Change. Something that people constantly fear and secretly hope for. Sometimes change is good, changing your surroundings for the better. Your life doesn't get better by chance, but it gets better by change. Change can create new friendships and end past relationships, create new enemies and make new allies, it's all how you decide to go by it. But, remember not all positive change, feels positive in the beginning.
It's after school and I'm currently taking my daily stroll through the park. I walk over a bridge that rest over a small pond. No one ever really comes here, it's kind of like an escape place for me whenever I just need to think or getaway for awhile.
As I'm walking down the somewhat path I clumsily trip over a tree stump causing me to lose my balance. I squeeze my eyes shut waiting for the impact of the ground, but fortunately it never came. My eyes shoot open in shock only to meet those same familiar forest green eyes.
"Stefan" I say breathlessly from shock. I now realize his arms are wrapped tightly around my waist.
"We've gotta stop meeting like this" He chuckles breathlessly as well.
"Well it seems you catch me when I fall" I say sarcastically a grin beginning to grow on my face.
"I'd always catch you if you fell" Stefan states all amusement leaving his face as a genuine smile replaces his playful one. We stare into each other's eyes for a moment until I snap out of it.
I slowly unravel myself from his hold with a shy smile.
"Well Mr. Salvatore, I'm beginning to think we just had a little moment" I chuckle flatten out my skirt.
Stefan meets my eyes with an amused stare.
"Is that such a bad thing, Ms. Griffith?" I shrug backing away from him continuing down the path.
"I suppose not"
We spent the rest of the time walking and telling each other about ourselves. I can't even lie and say being around him for these past two days hasn't made me feel anything. Those green eyes stir up something I haven't allowed myself to feel in a while.
I'm getting ready to go meet Jac at the grill while searching for my phone, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I guess I'll just have to buy a new one, welp.
As I was walking down the stairs the doorbell sounds throughout the house followed by three loud knocks. If it's those damn Jehovah witnesses again I swear-
"Stefan?" I ask surprised he's standing at my front door since I just saw him literally 45 minutes ago.
"Um what are you doing here?" I ask not meaning to sound as rude as I did.

"Oh you um dropped this when you left, but you drove away before I could give it back to you" Stefan says awkwardly holding up my phone in his right hand.
"Oh my gosh, Thank you. I've been looking everywhere for this" I praise taking the phone from his outreached hand.
Stefan looked down to see me holding my keys and coat in my hand causing his eyebrows to scrunch together in confusion. Why is it so cute when he does that?
"Oh! I was heading out to meet my bestfriend Jac at the Grill. Do you wanna come with?" I ask trying to win him over with a smile. Stefan chuckles knowing he can't resist.
I mean of course he can't, I'm Samaria Griffith darling.
"Yeah, sure. Lead the way" He gestures stepping aside to let me walk first. I close the door behind me and lock it before leading him to my car.
"How did you get in here anyway, we live in a gated neighborhood?" I ask curiously as we both climbed into my G Wagon.
"I'm known to be quite, persuasive" Stefan smirks wiggly his eyebrows causing me to laugh.
"Yeah right" I dismissed still not knowing exactly how he got in.
I pull up to the grill before cutting the engine. Stefan and I get out of the car and walk toward the entrance of the building. As we walk in Stefan absentmindedly interlocked our fingers causing all attention in the Mystic Falls hotspot to go to us and our intertwined hands.
Little did she know, Stefan knew exactly what he was doing. But little did Stefan know, she had a game she wanted to play herself.
Hmm so Mr. Green Eyes wants to play mark the territory? I see, well he has another thing coming if he thinks he can just claim me. If he wants me he has to show me himself, and I know just the diabolical plan to do it.
I look straight ahead to see Matt making a bee line toward me and Stefan. Bingo!
"Hey, I'm Matt" He says purposely shaking the hand I was holding causing Stefan and I's hands to drop.
"Stefan" Stefan introduces vaguely pulling his lips into a thin line. Matt grinned sarcastically slightly narrowing his eyes at him.
"I'm glad to see Mara has a new friend" Matt says emphasizing on the "friend" part. I roll my eyes with a scowl pointed to Matt. This was all part of the plan, thank you Matt for your service.
"Yes! My new Friend, sure. Okay bye Matty, see you later" I rush out pulling Stefan away to the table where Jac, Bonnie, Caroline, and the brunette I shall not name.
I've never had a problem with Bonnie, we actually get along pretty well. And I tend to talk to Caroline sometimes, when I'm not putting her back in her place after she tries to diss me. I mean you would think after a couple years, she'd learn.

