Strangers can become best friends just as easy as best friends can become strangers

New Friends. The great thing about new friends is that they bring new energy to your soul. It's the friends we meet along life's road who help us appreciate the journey. People who defend your name when not around are the most loyal friends you could have. They treat you the way you know you should be treated. Friendship isn't about who you've known the longest, it's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you" and proved it. And suddenly you just know it's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.
Stefan and I are just walking around the school campus just talking to each other. Though we are in fact together, there's still a lot we want to find out about one another.
"What's your favorite color?" Stefan asks out of the blue. I turn to look at him while holding his hand.
"Mauve or Lilac for purple, and Monza for red" I answer with a nod. Stefan chuckles.
"What?" I smile at the huge grin on his face.
"Nothing, it's just I love how specific you are with everything" Stefan admits while gazing into my eyes. I look down as my cheeks flush.
"Well, thank you, what's your favorite color?"
"Green with hints of gray" My face goes darker when I realize what he's talking about.
"I hate you" I grumble with a pout. Stefan leans down and kisses my pouty lips which then turn to a grin. He smirks.
"No you don't"
Tyler throws a football to Matt.
"Look, there's Maria and her new boyfriend" Tyler points out causing Matt to look behind him and shrug.
"Now what are they doing? Oh, they're walking, walking, walking. Yep, right into the sunset" Tyler grits out.
"Yeah while you're just standing there looking like a gnome" Matt smirks catching the ball from Tyler again. Tyler rolls his eyes.
"You're a dick sometimes, you know that?" Tyler snaps. Matt holds his hands up in mock surrender.
"Hey, it's not my fault you still have the same crush on her from 6th grade" Matt says obnoxiously loud causing Tyler to throw the ball at him exceptionally hard.
"I so do not, I don't know what you're talking about" Tyler denies defensively while crossing his arms.
"Sure" Matt agrees sarcastically.
Samaria stops walking causing Stefan to do the same.
"I have a brilliant idea" She gushes.

"What?" Stefan furrows his eyebrows.
"I should have a dinner party thing. I could invite my friends, you could invite whom ever and then you guys could get to know one another" Maria exclaims excitedly, Stefan chuckles with a shake of his head.
"Whatever you want" He kisses her on the cheek.
"Even if you're theory was remotely true, what am I even suppose to do?" Tyler exclaims in frustration. Matt shrugs as he catches Tyler's throw.
"I don't know, man. I mean she's not exactly on the market anymore, she made her choice" Matt tells him before throwing the ball back to him. Tyler looks at the ball with a mischievous grin.
"Maybe, I could show her she made the wrong one" Tyler steps back.
"Ty, No!" Matt shouts just as Tyler thrusts the ball into Stefan and Maria's direction.
Just as it was about to hit him, he flashes around and catches it. But, if you thought that was it, he looks between Tyler and the ball before throwing it to Tyler, and as he caught it the wind was knocked out of him at the powerful throw.
Everyone who saw was amazed and in shock, all except the girl standing behind him. Maria looks to Stefan with narrowed eyes.
"You didn't tell me you played football" I say curiously. Stefan scratches the back of his neck, which I've picked up to be a sign of nervousness.
"I don't, at least not anymore" He answers hesitantly. I nod remaining quiet. I look up at him.
"I'll see you tonight at 6, okay?" I tell him as he nods in confusion.
"Are you okay?" He places his hand on my shoulder. I shrug him off and flash him a fake smile.
"Just peachy"
In Tanner's class, he got his ass handed to him courtesy of Stefan Salvatore who was looking at me with puppy dogs eyes the entire time. Don't get me wrong they usually work, but it's just ever since this morning with the whole Tyler football thing, I've been a bit suspicious.
I mean for the past week, people have been found dead with their bodies drained of blood, mysteriously right after two new brothers show up in town. Doesn't that just scream suspicious, I mean Mystic Falls never gets new people. The last new people here was about 6 years ago when Tiare and I moved here.
Just something doesn't seem right.
The bell for lunch rang signaling all students to leave their current classes. As soon as it rung Maria was off, Stefan tried to follow her. But, when he realized she was already gone he sighed in defeat. He was about to walk the other way when a voice stopped him.

