and haru stood in front of yoongi, right at the doorstep.
"we're going to go on our anniversary date." namjoon held haru close to him, "can you guys please look after daeho and chanmi"
"sorry." haru kept her eyes on the floor, "we really forgot to tell you guys."
"it's eight pm." yoongi rolled his eyes, "do you guys have no sense of time."
namjoon clasped his hands together, "please hyung."
"fine." he gruffed, " as long as they don't cause problems like last time."
yoongi shuddered from the thought.
namjoon gulped, "what did they do again last time?"
yoongi balled his fist as he stared at namjoon and haru.
"they dyed my hair gray!" yoongi huffed, " they dyed it fucking gray. i looked like a grandpa for a month."
namjoon glared at yoongi, "don't curse in front of them."
namjoon covered daeho's ears while haru covered chanmi's ears.
"that's coming from you, namjoon."
namjoon bit his lip, ignoring yoongi's remark.
haru blew yoongi a kiss, "bye, bye grandpa."
"namjoon and i are leaving." she held namjoon's hand, "take good care of them."
the kids raced inside before yoongi slammed the door shut. the rest of the group was sleeping. he was going to sleep too.
daeho and chanmi were old enough to take care of themselves.
daeho nudged chanmi, "lets bake some pancakes."
"for dinner?" chanmi raised her eyebrows, " you suck at cooking."
daeho stuck his tongue out. he ran into the kitchen.
daeho held up a spatula, "you better help me, or i'll burn the kitchen down."
"can't we at least wait till uncle jin is awake. he can help supervise."
"it's much better when they are all sleeping." daeho pointed to all the sleeping uncles in the hall, "we can surprise them."

chanmi facepalmed, "i don't think a burnt down house is a good surprise."
daeho gathered up the materials, setting them on the counter. he wore uncle jin's huge apron over him.
"you're helping me cook. i'm sure the house won't burn down."
"oppa." chanmi whined, "it's bound to burn down if you're even present in the kitchen."
***
haru pointed to namjoon, "can you serve his dish on a plastic or disposable plate."
namjoon crossed his hands once the waiter left. he frowned as his eyes sunk.
"i don't break the plates every time."
haru sent him a sly smile, "i can't take any chances."
the waitress came by, placing both their plates in front of them.
the candlelight was lit as they talked in the dim light.
"this is our first uninterrupted date so far." namjoon chuckled, "we've been interrupted every time."
haru smiled at namjoon, "even when you proposed to me."
"it's beautiful isn't it." namjoon's hand was intertwined with haru's as they stared into the waters, "the han river."
they stared into the waters illuminated by the shining fountains, sprinkled in a variety of colors.
"haru." namjoon started.
namjoon loosened his hand, letting it free from haru's.
haru turned towards namjoon, gazing into his eyes.
namjoon dug his hand into his pocket, hastily hiding a box behind his back. he got down on one knee, holding out the black box in front of him.
haru gasped. her hand's were over her mouth as she stared at namjoon. tears filled in her eyes. she couldn't look away from him.
namjoon opened the black box, "will you marry me."
a sudden ringing broke through the silence. namjoon quickly pulled out his phone, glancing at the caller.

he declined the call, tossing his phone back into his pocket.
the ringing sounded again, this time even louder. namjoon declined it once again.
he looked up at haru, with a light smile.
the melodious tone shattered the silence once again.
namjoon bared his teeth. he picked up his phone, setting it on speaker.
"what the hell do you want jungkook? i'm busy."
"namjoon hyung!" a voice squeaked through the phone, "jin's trying to kill me."
a loud variety of yelps and shrieks were heard.
"are you fucking serious."
namjoon's eyes bore lasers into his phone. his jaw clenched.
"help me hyung!" jungkook screamed, "jin's about to murder me!"
namjoon growled, "don't call me again."
he hung up.
haru giggled. her laughter filled the night skies as she wiped away her tears.
"yes." she broke out, "i'll marry you, namjoon."
namjoon stood up. his dimples illuminated. he took out the gold ring from the box, slipping it over her finger. he brushed away her hairs swaying in the wind.
namjoon held his arms out.
haru jumped into his arms, holding namjoon tight. she didn't want to let go, ever.
namjoon cupped her cheeks, "you know haru, i'll never forget the day we met."
a flush of pink, rivaling her skin tone rose up her face.
namjoon leaned in, kissing her softly. their lips locked together under the stars.
haru giggled at the memory, "that was one of the best days in my life."
a melodious tone broke through the silence. it was paired with harsh vibrations and ringing.
"i spoke too soon, didn't i."
***
"no. no. no." chanmi bobbed her head to the side, "it needs to be on low flame."
daeho glanced at the stove. he looked underneath the pan.
"it is on low flame." daeho pointed to the stove.
"no it's not."
"what do you mean 'no it's not'." daeho mimicked, "the pancake looks just fine."
"its black you idiot. pancakes are supposed to be light brown."
a bitter smell of smoke wafted through the air. it filled the atmosphere with a burnt smell.
"chanmi, what's that smell?"
daeho scrunched up his nose as the course smell absorbed him. he turned around him, trying to find the source of the smell.
chanmi glanced at daeho, "ew. it smells like shit."
"and where did you learn that word-"
chanmi cut daeho off, "uncle yoongi."
"uh chanmi." daeho pointed to the stove, "what the hell is that?"
daeho eyes darted between chanmi and the red flame surrounding the stove.
"run daeho! run!" chanmi shrieked.
"uncle kookie! uncle jin! uncle tae!" the duo screamed, "uncle yoongi! uncle jimin! uncle hobi!"
their uncles shot up from their sleep. they glanced at the two with scared expressions.
"what happened?" jin ruffled chanmi's hair, "did you have a nightmare?"
they pointed towards the fire, standing tall and ferocious.
"oh shit!"
jin's nightmare came to life. the group ran straight out of the home with chanmi and daeho on their shoulders.
"can somebody give joon a ring." jin sighed, banging his head into his palms.
the group stood outside their home, engulfed by a bright red monster.
a car drove into the driveway with two angered faces creeping closer.
namjoon gripped the ends of his hair. haru stood next to him, glowing with immense fury.

