《TMNT 2012 one shots》Splinter and sons

Yoshi let out a slow breath, his eyes closed, his hands in his lap. It was quiet, he could faintly hear some light traffic above him, occasionally some leaves on the small tree rustling. Peaceful-
He let's out a small sigh 'it was nice while it lasted' he hangs his head slightly, chaos going on in the room next to his
"Sensei!"
"Daddy!"
Two, childlike voice called for him, causing the rat to sigh once more, standing and trudging over to the sliding doors of his bedroom. His eyes widdened when he seen the destroyed mess that was once their living room. There were paint splatters every where, furniture was tossed around, toys were every where and broken. He tilted his head when he seen hand prints of paint on the ceiling
"How did you..?" He began to ask, then shook his head, slightly amazed, and slightly concerned. They really had been paying attention in their training..
His thoughts were interrupted by a small shriek; immediately he went over and picked up the youngest of his sons, who had paint all over his hands and feet, and some drawings in paint on his belly. The small four year old shook in his arms, his older brother yelling and running towards them, only to freeze noticing their father; Raphael. He too had paint on him, but it looked as if paint was dumped on him. He glances down at the shaking child; Michelangelo.
"I didn't start it!" The paint covered toddler yelled, crossing his arms
"Then who did?" Yoshi tried to keep calm, knowing it would take hours to clean them and the lair, and longer to find replacement toys. His attention drifted from the pouting child, to the cautious one who was slowly approaching; Leonardo. He had some paint splatters and hand prints on him, and he had a scrapped knee. Yoshi felt his eyes soften as Leo sniffled

"I-I try to stop them but they did'n' listen!" Cried the oldest, shaking as he approached their father. Yoshi let out a small sigh and kneeled down, adjusting Mikey to his other arm, opening his now free arm. Leo rushed over and buried his paint splattered, tear stained fsce into his father's robes. Next came the last; Donnatello, who was shaken up with some burns on him. He had dirt, paint and grease all over him self, he was fighting tears as he stood shaking
"I's all my fault! I'm surry!" Cried Donnie, which broke Yoshis heart. He opened his arms again, setting Mikey on his lap, while Leo hugged Yoshis side. Donnie practically ran over and crawled into his lap, hidding his face. Yoshi turned his stare to Raph, who lowered his head and came over, joining the hug. He held the four of them for several moments before he loosened the hug and looks down at them
"How did this happen?" He spoke quielty, yet firmly. At first it was quiet, then the youngest spoke
"I was painting and there was a Boom!-" he throws his arms up in the air, making an explosion sound
"Den there was yelling and noises and-and-" he was getting worked up again, so Yoshi quieted him and looked to the oldest, who was avoiding his gaze
"Leonardo." He didn't raise his voice, but he spoke firmly, causing his son to raise his head slightly
"What happened?" He repeated
"D-Donnie was playing with one of the..the thingies and Raph was playing with Mikeys toys next to him a-and someting esploded and broke the toys-" he pauses and shifts, glancing at his brothers for a moment before meeting his father's gaze again
"Mikey got mad it was broken and threw some paint s-so raph got mad a-and he started chasing him and they threw more paint a-and I tried to stop them but then I fell and got huuurt" at the end Leo started to sob, upset for so many reasons. Yoshi let's out a sigh and gently rocks all of them, hearing them all sniffling

"We can talk about this later, right now, you all need to get a bath" he felt Raph tense in his arms when he said this, so he stood with them in his arms before anyone could take off.
After their bath he tended to Leos knee, which just needed some cleaning and a bandaid, and Donnies hands and legs, that needed cleaning, cream/ ointment and large bandages. He made them all apologize to eachother and hug it out; which made Raph squirm and Mikey squeal; then tucked them into their large bed. They had separate rooms, but even though they disliked being near each other during the day, they couldn't sleep without being next to eachother. He pulled their multicolored blanket up on one side, then the other, pulling it up to their chins, then tucked in the edges. The blanket was something Yoshi made, it was cloth of their favorite colors sewn into a large blanket, it wasnt very well done, and was a bit of a mess, but they loved it anyways. He placed a kiss on each of their heads before saying goodnight
"B-but..the cleaning..?" Leo spoke quielty, peeking up from his part of the blanket with nervous eyes
"I will clean the paint, in the morning you four will all pick up the toys" he smiles some and nods to him, causing Leo to grin and bury his face into his astronaut teddy bear. Mikey was already asleep, holding his small brown bear, while Raph had a dragon because it was "cooler" and "not a baby toy", although Donnie, he had his favorite book, odd yes, but so was their existence.
He said his final goodnight to his sons before leaving the room and closing the door behind him, then let out a long, heavy sigh as he stared at the mess in front of him; it was going to be a long night.
