《BadBoy Tutor》Chapter Eight

"No."
"Sam please."
"No."
Jodie sighed as she threw a tennis ball at me which I whacked with my racket. We were currently in gym class and were practising tennis shots. We were told to pair up by the gym teacher and practise our shots. Jodie hit it back and we actually made quite a good pair. Across the field was a massive tennis court which we were all sprawled across. Unfortunately, Amber and Chloe were also in this gym class and kept glaring at us any chance they could.
"Why?"
I smacked the ball in frustration and tugged at my pony tail. "Ive told you already Jod. I don't even know the guy and I'm not interested in dating." I told her. She had been trying to convince me to go on a double date with her, Harry and Harry's best friend.
She groaned. "I'm not asking you to date him Sam. They earnt a free meal for 4 people and I really don't want to go on a double date with some random girl I don't know." She paused, sending me puppy eyes. "Please?"
I rolled my eyes and huffed. "Fine! Only because I can't turn down free food." If she had mentioned that first, I probably would've said yes straight away. She beamed at me and ran over to hug me, only to be scolded by the teacher.
"Sorry." She muttered and ran back to her spot. I laughed at her as we continued to practise our tennis skills. The lesson went by fast and we were now walking back into the locker rooms together. Our gym outfits consisted of a plain white t-shirt and short red shorts. Attractive right? As soon as we entered, I felt someone shove me into Jodie. She winced and was about to scold me for pushing her before we snapped our heads around to a smirking girl.
"Oh sorry, did I push you?"
I rolled my eyes at her and flipped her off and walked over to our locker spot. I groaned when I heard her and Chloe behind us. I turned around as I let my hair out its low ponytail. Amber and Chloe's tops were so tight and short that it practically showed their belly buttons and let's not get started on how short those shorts were.
"What do you want dumb and dumber?" I said tiredly. They both glared at me as Jodie chuckled beside me.
Amber chuckled humourlessly as she looked down at her nails, barely paying me attention. Her bright blue eyes then narrowed on me. "What is this ive heard of you and Reece together?" She asked and I laughed loudly in her face. Both look stunned as I continued to laugh.
"This is what this is about? You're jealous?" I questioned and Amber smiled maliciously at me.
"So it's true?"
I shook my head with disbelief and went to reply but she cut me off, leaning rather too closely into me. "I took your man once Samantha. I can easily do it again." The mention of Adam should have angered me, but it didn't. I chuckled as I pushed her away from me.
"We're not together. We're just friends, not that it's any of your business."
She raised a filled in blonde eyebrow. "But you like him?"
"Again, none of your business but no I don't like him."
She barked a laugh. "Yeah right. Why else is he friends with you? You're obviously black mailing him or you're fucking him."

I bit my lip to stop my laughter. Damn this girl was jealous. We were around the same height so our eyes were level with each other. "Not everyone has to open their legs to be friends with someone." I replied. "Now if you wouldn't mind leaving, your perfume is really disgusting." I gagged, turning around and ignoring her. I wasn't going to argue with her because all she wanted from me was a reaction but she wasn't getting it from me. Funny enough, I had spent the evening with Reece last night. When I came home from picking up my car, I baked more cupcakes while he irritated me the whole time.
He was like a damn baby, trying to lick the wooden spoon and sticking his finger in the icing I was making. Once I had finished them, we ate the whole lot, much to his dismay claiming that they were all his but I just smacked him and ate some. I quickly got changed back into my usual clothes with consisted of a baby blue jumper and black skinny jeans. I shrugged on my jacket as I we walked to lunch together.
It was finally the end of the day as me and Jodie walked from our biology class. Cole was in that class with us but parted ways to meet up with some girl. I rolled my eyes at the thought as we walked through the corridors, chatting about the recent episode of pretty liars when I felt a foot snake around my ankle and I went flying forward. Luckily, I held my balance and didn't go flying down and I quickly stood up, snapping my head around to see Amber and her posy. The students around us stopped instantly and awaited to see the interesting thing that their group would do.
Mona couldn't look less interested as she typed away on her phone, chewing gum. She had fiery red hair that was curled around her shoulders as she leaned against Brad. Brad and Jackson smirked maliciously down at me as if they knew what was about to happen. More and more students surrounded us and me and Jodie stood awkwardly in the middle. I glared at the five of them, one member noticeably missing. "What do you want?"
Amber stepped forward, holding back her brown haired friend who was itching for an argument. Chloe was like that; all talk but no fight. Amber's eyes didn't leave mine as she stepped closer to me. I refused to take a step back and look like I was intimidated by her. I wasn't, but I wanted my personal space. I held my ground as she smiled sickly at me. "I want to tell you something. I think you deserve to know."
I narrowed my eyes at her. "What?" She chuckled bitterly before leaning closer to me.
"It wasn't just that one time. Adam was sleeping with me from the beginning, for the entire year you two were dating." She leant back and watched as my face didn't change.
She leant back on her toes and watched me with a smug smile. "You're lying." I stated calmly.
Amber quirked a brow as she glanced down at her pink nails. She snapped her head back up. "You and me both know I'm not. Think about it. All those nights he told you he was studying with a friend, that friend was me." She paused, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "And we weren't studying."
I clenched my fists as realisation hit me. She was right. All those nights he told me he couldn't hang out because he was studying for a test but never told me who with but I just didn't question because I trusted him. He had been sleeping with her the whole time.