The Ancient Core: A Progression Fantasy
The title of [The Ancient One] is bestowed upon an unassuming, forgotten Core. Hidden deep underground, it lies in wait, biding its time as it learns the rules of its surroundings. Roaming beasts and unknown threats surely threaten the little rock as it sticks to the darkness, its one true refuge. This is a slow-burning Dungeon-Core fiction with a LitRPG-System. You can expect an extreme amount of kingdom-building, an more in-depth Mana-System, and a Evolution-System. Chapters are between the length of 2-4k words, though the first 50 will likely be closer to 4k. Anything after will have the average be 2.5k. I personally like explaining how things work a lot, so do have that in mind if you decide to read this fiction. My World To Live
[Do Not Read this version, New FINAL version uploaded August 9th, 2021 as separate fiction, click to link here on RR. Essairyn had never felt truly alive on Earth. It felt like something was missing ever since she was born, but even after nearly 20 years of mundane living, she could never pinpoint what this or the emptiness in her heart was. Suddenly, she awakens in a grandiose, primordial forest and encounters both demons and spirits in a parallel world called Sol'h'meyr. She befriends, in particular, a sassy fox-spirit named Akari who just reincarnated after three millennia. Essairyn is an abnormal human with elemental powers, and Akari is being chased by those of her dark past. Together, they set out on an adventure in a world of magic, danger, mystery, and intrigue. But this not a game. That simple adventure is actually the modest beginnings in a chain of disruptions that tear even the dimensional fabric of time and space. No one, not even Essairyn, was who she thought she was. And not even the gods can change the destiny of the universes... A single promise shook eternity’s existence. — Fantasy || Adventure || Romance || Action || Mystery || Drama || Science Fiction — The My World To Live (MWTL) series, the alternative short name is Canaan, is comprised of three books symbolically named My World, To Live, and My World To Live. Two years prior, the entire story had been planned and detailed out from start to finish before actual writing. Thus, the story will never be dropped. While the genre is largely Fantasy, the book is comprised of many other elements including a School Life (Magic Academy) story portion. MWTL has a lot of scattered symbolism and allusions, hence, the mystery aspect. The science fiction elements progressively become more pronounced, and the slow romance is a late bloomer. The female lead is strong and independent, and her backstory and identity unravel as drivers of the plot. Expect lots of action/fighting throughout and scattered philosophical and psychological themes arising. It's a human journey to find the essence of one's living and purpose. What kind of world do I wish to live for? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I hope to share the journey with you~! Canaan's Original and New Covers: If you're curious about my art and the various covers I made for this series and other authors, I have a RR thread that makes free covers and shows art processes. [October 1, 2020 Notice: Hello, I aplogize to all followers for suddenly taking an extended hiatus. Life threw a lot at my face and then the pandemic happened, so I hadn't been able to write until around the last month when I decided to challenge myself and finish the first book in this series. I am ok now, and thank you for your patience and understanding. No words can express how much every reader means to me. RR was the first writing platform that I ever felt accomplished to any small degree, so I am forever grateful to it. Multiples changes have been made since this final revision and writing of the ending, so please see the latest chapter detailing the update. This also includes my decision to submit this story to the 2020 Wattys contest (the deadline was Sept 30th). That means I will not be posting the updated version of this story on here until the contest is over (since I doubt I'll win anyway lol). And so, if you want to read the full, now completed (woohoo!) story, please go to my Wattpad. Thank you once again, and wishing you all the very best health and happiness! FINAL UPDATE, March 7, 2021: The complete story has been re-posted after the Wattys. This version that was on Wattys is the one being re-posted. However, the Final Version (which will be on a separate book from this to remain organized, and is technically the fifth version of the story xD) will be released May 2021. For more information, please read this update linked here. Thank you to all readers for taking this two year journey with me!
