《Kiss √》TWENTY-EIGHT

say they were angry was an understatement. their eyelids flared as they stared at the driver with a menacing glare.
jungkook screamed, "this is all your fault!"
"this is my fault!" taehyung roared, "i don't see any of you guys having a driver's license!"
"you don't know how to drive even with one!"
"oh really now! why don't you try dodging bullets while driving!"
the atmosphere fell uneasy as they fired shots back and forth at each other. the others listened unable to say anything in the tensed argument.
"this is none of our faults." hoseok whispered, "how were we supposed to know exo would turn on us."
namjoon tilted his head upward, "we are missing something. there's something else at play here."
namjoon knew exo wasn't the type to backstab. from all his interactions with them they seemed friendly.
"wow look 148 iq is using his brain."
namjoon shot a glare to jungkook in the back. jungkook sent a cheeky smile back.
"go and fix the car now. let's go to our beach house for now."
taehyung opened the door of the car. he squatted beside the punctured wheel. the tire was in shreds surrounding the casing.
"the wheels done for." taehyung glanced at namjoon, "i think we have a spare in the back."
namjoon walked towards the trunk, "i got it."
he picked the black tire and set it on the ground. he sat next to taehyung who looked over the wheel.
"jiminie come help me."
"but i'm right here though. i could help"
jimin stifled a smile, "we want to build not break!"
namjoon rolled his eyes. he didn't break everything, besides, it wasn't always his fault.
"hyung we kind of need the tools as well."
"no you get it." namjoon huffed.
jimin rose with a sigh. he lifted the box of tools from the trunk setting it down beside them as they worked.
they worked on the car till the bright skies went dark. soft snores escaped from the inside of the car.

taehyung locked eyes with jimin. a wide grin spread across his face.
"let's have a bit of fun." taehyung plastered a smile, "get into the car."
taehyung tiptoed into his seat at the front. his hand floated above the wheel. he smashed his hand straight into the center
the horn screamed at full blast.
there was a loud thud in the back.
"what the fuck was that!" yoongi's head spun 360.
taehyung buried his head into the wheel. small sounds of laughter floated into the air from him and jimin.
"you guys are fucking dead!"
jimin shouted, "drive! taehyung drive!"
taehyung jolted back into his seat, slamming his foot onto the pedal.
"you might want a seatbelt hyung!"
the car took a reverse and sped onto the streets cruising at a high speed of 270 mph. swears emerged from the back.
"dude what the fuck!" jungkook yelled, "i don't think we are in a hurry!"
"i don't think i asked!"
jimin was dying of laughter. his stomach ached from the loud laughs escaping him. taehyung was an idiot sometimes.
groans flew into the air, one by one they all woke up amidst the chaos in the front. their ears rang from the childish argument.
haru's eyes fluttered open. she was deep in thought. there had to be a reason they were keeping her. there was something more. she needed to know.
haru broke the argument, "am i missing something here?"
"obviously." namjoon seethed.
she had grown to hate both namjoon and hoseok out of the bunch. she didn't know the rest of their names besides jimin.
"alright bitch. nice knowing ya but i'm out."
haru leaned towards the car door. she would rather jump than stay with seven grown men.
jungkook grasped the girl's waist, "you aren't leaving anywhere darling."
haru struggled from his hold. she needed to leave. his hold on her was strong. she squirmed but he didn't let lose.
"let me fucking leave." haru paused, "you big fat bunny."

