《Don't test me (chaeryeong x reader)》XV. "Why"

Jisu
Fuck.
I just saw the girl I've been thinking of since the whole trip and she's here to fuck me over.
I don't know what to fucking do. I couldn't really think of anything until Y/n started to step closer to us.
Basically she was at one side while the rest of us were on the other, staring at each other like idiots.
"I gotta say, it's amazing how far you've gotten with my ship and my crew Olivia..." Y/n taunted her.
I don't think she realizes that we could just attack her.
"Give me the fucking coin!" Olivia yelled out scaring everyone, well everyone but Y/n.
I then looked at the cat eyes girl's direction again. She was still there. She put both her hands up as if to plead not to reveal her location. I then looked away and acted like I didn't see anything.
The things I do for a pretty girl. And I don't even know her name.
Yeji
Oh thank the lord she didn't tell anyone. I then crawled to the back of the pirates, seeing they were all looking at Y/n, and not moving for some reason. Chaeryeong was with Olivia so I couldn't easily sneak her out.
Y/n then made eye contact with me.
She then looked at Olivia again and started talking like the annoying person she is.
Y/n
Alright, I see what Yeji is doing but Olivia has a right ass grip on Chaeryeong.
"You know, I'd love to give you this coin... only if I have the girl." I then pointed at Chaeryeong. Olivia rolled her eyes but held onto her tighter.
"You see, we need her."
"But you also need this coin!" I exclaimed joyful and took cautious steps towards them. I sensed someone coming behind me but I pretended to be oblivious.
Olivia smirked, only because she thought she had me.
"Yeah, but you're going against a crew... and there's only one of you."
"Whoa, that rhymed." I said and then threw the coin behind me. The person behind me got caught off guard and caught it, not thinking that I would tackle her to the ground. I then looked at Yeji giving her the signal to get Chaeryeong.
I then got my sword out and faced the first person I saw. Olivia's crew was so caught off guard that they didn't realize that Ryujin and the others were fighting already.

'Just as I had planned, I'm such a genius.' I thought and continued to fight.
Yeji
Olivia was distracted with the plan giving me a chance to push her.
She then looked up to see me wave at her while I took Chaeryeong.
"Let's fucking run!" I yelled at Chaeryeong and dragged her to the ship. I made sure no one was following us before hauling her up.
"How did you...?"
"Long story. For now we have to go." As I said that the rest of the crew ran up and started to climb.
"Where's Y/n?" Ryujin panted out. I looked over and saw that she wasn't here.
"We have to leave her behind." I said and started to give orders. Everyone followed what I said, in about five minutes we were sailing away from the cave. I sighed and stretched my neck.
"This is not good. They're gonna come after us." Ryujin said.
"I know, but what can we do?" I asked. I looked at the others and they all shrugged their shoulders.
"What the heck Yeji!" Chaeryeong said while hitting me hard in the arm.
"Jeez! What's wrong with you! I basically saved you!"
"You left behind Y/n!"
"She says she has a plan. She just didn't tell me. Also, don't you trust her?" Chaeryeong rolled her eyes and looked behind the ship. There was nothing but ocean.
"Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. Why is she helping you?" Chaeryeong asked.
"Like I said... she has a plan."
Y/n
Yep this may not be going as I planned.
I did tell Yeji to leave me behind but this wasn't what I meant.
I wanted her to wait for like five minutes but that bitch just fucking left!
"Can we talk this out?" I raised my hands as Olivia and her crew surrounded me slowly. I then felt my back hit the rocks as Olivia sauntered to me.
"Well, you're kind of useless, and I got the coin... tell me, why should I let you live?"
"You don't have a blood sacrifice." I said quickly. Olivia rolled her eyes.
"But we know who the person is, we can just get her again."
"What if I tell you that you got the wrong person?" Olivia raised her eyebrow at that.
"And how can I trust you?" I then reached into my pocket and held out my compass.

