We followed y/n's mom downstairs to the kitchen island. I sat down next to y/n and grabbed her hand, intertwining our fingers.

"Okay, listen." She began. "I love both of you with all of my heart and I want you to be happy... which is why I'm allowing you to date." She said smiling.

I glanced over at y/n who's face was bright red.

"Wh- What does Gavin think?" Y/n replied.

"He may not agree but, we both want what's best for you two. If that means you two dating, so be it." She replied.

We smiled at each other.

"Now, isn't there a homecoming dance tomorrow you guys should be planning?" She asked.

"Thanks mom." Y/n said as she grabbed my hands and walked me down to our room.

"Well, looks like it all worked out fo-" she cut me off my smashing her lips into mine. We pulled away,

y/n smiling brightly.

"What?" I said staring at her.

"Do you want to go to the dance with me?" She said smiling.

"A million times yes." I said smiling so hard i couldn't feel my face.
