《Best friend VS Boyfriend》I'm not ready to believe you.

"So anything special happened in your life?" Aiden asks. They have been sitting in the pub for a while now and they just had small talk about several topics.
"Nothing special." Louis shakes his head. "I mean, I'm a celebrity now apparently but I'm still me."
"Of course you're still you, that's great." Aiden smiles sweetly at Louis. "You're a great guy."
"Thanks." Louis nods uneasily when Aiden puts his hand on Louis' shoulder. "So how is your boyfriend, then?"
"I broke up with him."
Louis almost spits out the beer that he was just taking a sip off.
"So he got a text as well, huh." Louis laughs darkly. He had to take that chance.
"Louis..." Aiden has a sad frown on his face. "I'm sorry, the way I ended things was horrible. I just- I couldn't bare to see you cry. I would be heartbroken. Hell I probably wouldn't have been able to go through with it."
"Then why doing it, Aiden?" Louis spits.
"I was already with him..." He sighs "I don't know, I was stupid. We were getting so serious that it actually scared me and I kind of looked for- I don't know, freedom? I wasn't ready to be so serious... I loved you so much, Louis but you were talking marriage and it scared the fuck out of me."
"I think it was something normal to discuss after 5 years..." Louis murmurs. "You could have told me that you weren't ready, there wasn't any need to look for an 18-year old and fuck him."
"And I regret it..." Aiden says. "Every single day. I think about what we could have been a lot..."
"I think it's time to ask the bill." Louis scrapes his throat and stands up, walking up to the bar and giving Luke's money.

"Louis, don't run away from this. I hoped that we could talk."
"I'm not ready." Louis shakes his head. "And I think you should respect that. You just messaged me that you have someone else, never even talked to me, sent me pictures from the two of you, while I was indeed talking marriage. You can't imagine how you hurt me so I'm sorry I'm not here jumping around happily that you and your toy boy broke up."
"I get it... Just let it sink in and maybe we can go out for dinner next week? Take it slow, as friends?"
Louis puts on his jacket as he walks out of the bar.
"We'll see."
Louis walks back home, in need for some rest. His brain is about to explode, his heart about to fall out and honestly he can't handle this. He can't wait to order food with his two friends and watch tv.
When he opens the door though, he sees something he didn't expect at all.
"H..." Louis looks at the boy sitting on his couch, tears rolling down his flushed cheeks. "H, don't cry please." Is the next thing Louis says.
"You were with Aiden..." Harry's voice cracks and more tears are streaming down his face. "Are you really- are you back again with him like the tabloids say?" Harry goes straight to the point, wants to be clear about it, about the way he feels, about how hurt he is.
"It shouldn't matter to you..." Louis whispers, staring at the ground as he takes off his jacket.
"Shouldn't matter to me, Louis? Are you fucking serious?" Harry hisses. "We slept together!"
"And I don't know what to think of that!" Louis screams back. "I don't know what has been real that comes from Taylor and you, how should I? Apparently the two of you just lied to me!"

"And Aiden is better or what?" Harry's jealousy is showing.
"I just grabbed a drink with him, nothing more and also it's none of your business what I do with who!"
"I was there to pick up the pieces he created, Louis."
"Maybe he is here now to pick up the pieces you created." Louis fires back, lies though. There is no way that Louis is going to have a personal talk with Aiden.
"You don't even give me the chance to talk to you. I was at your door yesterday, I have been waiting here for an hour now for you."
"Yes, and how did you get even into my flat."
"Because Zayn and Liam let me in and they agreed we should talk."
Fuckers Louis thinks. He is not ready for it.
"It's not up to them to decide what I do. I want you out, Harry."
"I miss you."
"Out, please."
"I care about you."
"Harry, I said out." Louis takes a glass of water. He can't handle this right now.
"I need you."
"Harry, I swear to god stop this."
"I love you." Louis drops the glass on the floor, pieces shattering everywhere and a cut is formed at the bottom of his leg.
"Jesus, Louis." Harry quickly runs over to the guy and wants to take care of him, but Louis pushes him away. When they make eye contact, Louis' blue eyes are filled with tears.
"Please, please just go." He sobs. "Don't lie to me about those things, please." The boy looks utterly broken and Harry's own heart breaks when he sees Louis like that.
"But it's not a lie..." Harry whispers, thumb caressing Louis' cheek and wiping away his tears.
"It is. You don't continue to lie to the person you love, Harry. And that' s what you have been doing for the past year and longer. I'm sorry but I'm not ready to listen to you, I'm not ready to believe you, I'm just not- I'm not ready for you yet, H..."

Apocrypha of The Dead

Ghostified City
‘Ghostified City’ is a post-dystopian sci-fi tale, set in a fading world that might be a future version of ours, running out on autopilot into oblivion. Adaman Yimmand is a simple robofactory operator in The City who's working with robots and machines every day. He doesn’t even realise that he might not have met another actual human being in years. Everything begins when he breaks his routine for once and enters a bar where he meets Evelith. This pesky other person does not let him go after he has had his -rather terrible- beer, because according to her actual humans are much rarer than he’s aware of. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction. Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)