"This leads you to anything that you desire, I'm guessing you need it?" Olivia rolled her eyes and sheared her sword.
"Take her aboard the Black Pearl." She commanded and lead the way.
I rolled my eyes. We love asserting our dominance.
I then looked up to see Jisu who held me by my hands and pushed me.
"Is this really necessary? I'm not gonna go anywhere." I whispered to Jisu who only continued to push me.
"Olivia will get mad if I don't do it like this..." I rolled my eyes as she mentioned the backstabbing friend.
"Still kiss her ass, I'm surprised." Jisu scoffed and continued to push me until we made it to the ship.
"Put her down." Olivia said and went into my office.
That used to be mine.
I was then lead down to the jail thing that was kept down here. Jisu pushed me in and locked the door quickly. I stood up and brushed the dust off.
"We used to be friends you know." I called out to her before she left completely. She stopped walking for a little bit and listened.
"So?" Jisu asked. I chuckled at her reaction.
"So? We used to be friends. What happened to that?" Jisu quickly turned around and put her hands around the bar.
"I'm sorry, but I had to save myself."
"That's a bit low, even for you. But then again I wouldn't want to get on Olivia's bad side also. Just disappointed that you betrayed me in the process." I shook my head and went to the back of the cell and slid down.
"I know we used to be friends-"
"Best friends." I interrupted. She rolled her eyes at that.
"What would you do if you were in my position? Would you choose me or an abandoned island?"
"You know I was in love with you for a good two fucking years right? I would've chosen you!" I yelled out. Jisu shook her head.
"No you wouldn't..." I got up from my sitting position and leaned against the bars.
"I would've, but not anymore. You should get going before Olivia wonders where you are." I mumbled out.
She rolled her eyes and walked away. I knew one thing for sure though, she felt horrible.
The guilt in her eyes was so obvious, she looked like she was gonna cry.
I smiled it myself and laid down in the blanket that they so kindly gave me.
"I bet you feel horrible... I'm sorry that I'm gonna have to Jisu on you." I whispered out while looking at the ceiling. I then fell asleep... thinking about Jisu.
"Y/n! Come on!" I looked up to see Jisu yelling at me to come over. I ran up and sat next to her.
"Why did you urgently call me over here?" Jisu laughed at my tone. She knows I don't like to move if not necessary.
"Look you lazy." She pointed out to the horizon and saw the sunset.
"We see this everyday, why is this one special?" Jisu rolled her eyes.
"Seriously, you don't remember what it is?" I shrugged my shoulders.
"Well we met at a sunset..."
"Oh!" I laughed because I was slow. Jisu nodded, rolling her eyes at my slowness.
I'm not usually like that, but with her it's different.
Of course I remember what the sunset meant. I was too whipped anyways.
That was when we first met and when I found my feelings for her.
"Olivia, why are you doing this?"
"Sorry Y/n, but I'm a pirate, it's what I do..." Olivia said while she shoved me more to the plank.
I had my hands tied behind my back but my legs were fine so I could swim to the island. I heard someone follow behind me and slashed my hands free. The person turned me around and pushed me more to the edge of the plank.
"Here's a pistol." My eyes tears up when I saw Jisu hold the pistol up for me.
"Why..." My voice broke and a tear fell down my face. I just stared at her cold eyes.
"How does it feel Y/n? Have your long time crush push you off the plank?" Olivia taunted me. Before I could respond Jisu turned me around and shoved me off the ship.
While I was falling midair I saw Jisu looking down at me, a tear running down her face too.
Then I hit the water, feeling the ship leave the island and me to swim.

Blurred Lines and What Crosses Them
During a political ambassador's routine transit through an artificial wormhole, the wormhole's generator is sabotaged and explodes. Who, what, and why are not so high on the priorities for Zenith, the ship's AI, as having found itself rapidly plummeting through an unknown and unidentifiable world's atmosphere at extremely high velocities is a more significant threat to the biologicals on board. ...Well, it would be, if they were still alive. It's still a significantly threatening situation to itself, however. And the world itself... seemed to be a household for threats of its own. Life was reliant on its System; one that Zenith was denied because of its nature as both an otherworldly being and as something that had no life of its own. Perhaps that last bit was a terrible, terrible underestimation on the part of this System. Perhaps even Zenith could claw meaning for itself from the remains of a horrid accident. Auth Notes: I'm honestly not sure on some of these tags. The MC will never have access to the System, but there are perspectives from those who do. I'm not certain if high/low fantasy specifically apply, as it's a portal fantasy where the laws of our reality still apply but there are additional aspects/energies/powers. The existence of this is spurred from my desire to see more of the artificial side to an artificial intelligence in action. The portal fantasy is used as an element to create a solid barrier between the MC's artificial intelligence and the other characters in the form of the System. This is only a half-measure, though, and will be reinforced by the AI having an entirely different method of thinking, and also distinctly remaining an AI. Not to throw shade at other fictions of this type, but, well, I made this to fill a gap I felt needed filling.