"Hey, Mars"
"Maria, what's up"
"Bestfriend!"
"......"
I was greeted when Stefan and I sat down.
"Hey girls" I gleam back with just as much energy.
"Girls, this is Stefan Salvatore. Stefan, this is Jac, Bonnie, Caroline, and Elena" I introduce. What is this boy doing to me, I even introduced that brunette bitch. They all greeted each other warmly, some a little bit more than others.
"So, you were born in Mystic Falls?" Caroline asks curiously leaning across the table.
"Mm Hmm. And moved when I was still young" Stefan finishes with a nod.
"Parents?" Bonnie questions next.
"My parents passed away" He says glancing down uncomfortably. I interlocked our fingers again for some kind of support. Stefan stares at me intently before we were interrupted by another question, and I'm not surprised who it can from.
"I'm sorry. Any siblings?" Elena consoles giving him a smile. Stefan nods before moving his gaze back to Maria who wasn't paying attention.
Everyone except her could see how much Stefan had taken a liking to the said Griffith girl, he would barely look at any else, but her. As much as they were trying to catch his eye, Samaria had his undivided and full attention, and she didn't even know it.
"None that I talk to, I live with my Uncle"
"So, Stefan. If you're new, then you don't know about the party tomorrow" Jac hinted while smirking at Samaria, trying to hook up her bestfriend.
"It's a back to school thing at the lake behind The Preakness Circle gated community" Bonnie explains going along with Jacs plan as she smirks smugly in Maria's direction. Samaria glares at her two friends. Stefan looked toward Maria.
"Are you going?" He asks hopeful she'll be there. Before Maria could even make out a word Jac spoke for her.
"Mar and I live in Preakness Circle, so she'll definitely be there" Maria's Latina Bestfriend says answering Stefan's question.
Maria just nods at Stefan with grin.
"The Battle of Willow Creek took place right at the end of the war in our very own Mystic Falls. How many casualties resulted in this battle? Ms. Bennett?" Tanner asks catching Bonnie off guard. Bonnie's eyes flash up from her notebook when she heard her name being called.
"Um...a lot? I'm not sure. Like a whole lot" Bonnie stuttered out innocently. I chuckled earning a slight glare from Bonnie.
"Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Ms. Bennett" He responds back smartly. I was about to say something when Bonnie held her hand up gesturing for me not to.
I roll my eyes before nodding in agreement.
"Mr. Donovan? Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your embedded jock stereotype?" Tanner moves his gaze toward Matt at the back of the class.
"It's okay, Mr. Tanner, I'm cool with it" Matt says with smirk causing the class to chuckle in amusement. Tanner nods before moving on to his next victim, Elena Gilbert.
"Hmm. Elena? Surely you can enlighten us about one of the town's most significantly historical events?" He quizzes clearly just wanting to pick on someone.
"I'm sorry, I-I don't know" Elena apologizes hoping he would move on. Only Tanner for some reason doesn't take no for an answer.
"I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena. But the personal excuses ended with summer break" Tanner spat disrespectfully. Okay, nope, it's time for me to shine.
"What the hell is wrong with you? Her parents died, cut her some slack" I spat venomously bringing the attention in the room to me.
"Ms. Griffith I suggest you stay out of it" Tanner says trying to brush me off.
"And I suggest you show some respect" I shot back.
"You speak when spoken to" Tanner continues.
"Well until your parents die, I suggest you not speak at all" I glare clearly not giving up anytime soon.
"I will not be disrespected in my classroom, leave" Tanner demanded, but got even angrier when he saw me still sitting in my seat.
"And I will not let you be disrespectful, I'm not leaving" I state unaffected by his anger.
"Both of you out, now!" He howls causing most to flinch from the volume. I squint my eyes challengingly as I lean forward in my seat.
"How bout you-" I was cut off by Elena.
"Maria, it's okay, I'll leave" She says gathering her things trying to resolve the problem. I shake my head.
"No, we'll both leave" I say also gathering my things. As we were about to leave I turn back to Tanner.
"You know about me Tanner, and you know what I'm capable of. I'm not one to be messed with." I snarl out all amusement leaving my face.
"So mess with any of the Gilbert's again, the job you now occupy will soon be vacant. I own you Tanner, and let's hope you don't forget it, because the next time you step out of line, I'll gladly remind you." I growl darkly as pure horror is shown on Tanner's face.
I grin at him with a sickeningly sweet smile.
"You have a good day now. Come on, Elena" I order strutting out of the classroom with my head held up.
To say Stefan was turned on was an understatement.

The year is 2040, technology has progressed on all fronts, but no field has shown as much growth as Virtual Reality. Aelios Online is the latest of innovations in the field, creating an entirely different world that its players may "dive" into. The world of Aelios itself is a world of both magic and technology, with the city of Retissia offering a more magical landscape compared to the more industrial streets of Gram. While the design of the world is impressive, the real draw of Aelios Online is its master AI, RIN. Quests, NPCs, the very shape of Aelios itself are all dictated by RINs response to player action and behavior, and over the course of the 5 years that Aelios Online has been active, the world has been changed in unimaginable ways. For every player action, there is a RIN reaction, and that has remained true throughout the game's entire runtime. There are many stories, many legends, that have been carved into the world of Aelios, but here we focus on two new players to the world. One aims to create in this new world, the other, to escape. The Elves watched for thousands upon thousands of turns as the war raged overhead. The Fell Ice against the Sun and the White Magic were locked in a struggle lasting for an age, with neither side claiming victory as the earth was ravaged. In time the Fell Ice retreated, as it had so many times in the past. This time, as the earth warmed around them, the Elves remained secluded from the world in their hidden Vales.