"Hey, Stefan" Elena Gilbert greeted as she passed by.
"Hey, Elena" Stefan mumbled looking defeated. Elena tilted her head in confusion.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"Well, I think Maria is on to me about something" He explained.
"Oh, well that does happen sometimes. What did you say?" Elena questions. Stefan sigh heavily.
"It's not really about what I said, it's about what I didn't say" Stefan exclaims whilst throwing his arms in the air. Elena furrows her eyebrows.
"I don't follow" She says.
"I think she knows I'm keeping something from her" He finally explains when a look of realization flashes across Elena's face.
"Oh, well that's the problem right there. If she thinks you're keeping something from her and you are, it's only going to make her think that you don't trust her, you know?" Elena tells him finishing off with a shrug. Stefan nods taking in all the advice he was just given.
"I think I know what to do" He nods in agreement with his statement.
"Well, that's great. You have fun with that" She smiles with a pat on the back before he rushes off down the hallway.
"Thanks, see you later!" He shouts over his shoulder. Elena chuckles while shaking her head.
"He is totally in love with her"
"Hello girls" I greet Bonnie and Elena as I walk towards them on the field. I turn to Elena.
"Great to see you this year, Ms. Gilbert" I grin proudly, she smiles back just as wide.
"Glad to be here, cap" She salutes playfully causing the three of us to giggle.
"So you're both coming to my dinner party, right?" I ask both of them with raised eyebrows. Elena nods while Bonnie looks away awkwardly causing Elena to pinch her arm.
"I don't know, I don't think I can make it" Bonnie tells me. I squint my eyes while crossing my arms and Bonnie caves.
"Okay, okay fine. It's just...I got some very bad vibes from Stefan when I touched him and I just don't wanna see one of my best friends get hurt" Bonnie admits with genuine concern, my eyes instantly soften.
"Bonnie, that's nothing you should be afraid to tell me. You're my friend and if you say you're feeling weird vibes from my new boyfriend, then I'll take it into consideration" I spoke placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. Bonnie smiles in relief that I didn't just tell her off.
"Good, now that that's solved, have either of you seen Caroline she's late and I'm going to start without her" I ask the two of them.
If you hadn't guessed yet, I'm the captain of the cheerleading team while Caroline is the co-captain. I know, I know basic Queen Bee move of being the cheer captain, but whatever.
"No, but I think I just found her" Elena says pointing behind me. I turn around to see a blue Camaro pull onto the field gaining people's attention.
Caroline hops out of the car, but not before giving the driver a kiss, a driver who happened to be none other than Damon Salvatore, My favorite Demon.
"I got the other brother, hope you don't mind" She taunts as she walks past me. I smirk in amusement. Oh, Honey.
I make my way over to the car and lean over the passenger side.
"Demon, what are you doing here?" I asks causing him to snap his head in my direction only causing that playful smirk to return.
"Well, Ms. Aria I just came to see the cheerleaders practice. But, now I'm starting think I made the right decision" He teases with a wink. I playfully roll my eyes with a laugh.
"Hey, I'm having a dinner party tonight, wanna come?" I ask with a smirk of my own.
"I don't think dear brother of mine will like that very much" Damon informs me. I shrug.
"Then I guess you're just going to have to been on your best behavior, Demon" I cross my arms.
"I don't think demons can play nice, Aria" He chuckles with a raised eyebrow.
"I think you can manage" I narrow my eyes challengingly and walk off before he can reply.
"See you later, Demon!" I shout over my shoulder.
"Bye, Aria" He replies before I hear him drive away. As I walk back over to the girls, all of their jaws were dropped, especially Caroline's.
I told you Caroline and I get along well...when I don't have to put her back in her place.
"Sorry about that girls, but let's start with double pike herkeys"

The Writer
Frustrated with his limits, the young writer Seven accepts an offer from a supernatural entity, traveling to its world whilst given the chance to live past his regrets. Humans, though, are creatures that don't easily change, and his warped views of reality turn him into an unpredictable ally or foe in the game of death that is to follow. For the sake of translating his new experiences into a written masterpiece, he will spare nothing, not even his own life - so long as the work is complete. *** Romance tag was previously there, but it starts quite late in the story and I've yet to reach that part. I know how it will happen (more precisely, how I want it to happen), but currently, there are just subtle nuances that can only be left to the reader's very expansive imagination, and I wouldn't call that romance but a
