her eyes travel to something else. Or someone else. I follow her line of sight before a familiar face comes into view. I choke on the air as his eyes search the room eventually landing on the two of us. 

He raises his brows and smirks. "What. The. Fuck. Is. He. Doing. Here?" Kathryn questions. "I can't get away from him. Casey this was such a bad idea" Kathryn was shaken up. I could tell that much by how frantic her voice was. I felt the same way but I knew she needed me to be strong. I clench my jaw as I glance back over to the man only to find him gone.

I furrow my brows. "Kathryn, there you are" Josh and Sarah made their way over. "Kathryn, Casey, meet my brother Rai. Rai this is Kathryn, Josh's sister and her girlfriend Casey."

My eyes widen as Mr. Rossen moves from behind them.
