《Best friend VS Boyfriend》I'm waiting for your call.

"I'm not in the mood for it." Louis stares at the boy in front of him without any emotion. "Really, not in the mood for it. You can turn around and just go."
"Louis, please we need to talk about this." Harry's eyes are teary and as much as that's something Louis is really sensitive about, he is going to ignore it for his own sake right now.
"I know we have to, just not right now. Just because you decide right now that we need to talk, doesn't mean we have to do it right now. I don't want to. I have been wanting to all day but you completely ignored me."
"But I-"
"Go home, Harry. I'm too much on edge for this conversation to end well. I don't want to say things that will hurt you, and I will right now. Please turn around and if you really care that much, you will wait for my call when I am ready to talk."
"I love you, Louis." Harry sobs. "Whatever you see, whatever you hear, I love you. I'm waiting for your call."
Louis only nods, not saying the words that are burning on his tongue.
I love you too.
He carefully closes the door again and tears that were begging to fall down before, are able to right now. Louis doesn't get it. He wasn't supposed to be in this situation. He was never supposed to go with Taylor to the party, people weren't supposed to know about his existence, he wasn't supposed to regain those feelings for Harry Styles. He was over it, he really was.
He decided to grab his phone from the floor, seeing he has a few missed calls from Liam, Zayn and Taylor.
Just as he is about to delete his feed, Taylor calls him again.

"What the fuck do you want, Taylor?" He snaps.
"I get that you're angry, Lou but"
"Louis, it's Louis to you."
"Louis, I can explain everything to both you and Harry."
"Well, that can wait. I haven't given the chance yet to my boyfriend to do so, so don't even think I'm going to listen to you first. I shouldn't even have picked up this call. It's late, I want to think and I want to sleep."
"Harry would never do something to hurt you, you know that Louis."
"I'm sorry if I'm not really trusting when it comes to Harry and you. It's not like the two of you had been lying to my face for over a year."
"Yes but this-"
"Don't need the explanation, Taylor. I might consider listening to you after I've listened to Harry. Right now I don't want to hear any of you. I have the right to be angry."
"Be safe, Louis." Taylor sighs. "You know I love you and care about you."
"Night."
--
It's three days later when Louis decides to call Harry. He honestly wanted to call him the second that he left the place, but that would have been too weak. Harry didn't deserve the easy treatment and for sure not after a billion more articles that appeared about Harry and Taylor's relationship. He wasn' even able to sleep or to eat. He's just hurt, very hurt.
It makes Louis sick, but if he doesn't let Harry explain then he thinks he is going to go mad. It also doesn't help that literally every single studio has contacted Liam for an interview about the 'love birds of Hollywood'.
He presses on his name the second that the two of them appear on his tv again. It's the final drop, he does want to know the explanation now.

"Louis, thank god." A sigh of relief leaves Harry's mouth. "I have been literally living next to my phone."
"Are you? Because according to my tv you have been on dates with Taylor Swift." Louis doesn't mean to sound as vile as he did, or he does. Yeah, actually he means to sound this vile.
"Do you want to come over? Should I come to your place? Because this isn't a conversation for over the phone."
"I agree." Louis says. "I'll come over to your place."
"I can send Paul to pick you up and-"
"I'll just take the bus." Louis hangs up the phone, takes a quick shower because he smells like shit and then puts on a pair of joggers and a loose white shirt.
It's the first time in three days that Louis leaves his house and it's like paparazzi have been waiting for him to come out. Louis is attacked by tons of journalists, photographers and other people that it makes him feel claustrophobic.
"Are you the one that set Harry and Taylor up together again?"
"Louis, how do you feel about Harry and Taylor being back together?"
"You don't look good. Are you not happy for Harry and Taylor?"
"We haven't seen you since Harry and Taylor are back together. What about that?"
"Louis, is it true that you are fired? Why?"
It drives Louis crazy, his sight is blurry from tears that are threatening to spill again.
"Leave me alone, please." Louis croaks out.
People surround Louis, start to touch him and he doesn't want it. He needs peace, he needs silence and space. His breath gets stuck in his throat and he starts to see black dots. His legs are shaking, his head feeling light, maybe from the lack of food and sleep, and the claustrophobic feeling.
The voices fade out, and for a moment Louis is at peace for the first time in three days.

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
