"Are you going to say something or are we going to keep Bucky locked in his bedroom forever?" You has probably only been sat with Steve for about five minutes but it was awkward and you were starting to lose your patience. Your eye was starting to swell and your head was throbbing.

"Become close haven't you? You and Bucky" Steve starts, but you put an end to that shit before he can even say anything else.

"Don't you dare imply that. Not after what you heard me say about you, not after I just quite literally took a black eye for you"

"Sorry..."

"Yeah. I bet you are"

"Daisy I..."

"Steve. I'm fed up, okay? I'm in a lot of pain and the last thing I want is another argument so whatever it is you want to say just say.."

"Howard came to my house. Him and Peggy, before they broke up, the secret project they were working on is a serum, a soldier serum, it enhance's people but they aren't sure to what extent. They want me as a test subject"

You were dumfounded, what made it worse was the way Steve was explaining it, he sounded excited, like this was something he actually wanted.

"You aren't seriously considering doing that? Are you?"

"Why not?"

"There's nothing wrong with who you are now Steve" You sigh, shaking your head.

"I'm not enough"

"You are enough"

"For who?"Steve scoffs.

"For me!" You shout back as a tear falls from your face.

"You don't need some serum to make you stronger or to make you better Steve. Nothing will ever make you better. You're kind and sweet and sensitive and..."

"Women don't want that"

"I wanted that!" You croak out. Frustrated with how Steve was pushing your feelings aside. Time again.

Steve stares at you in complete shock.

"Is everything alright?" Bucky peers back into the room carefully.

You shake your head and get up off the sofa.

"Steve wants to trial an enhancement serum off page and Howard"

"What?" Bucky frowns.

"Well actually, they want Bucky to do it too..."

"No!" You scream. Anger completely taking over.

"Daisy..." Bucky mumbles and you turn to him in disbelief.

"Bucky, you can't be serious?"

"What are the effects?" Bucky questions Steve.

"Well Peggy didn't really get chance to explain it all because Daisy tipped a milkshake over her head, but super strength, stamina, durability..."

"I'm in" Bucky announces. Making you pant out even more so than before.

"What-why?!"

"Women dig stamina, I'd be able to go all night..."

"Jesus Christ Bucky that's gross!" You give him a push but he doesn't budge.

"Where do we sign up?" Bucky turns his attention to Bucky once more.

"Oh my God are you guys serious right now?!"

Bucky puts a hand on your shoulder but you swat him off.

"Daisy..." Steve whispers. Getting himself up off the sofa and turning his attention to you.

"What Steve?" You ask defeatedly. You were done at this point. You knew nothing you do or say would change there mind.

"Will you come with us? Do get the serum?"

You look into Steve's eyes to see the pleading snd the worry.

You turn back to Bucky and he gives you a nod, letting you know he would want you there too.

"Fine.." you grumble out.

"When and where?" Bucky asks excitedly. Like a child who's about to get a puppy for Christmas.

"Well Howard mentioned setting the system up at my place so.."

"So let's go" Bucky interrupts once more before rushing to the front door. Making you and Steve follow behind him.

"So, did you two make up?" Bucky asks as he begins to drive to Steve's. You were sat in the passenger seat and Steve in the back.

"Not exactly" You sigh as you look out the window. You didn't want to look at either of them right now.

"Daisy..." Steve calls your name and you let out a breath.

"Yeah?"

"I was never on a date with Peggy"

"Steve, as idiotic as you're trying to be, stop. Do you not remember that I literally saw your lips crashing against one another's outside that fancy ass restaurant?!"

Bucky and Steve automatically go silent. Only Bucky knew the truth that the kiss was forced. Steve was too embarrassed to say anything so he just put his head down and shut up.

"Exactly. So nice try"

"Daisy stop it" Bucky speaks up. Trying to hold off on saying the truth. It Wasn't his story to tell.

You roll your eyes before putting your attention back out to the window.

Once you pull up to Steve's drive you look over to your fathers house.

"What is it?" Bucky asks you carefully.

"The blinds are shut" You frown as you inspect the outside.

"The blinds?" Steve repeats, then looking up at the house with you.

"He always leaves them open. He hated the dark..."

Bucky and Steve exchange a quick glance and you feel your feet reaching you to your fathers front door.

"Dad?!?" You knock on the door and call out to him. No response.

"Maybe he's not home?" Steve asks hopeful.

"The cars there..." Bucky points out. Making you fill with worry.

"Dad it's me, it's petal!" You start to become frantic. Banging with both your fists now, trying to get a response.

"Daisy, may I?" Bucky asks as he approaches the door. You nod, giving him the reassurance he needs.

With one kick Bucky boots down the door and it comes flying off the hinges. The three of you rush inside and you see your fathers limp body lying in his chair. Empty bottles of beer and even bigger bottles of whisky and vodka surrounding him. Rubbish all over the floor and dust everywhere. You had been gone less than a week.

You immediately ran to his side and held his face. There was no colour to it, you tried opening his eyes but they were rolled to the back of his head. He was gone.

"Daisy..." Steve calls carefully. But you were screaming and shouting at this point.

"Daddy? It's me, I'm home, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, dad please, you can't be done yet, I need you, your petal needs you wake up, don't do this, please, this isn't it for us daddy, please it can't be" You were sobbing into his chest as you gripped onto his shirt trying to shake him awake.

Bucky comes to your side and pulls you off him. You kick and fight back but Bucky let's you. Just holding you as tightly as possible to stop you from hurting yourself further. He drags you out to the front porch as Steve grabs the telephone to dial 911.

"Daisy..." Bucky whispers to you but you couldn't listen.

"Daisy..." Bucky tries again.

Eventually you collapse onto the floor in a heap of exhaustion and heartache. Bucky sits beside you and gather any strength you have to crawl onto his lap as he rocks you back and forth.

Steve comes out a minute later and sits next to Bucky, he begins to stroke your hair.

"The police will be here soon...I'm so sorry Daisy"
