Jack, Lisa Georgie and Katie were all sat in the waiting room , it had been 3hrs already and had just been told it could be another 2hrs. Apparently Tim had given her 7 skull fractures, a broken cheek bone, Broken Jaw, broken Arm and 5 Rib fractures and the doctors needed to secure each fracture.

Tim Fleming had been locked up till he was sober, the police had taken lots of photos of Amy at the scene and they had one Mitch took of Tim standing over her body with the Rebar in his hand and all the blood on his hands.

Back at the Hospital Lisa was thinking, " you know Jack I was just thinking about the times Tim turned up at Dinnertime after we had the gate lock fitted, how did he get through it.".

Jack sat there thinking and then remembered a while ago Lou saying that as Amy wasn't going to be at Heartland for the day she had a meeting with her dad about the Dude Ranch.

"Dam you Lou, this is her fault Lisa".

,"what you mean Jack".

"That day Amy was away Lou invited Tim over for a meeting about the Dude Ranch and instead of bussing him in she gave him the keypad code.

I told her to change it as soon as he left, she obviously didn't and that's why he's been getting in".

Lou was in New York having dinner with Nicole and had just finished, they were sat talking and having a drink when she realised that her phone hadn't made any noise, she took it out and noticed it was still turned off. Lou turned it on and then it went mad, she looked at it and saw 1 Voicemail

She looked at the messages first and all said Phone me::Jack.

She looked at all the phone calls , 6 from Jack and 2 from lisa.

So she checked her Voicemail and listened to it.

Nicole was watching Lou and saw her go white.

Lou what's wrong you've gone white".

"M- m- my Dad tried to kill Amy, she's in Critical condition ". Lou started crying then she got a text message from her Grampa and it was not a nice one. She opened it and read it,

"Lou, I am so disappointed and Angry with you right now. You didn't change the Keypad code at the gate after your dad came to see you. Did you.

This is your fault Lou.".

" Oh my God, NO, ".

",Lou calm down, whats wrong ".

"It's my fault he got in, I didn't change the keypad code to keep Amy safe".

Lou started sobbing knowing she could be responsible if Amy died.

"I never should of let him talk me into giving him the code".

Just then she got another text.

"Tim has given Amy 7 skull fractures, a broken cheek bone,broken Jaw, broken Arm and 5 Rib fractures . She's still in surgery, Amy's been on the table 5 hours so far.".

" Jesus". Lou then showed Nicole the Text message of what her own father has done.

" Lou, you need to get home as quickly as possible".

"I, I don't know if I can do that, how do I look at my family, my Daughter's, there Aunt could still die and it's my fault Nicole, me, I'm responsible and Lyndy would be an Orphan. "

"Suck it up buttercup, you need to go and get on your knees and beg him to forgive you, your Dad manipulated you".

Lou decides to text Grampa back to say her phone was off.

" So Sorry Grampa, Dad manipulated me, every time I unlocked the gate he said it didn't open, I even checked the iPad and it said there was a fault.

I'm texting cause I can't stop sobbing, I'm really sorry. Will get next flight back. Do you have a photo of Amy so I know she's still with us.".

Another text comes back from Lisa this time.

"Hi Lou, Amy still in surgery, now 6 hrs, no Photo's yet, but do have some from the scene. "

"Hi Lisa, Is Grampa doing okay. Dad tricked me, but I should have changed the Code I'm so Sorry, send me any photos, I need to see what my ex Father has done".

Lou recieved some photos with a warning that they were explicit.

Lou opened them up and saw the first one with her Father stood behind Amy with a metal bar in his right hand and Amy laying on the floor.

The next three photos were more than Lou could stand to look at and pushed her phone to Nicole as she flew to the Ladies room and gave up everything she had just eaten.

Nicole had a stronger stomach and looked at them, she thought to herself how could a father do this to his own flesh and blood . He must be Psychotic, a madman.

Lou came back and apologized to Nicole who said there was no reason too. Lou phoned and booked a flight home to be with her sister.

Back at the Hospital after 6 hours a Doctor comes out to see them and takes Jack and Lisa to his office, Georgie says she will look after Katie and Lyndy.

They sit down in the office and wait for the Doctor to tell them how Amy is.

" After we've finished I will take you to see Your Granddaughter but there are things you need to know first.

We shaved her hair off but kept it all in one piece so we can make a wig out of her own hair. Amy has clips and a Halo attached to her head to keep her heads shape in place, her father turned her skull into a jigsaw. But everything is in place, the Brain swelling has gone down and brain activity is good.

We've repaired her Jaw and reset her arm, we've used a new substance on her Ribs by making an injection where the fractures are and that will stabilise them In about 2 days and quickens the healing process".

"How will this affect her Doctor, she's been through so much the last 7 or 8 months, she was pregnant when her husband went missing.

Then her father shot her in the abdomen forcing doctors to do a C section to save her and the baby.

Mentally, she was in a bad place when her Husband abandoned her and the baby choosing his work, she attempted Suicide. But the last couple of months we've seen such a positive change in her, she's bought her own Ranch, So mentally how will she fair".

"I would have to say that it depends upon what she remembers. She may not remember her husband disappeared or she may remember everything up to the attack, we will have to wait and see for now".

"Thank you Doctor. ".

"I'll take you to her".

They get up and follow him to see Amy.
