'S-so you went into my mind?' Bucky asks in distress to Loki and Wanda who were trying to explain how they managed to break him through the compliance of the winter soldier mind frame.

You take Bucky's hand and gently swirl circles on the back of his hand to try and relax him, but he flinches in your touch.

'Hey...it's me Buck. It's me'

Bucky nods and swallows, but you can feel the trembling of his hand in yours.

'We'll give you some time to catch up, but we're here if you have any questions' Wanda tries to speak as slowly but kindly as possible.

'Will I...will I stay as Bucky?' He asks defeatedly.

'While you're safe and here. Yes' Loki speaks more firmly.

'S-so if hydra get me again then....they...they can use the words'

'Words?' Steve now asks as he listens carefully.

'Activation words. In Russian. It...it triggers the winter soldier and then I'm....' Bucky hangs his head down and you feel his head lean into your shoulder. You look at Steve who nods sympathetically. You put your other arm on Bucky's hair and soothe him gently. His head was dripping in sweat from fear.

'We won't let them get you Bucky. Not now, not ever again' You speak calmly. Trying to reassure him.

'What was you going to say?' Loki speaks up now as his curiosity interferes.

'What?' You look up at him.

'Bucky didn't finish his sentence'

'Loki I really don't think now is the time for...'

' I'm ready to comply' Bucky looks at Loki darkly and Loki states back at him, thinking for a minute. 'Interesting'

'Loki. I've known you for about a week now...' you start but he cuts you off.

'And what a week it's been pet' He grins sickly and you see Steve now draw his attention from Bucky and to Loki.

'And you always manage to put your foot in it. Every. Time. So just, shut up. For once'

Loki licks his lips and leans over to you. 'Make me'

'That's enough!' Steve snaps and Thor as if he knows it's his cue walks into the room.

'Brother!' He calls out and Loki let's out a deep breath.

'Yes? Whatever is the matter?' Loki asks sarcastically as he tries to act innocently.

'We've been requested to go home to visit father, come Loki'

Loki scoffs. 'I am not going back there'

'I wasn't asking you brother. You will join me in Asgard'

Loki clenches his jaw and tilts his head to the side. 'And why should I obey this request?'

Thor looks at everyone in the room and then back at Loki. 'Brother' he says more firmly. His voice deep and raspy.

Loki rolls his eyes and grumbles. 'Fine'

He walks over to you and as you look up at him he smiles widely. 'Until next time, pet'

He snaps his fingers and vanishes between your eyes.

'W-what the fuck...' You hear Bucky breath out completely mindblown.

'I apologise for my brother' Thor looks at you all.

'He brought me back to myself after seventy years. He never needs to apologise to me' You hear Bucky whisper and Thor furrows his brows. His face softening.

'We're in a great debt to your brother Thor. I can handle his antics' You assure him.

'I have no doubt of that Lady Daisy, take care and I shall see you all soon' Thor exclaims happily as he leaves the room.

'Like I said before, I'll give you guys a minute...'

'Wanda?' Bucky says almost uncertain and Wanda stops walking out of the room to look at him.

'T-Thankyou...'

'You're welcome, Sergeant Barnes' Wanda blushes slightly as she leaves and Bucky gulps. 'Sergeant....' He says to himself.

He lifts his head off of you but you don't let go of his hand. Steve now sat the opposite side of Bucky.

'You know we're here whenever you're ready to talk pal' Steve pats Bucky on the shoulder but Bucky jolts up from the contact.

'Hey...hey Buck. Take it easy'

'Sorry' He mumbles before pacing. You could see the exhaustion in his eyes.

'No need to be sorry pal, my fault' Steve admits.

'You guys, how're you...I mean..you're alive?'

You and Steve exchange a small worried glance.

'We were frozen'

'Frozen?'

'In ice. In the sea'

'I don't...I don't understand...'

'The ship crashed once we left the base...Tony Stark found us and brought us here about a week ago'

'S-Stark?'

'Howard's son'

Bucky goes pale and stops pacing. You could tell that Howard's name had an immediate reaction to him.

'Buck? You with me?' You ask cautiously as you walk towards him.

'I need to...I need...'

You turn to Steve and Steve just looks at Bucky so devastatingly.

'I'll get us some food. He hasn't eaten or drank in days. You take him to the room Tony set up for him'

'Room?'

'Yeah. It has a nice soft bed and...'

'I sleep on the floor' Bucky says as he looks down embarrassed.

'Not anymore. You're deserving of comfort. You're deserving of a bed. Okay?' You feel the need to ask but you just can't help but well up from the reality of how broken Bucky had become.

'Go get the food. I'll take him to the room' Steve speaks up, bringing you back from your train of thought.

You nod and leave the room quickly. Your mind racing and your heart palpitating. You start to see little black spots. You hear someone call out your name before your legs turn to kelly and you fall into the wall.

'Daisy?!' You hear the name call you again but your grasp gives up, your fingers tingle, and your head hits the floor with a thud.
