"Hey Freds," I say as I enter Freddie's foster home. "Hey baby face," and I hit his arm at the nick name he gave me.
He gave it me because of the fact that I have baby fat only in my face so he now calls me that whenever, wherever.
I give him a side hug and hold his hand as he takes me to his shared bedroom. Freddie and I are chilling while reading comic books and bonding when all of a sudden Billy busts out of nowhere and yells
"FREDDIE WE NEED TO GO C'MON PEOPLES LIVES ARE AT RISK!" And we both shoot up. "You- what?" I say and Freddie gives Billy a sharp glare. "Oh shoot..." Billy says and tried to make up an excuse.
"Why are you guys worried about lives being at risk?" I say and Freddie sighs "Look I've been wanting to tell you for a while but our whole family and I mean Billy, Darla, Mary, Eugene, Pedro, and I. We all have Shazam's power but like a fraction so Billy which is the real Shazam has the most power. I know if you don't want to date anymore but yeah I just thought that you would be be better off not knowing, you know more safe," he says and I'm in awe.
"NO FRICKING WAY, pardon my language. BUT FOR REAL YOU ALL ARE SUPERHEROES I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!" I squeal and hug Freddie and go down the ladder and hug Billy. I run around the house hugging everybody squealing quietly that they're all superheroes.
"Hey you alright YN," there mom says and I stop in my tracks. "Yeah I'm just really happy and I missed them all a lot. You know you guys are like my family and I haven't been here in a while." I make up a pathetic excuse but it seems to be good enough because she buys it.
I go back to Freddie's room to hug him but he's already left. In the distance I hear a faint SHAZAM which makes me beam.
