Without struggle there is no progress
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Makeover. A makeover isn't always about makeup, clothes, and changing your style. It's about working on a new you. It's willing to see things differently. Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself, and what's more beautiful than being you. Don't feel guilty doing what is right for you, let go of the struggle and give in to the ease. Be stronger than your excuses. Confidence has no competition, so take the risk or lose the chance. Because self confidence is the best outfit, so rock it the way you know you can.
I was still on the field packing up my cheer stuff since I just ended practice. I look around and make sure I have everything before slugging my cheer bag over my shoulder. I turn around only to stop when Elena appears in front of me.
"Hey, Elena" I smile only for it to turn upside down from her expression. I furrow my eyebrows in concern.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I ask dropping my bag before placing my hands on her shoulders. She looks up at me nervously.
"I saw...something and I don't know exactly what it was, but I thought I should tell you" Elena breathes shakily. I nod for her to go on.
"During break I walked over to the football field as per usual and saw Tyler tackle Stefan, but when Stefan sat up his finger was broken. I was about to go help him when he snaps it back in place and it heals as if was never broken. Now I don't know what I saw or what I think I saw, b-but..." She trails off. I glare down at the ground.
Of course he's a vampire, I was right. Which makes Damon a vampire also. I look back to Elena and my glare softens when I see her fearful expression.
"Look, I'll explain later, okay? I promise you have nothing to be afraid of, I'll handle it" I reassure with a tight grin. She nods with heavy sigh.
"Just be careful, please" Elena pleads quietly. I nod before rushing to my car and speeding off to the Salvatore Boarding house.
Stefan walks into his bedroom to see Damon reading his diary.
"How were tryouts? Did you make the team? Very Emerson, the way you reveal your soul with so many...adjectives" Damon teases while still reading from the journal. Stefan rolls his eyes.
"What are you doing here?" Stefan asks blankly.

"I've come to-" Damon was cut off from the sound of Stefan's bedroom door slamming shut. The brothers look to see me standing there with a fuming expression.
"You two, bed, now" I order while stalking towards them. They willingly make their way to sit on Stefan's bed while I continue to pace back and forth.
"I can't believe this, I can't believe I didn't see this sooner" I mumble to myself in disbelief.
Damon leans over to Stefan.
"Dude, what's wrong with your girlfriend?" Damon whispers quietly, but not quiet enough. My head snaps in his direction with a glare.
"You want to know what's wrong with me? Well, maybe it's the fact that you're both vampires and failed to inform me" I spit angrily causing Stefan and Damon's eyes to widen in shock.
"Yes, I know what you are, if only I had found out sooner" I scoff humorlessly.
"I'm so stupid, I felt it when I touched you and yet I just brushed it aside and totally ignored it" I say looking at Stefan before continuing to pace. Damon begins to stand up with his hands in mock surrender.
"Okay, I'm going to give you guys some alone time" He says sarcastically about to leave.
"Sit down" I growl and with a flash of my eyes he's back in his seat. They both look at me in surprise.
"Wait, you're a witch?" Stefan asks in confusion.
"No, I'm something called an Enchantress, much more powerful than a witch or any being for that matter" I answer looking specifically at Damon if he tried something, because god knows he would. As I stop pacing, I stand in front of them with my hands on my hips.
"So, were you ever going to tell me or just leave me to guess who was killing all those people and draining them of blood?" I ask them both in frustration.
"Yes, eventually, but those killings were Damon" Stefan says while grabbing my hand. I roll my eyes.
"Yes, I've kind of already figured that out" I grumble. Damon scoffs.
"Oh come on, please don't tell me you're one of those witches who despise vampires and hopes we all burn" Damon groans in irritation at the thought of witches.
"1. I'm not a witch, which I just told you, 2. I don't have a problem with vampires, just with the ones who harm innocent people, and 3. Most witches are vial creatures, they think bad of every species except for themselves" I list off one by one.

