By the time Bucky come back to Steve's, both Daisy and Steve were both fast asleep on the sofa.
Bucky nudges Steve slightly and he jumps awake.
"Shhh" Bucky says in a hushed whisper. Pointing at Daisy who still had her arm wrapped around Steve.
Steve manages to sit up and carefully manoeuvre himself off the sofa without disturbing you. He tucks a blanket over you to keep you warm before making his way over to the dining table with Bucky.
"Did you manage to talk to her?" Bucky asks hopeful.
Steve shakes his head "She's exhausted and emotional. I think they way things ended with her father really hit her hard, especially considering they wasn't on the best of terms when..."
"Yeah. No I understand. We have to help her"
Steve nods agreeing "Thanks Buck"
"For what?"
"Stepping up when I couldn't. I was so blinded by this idea of the serum, that I let Peggy get to me, I pushed Daisy away when I should have been holding her closer. If anything like this ever happens again, I need you to put me back in my place. Again"
Bucky laughs, patting Steve on the back "Of course Pal, til the end of the line remember?"
"The end of the line" Steve repeats. Giving Bucky a small smile.
"I'm gonna head home, if you want I can wake.."
"No!" Steve should almost desperately. Jumping a little in his seat. He realises he shouted a little too loud and he dials it back.
"Actually I Uh..."
"Spit it out Steve" Bucky says firmly.
"I was wondering maybe if she could stay here...with me?"
"That's her choice Steve. I can't make that decision for her, but it sounds like a good idea to me, plus she's going to have to go sort through her house...it might be easier if she's here"

Steve gulps a little. He hadn't even thought about that. That was going to destroy Daisy. Steve immediately felt nothing but sympathy for you.
"Hey, don't fade away this time, she needs you. I need you" Bucky says sternly. Bringing Steve's attention back to him.
"I'm here. I'm here" Steve repeats while nodding. His mind working overtime.
"Night Pal" Bucky says before getting up to leave.
"Night Buck" Steve replies back as he heads out the door.
As the door closes Daisy starts to stir, she opens her eyes to see Steve walking back towards her.
"Bucky just left"
"Oh. Oh do you want me to go with him?" You quickly rush to sit up and head out the door. Steve holds your wrist and pulls you back to him. He pulls you slightly harder than you thought and you end up bashing into him slightly. Your chest knocking his. You were like two fumbling idiots. It was adorable.
"Sorry I didn't mean..."
"It's fine Steve" You giggle nervously. Looking down.
Steve tucks a piece of hair that had fallen infront of your face behind your ear and you look up to meet his gaze. As his eyes pierced through you you couldn't help but hold your breath.
"So beautiful" Steve whispers out. Before realising he didn't say that in his head. He said it out loud. The two of you blush instantly.
"Sorry..."
"Steve, why are you apologising for complimenting me?"
"You make me nervous" Steve shrugs.
"We've been best friends for years. Literally decades"
"But it's different now" Steve confesses. You feel a knot in your stomach.
"Oh"
"No that's not what I meant!"
"So..what did you mean?" You ask slowly.
"I Uh..I can't, I don't..."
You notice Steve becoming flustered and you smile, you take your hand and cup his face. Using your thumb to stroke his cheek. Steve looks at you and swallows nervously.

"You know, you make me nervous too. It's awkward. I mean, not awkward in a bad way, awkward as in I don't know how to act around you since our kiss..."
"Right. The kiss..."
"I'm really sorry again. If I had known what peggy had done theres no way I would have just..."
"Never apologise for kissing me Daisy" Steve blurts out.
You look down and shuffle your feet. Your hand still on Steve's face. He takes it from his face and brings it to rest on his chest. You look up and he smiles that Steve Rogers smile at you.
"Does that mean I can do it again?" You ask as you feel the butterflies in your stomach start to flutter.
Steve continues to give you that god damn smile before placing his hands on your lower back, bringing you towards him.
"Please" He says proudly.
You swipe your arm from his chest over his shoulder and to the back of his neck. Your other hand following. This gives you the opportunity to lean in even more towards him before pressing your lips slowly but surely to his, the kiss was tender but loving. Filled with nothing but purity. You open your mouth slightly and Steve deepens the kiss. Making the kiss slightly more intense and passionate. Your pace becoming faster before your hands find they way into Steve's hair and he finds his way to your waist.
You pull apart after a few minutes and you both gasp slightly. Your cheeks flushed and your lips warm.
"I want you to stay with me" Steve breathes out, finding his courage.
"W-what?"
"I want you to stay with me. Instead of Bucky"
This takes you by surprise. The way steve spoke, totally controlled but somewhat demanding made your feel some type of way. You couldn't explain it but you were excited by the tone of his voice.
"Yea Captain" You smirk. Making steve usher up the bravery to pull you close towards him once again.
"I like when you call me that" He says flirtatiously as his lips brush against yours.
"I'll be sure to keep calling you it then" You say back as you press your lips to his once more.