she remembered him from the picture. he was the bunny boy, supposedly the right-hand man.
"oh haru, you're royally screwed now."
jungkook lifted her up, setting her in between him and hoseok. they were never going to let her sit next to the car door again. she tackled him, sending punches that didn't affect him.
"haru." hoseok spoke in a silky voice, "are you sure you want to leave?"
"of course i'm fucking sure. why else would i be tackling this oaf?"
namjoon turned in his seat. his eyes pierced straight into haru's eyes.
"you see haru. with one click, we can expose your identity." namjoon drawled, "isn't that right shadow?"
haru froze. nobody knew her identity. jimin wasn't bluffing that day. he knew what she had become.
"so haru. i would think it would be best for you to listen to us."
haru had realized that she had messed with the wrong people. she was screwed.
taehyung smirked behind the wheel, "well now that we got the house rules under control. why don't we introduce ourselves?"
"i'm sure haru wants to know the handsome men surrounding her."
"i think the fuck not." haru retorted, "handsome my ass."
"haru." namjoon's voice sweetened, "i'm sure you don't mean that."
she should have ended him when she got the chance, as soon as she escaped this man would be number one on her hit list.
"you guys are average looking men."
"acceptable." namjoon smiled as his dimples went on full display, "i'm namjoon."
she hated this man with a passion, but his dimples were the cutest and she couldn't deny that.
"i'm jungkook and i can knock you out with a punch."
she rolled her eyes, "alright bro chill."
"i'm your hope, you're my hope. i'm jhope." the orange-haired man smiled.
"he's hoseok."
he was the most radiant of them all, but she still hated him.
"don't ruin my sleep or i'll kill you." the blue-haired man threatened, "i'm yoongi."
she noted that under last resort would she bother this man.
"you already know me but i'll introduce myself too. i'm jimin."
she couldn't look him in the eye. she was still guilty of what she had done.
"and last but not least. i'm your fabulous driver taehyung."
"fabulous?" hoseok roared, "you gave me motion sickness!"
"your driving is shit!"
"i think you meant amazing!"
a light chuckle left haru. they were stupidly funny. their heads turned towards haru at the sound of her giggle.
"oh my god." jungkook fangirled, "she can smile."
haru's smile was wiped clean off her face, "fuck off bunny boy."
"why don't you introduce yourself haru. i don't think we have met?"
"i'm park haru."
jungkook hummed, "what's your age."
"what a proper man." haru hissed, "asking a lady her age."
"i don't think you have a choice dear."
haru heaved a sigh, "22"
hoseok was almost approaching the number one spot on her hit list. her hate was growing.
taehyung swerved the car left, arriving by a magnificent beach house.
"i sure as hell missed this place."
the boys along with haru slumped into their home. they were as ready as ever to get their brother back.
yoongi shifted a glance towards haru, "let's have some quick house arrangements. so we don't end up with any trouble."
"why the fuck are you deciding?" jimin groaned, "your arrangements are shit."
"cause i'm the eldest right now."
"alright i get my own room-"
"that's fucking tyranny. you are not getting your own room" taehyung retorted.
"fight me bitch. you and jimin share, jungkook you're with hoseok and haru with namjoon."
"why the fuck would you put me with a murderer."
loud groans of distaste filled the environment. they needed jin back as soon as possible.
namjoon sighed, "taehyung go get the spare computer we have here."
"let's just hope they didn't find his tracker yet."

NOTE: A review on this fiction has indicated that certain themes were traumatizing. While I believe this to be exagerated, I have added the appropriate tag for those who may be sensitive to those themes (fever dreams, delusions, and trials and tribulations).

"Don't we all feel, deep down, that we deserve the apocalypse?" APRIL, 2028—Global capitalism has collapsed. America has sealed itself off from the outside world, and inside its borders, a revolution rages. All it took was one incredible little machine. That machine turned into two, then four, then eight... like a virus, the replicators spread. As a work of oral history, The Good Crash features over 50 interviews with key witnesses to the events of 2027. The text is rendered in the words used by the interviewees themselves, with light editing for clarity and concision. As such, the book contains language and themes that are not appropriate for children.By capturing the voices to the people at the very root of the revolution, journalist and historian R. Vondersnitch has traced the origins and aftermath of the replicators' rapid spread. Crucially, the book also includes perspectives and testimony from those who attempted to stop the spread of the reps. "Some of these are heroes, too, in their own ways," the author writes in the book's introductory note.

Thank you. ------------------------------------------ The sword is greater than a simple weapon; an answer to life's questions. An extension of thine master's hand, guided by wrist. Care it not whether guilty or innocent blood shed, for be it a mere edge, a weapon. For blade that forgets or refuses to cut be shameful, meaningless, disgraceful. Nay, be it considered a tool at all? What dost the weapon do when the steel hath no guide, that the master hath mingled far? Doth it Stay? Perhaps quiver at possibility, the loss of reason for existence? Or does it go forth into the unknown, guided by merely the wind and the edge? A wandering sword, a phantom blade- A lone Samurai. ------------------------ Credit to Nicklas Gustaffson for the image.