"So, you're not mad?" Damon asks with raised eyebrows.
"Yes, I'm mad that you think you can just kill innocents and not be punished" I snap about ready to pounce. A smirk grows on Damon's face.
"Oh, and what are you going to do about it Enchantress? Or whatever the hell that is" He taunts teasingly. My eyes flash a deep purple and red glow as I growl lowly. Damon's eyes widen in fear. Stefan looks shocked.
"W-What are you, Maria?" Stefan ask scooting away from me slightly. I sigh as my eyes go back to normal.
"I guess we're both spilling the truth tonight" I mumble before pulling up a seat in front of them.
"As I have told you, I'm a Enchantress which means I can put anyone under a spell using my charm. But that's not the only thing I can do. I was born and raised in Barbados, but by the age of 10 strange things started happening to me. I could read people's thoughts, see their past present and future with one look, destroy something with the tilt of my head, and kill someone with the flick of my wrist" I look down in despair.
"Constantly, I would hear voices in my head. I thought I was going crazy until my parents told me that our family comes a long line of magic. After that I started having weird dreams, that I soon realized were memories from past lives of my ancestors before me. Now I'm able to hear all of them whenever they want to send me a message or warn me" I look up from my hands to see both the brothers staring intently at me.
"The ancestors told me that I am their leader, that I will know great power. But, if I didn't practice it could consume me. So I did just that, it got really tough after my parents died" Tears begin to fill my eyes but I push them back.
Stefan and Damon look at me in sympathy.
"Anyways, you're done killing innocent people" I point sternly towards Damon. I turn to Stefan.
"You're done keeping secrets from me" I glance between the both of them.
"And you're both done fighting" They both rolled their eyes.
"Yeah like that's going to happen" They both mutter in union. I chuckle before rising to my feet.
"Okay boys, I must be off to see Elena, who's probably freaking out right now" I shrug as I grab my purse.
"Freaking out about what?" Damon asks with a curious raised eyebrow.
"Well, Mr. Football Man over there wasn't being careful and Elena saw him snapping his finger back into place and heal as if it was never broken" I glare at Stefan who looks down sheepishly. I roll my eyes playfully before a grin returns to my face.
"I'll see you guys later" I peck Stefan on the lips and Damon on the cheek before strutting out the door.
"Damn Stef, you got a good one" Damon tells him as they watch her leave. Stefan sighs breathlessly.
"Yeah, I know"
I'm currently in Elena's room explaining everything to her about you know, Vampires, Witches, Hunters, "Paidí tou skótous", you know the usual.
"Wow, that's...a lot" Elena scoffs in disbelief.
"Yeah, it is" I sigh.
"Do Jac and Bonnie know?" She asks still looking down to her bed.
"Jac knows, but she's something else and I'll let her decided if she wants to tell you or not and Bonnie..." I trail off as Elena's eyes widen.
"Bonnie's a real witch" She concludes, I nod which causes her to gasp.
"She is, she just doesn't exactly know it yet" Elena nods in understanding.
"Hey, are you okay?" I ask while placing my hand on her knee in comfort. She looks away before speaking.
"Maria, am I a...supernatural being?" Elena asks hesitantly meeting my eyes.
"Um- that's a story for another time, why don't you spend the night at mine since we'll be spending the whole day together tomorrow?" I suggest quickly changing the subject, Elena looks at me curiously before slowly nodding her head in agreement.
"Sure, just let me get some things together" She walks off to pack some of her things. I let out a huge breathe I didn't realize I was holding.
There was no way I was going to tell her that she was a doppelgänger, the very thing that vampires, werewolves, witches, and the original hybrid are after. The very creature that has the same blood as Katerina Petrova coursing through her veins. I mean Katherine doesn't scare me, but I'm sure she would scare Elena.
I mean I'll tell her one day, but unfortunately today is not that day.

Soul Forging

Borne of Desire
A man given a new lease on life finds himself amongst pokemon. From his memories of pokemon as a whole, he assumes the power of pokemon and the world around him runs on convenient fate, rule of cool, and cheesy friendship just like any other anime. Unfortunately for everyone else, he's 100% right. NOTE: If Borne of Caution is an attempt at a coherent and realistic look at pokemon, then, Borne of Desire is the opposite. It's all the mindless indulgence I DONT want in a serious story. It's a very seat-of-my-pants for-fun project and is written with no storyboard. Updates will be inconsistent and quality cannot be assured. Not to be taken too seriously.