I narrowed my eyes. "I don't care."
"Oh you don't?"
She then leaned closer to me so only I was in earshot of what she was saying. "Your dead mother would be so disgusted in you for where you lost your virginity." She leant back, a massive smirk on her face as she watched my shocked expression that soon turned into anger. I really didn't want to give her what she wanted but she also deserved a fucking punch. I rolled up my sleeves as I dropped my bag to the floor. Everyone around us was chanting fight and Amber's eyes widened as I clenched my fists and punched her square in the face. Chloe stepped forward but Jodie pushed her away, stopping her from attacking me.
"You bitch!" She shrieked as she held her now red nose. I was too angry to even consider the consequences as I took my next move, pushing her down to the floor. Just as I was about to pounce on Amber, a strong pair of hands were placed firmly around my waist and I was yanked back gently into a chest. I threw my head over my shoulder to see it was Reece. "Let me go!" I yelled into Reece's chest as I squirmed against him as he held me back. Jackson held Amber back as we both itched to fight each other but I couldn't see any more when I was thrown over his shoulder. I watched him pick up my bag as he charged down the corridor. Jodie got lost in the crowd as the swarm of students parted for us. Wow, Reece really had an effect on people.
He carried me until we reached the doors and he gently placed me on my feet when he stepped outside. "What the fuck was that?" I shouted as he grabbed my arm and pulled me along to my car. He ignored me until we reached my car.
"Sam calm down."
"I am calm!" I yelled and he just gave me a deadpan expression, leaning against his car door.
"Sure looks like it." He replied dryly.
I huffed, pulling the sleeves off my hoody down. "That bitch deserved it. You don't know what she said!" I cried out, still shaking with anger.
"I heard what she said." He replied calmly, not caring that I was yelling at him.
"No you didn't!"
Reece sighed. "I heard what she said about Adam, she just wants to get this reaction out of you."
My fists clenched with anger. I knew it wasn't his fault and he had only been helping me from the risk of suspension but I couldn't help lash out at him. "You didn't hear what she whispered!" I exclaimed, this time more quietly.
He raised a brow. "What did she say?"
I shook my head and glared at the pavement beneath us. "It doesn't matter."
He tilted my chin up with two fingers so I was facing him. "It obviously does otherwise you wouldn't be this worked up."
I heard footsteps behind me and my shoulders shook with anger at the thought of it being amber but a small smile appeared at my very out of breath best friend. "Wow, you walk fast." She panted in between breathes as she crouched down and held her hands on her hips and held a finger up. "One moment." I watched Reece's lips twitch in amusement. I chuckled to myself silently, for a dancer she was quite unfit.
"What the hell just happened?" Jodie exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air. "What did that little bitch say to you?" She questioned and I sighed, not wanting to say It in front of Reece but he wouldn't budge.
I could feel both their stares on me as they awaited I tell them what she said to me. Me and Jodie told each other everything so she gradually got the hint to my silence. She sent me a look meaning that she would call me later and she then smiled up at Reece. "She'll appreciate it later. Just let her calm down first." She then saluted. "Adios losers." With that she was gone and I chuckled at my best friend but could still feel the rage eating up inside me.
Reece glanced down at me. "Come on. I want to take you somewhere."
"But my c-"
Silencing me, he grabbed my hand and pulled me to his car. My hand burned from his touch, the same way my waist did when his hands were around them. "I'll pick you up tomorrow." He told me, opening the passenger door for me as I climbed inside.
"Bossy much." I muttered but he ignored me, turning on the ignition and pulling out of the carpark. My phone buzzed and I smiled at the phone.
😏
I smiled softly before replying to the group chat that had me, Cole and Jodie in.
🤨
About a second later, his reply came through.
☺️😉😏
I slammed my phone down before Reece could lean over and see it and he shot me a frown and then a questioningly glance when my cheeks heated up. "Cole says hi."
He chuckled and I noticed that we were heading to the opposite side of town that me and Jodie lived in and were nearing Cole's side of town. "Where are we going?"
Ignore. I huffed, getting sick of being ignored by Reece. A simple answer or even an acknowledgement that I had spoken to him was better than being outright ignored. It really infuriated me but I kept quiet. My phone buzzed again and I groaned at the thought of Cole sending a teasing text but instead it was Jodie.
😍😂
🖕🏻🙄
"I hate my friends." I muttered, throwing my phone into my bag and ignoring the string of incoming texts. They had a tendency of arguing on the group chat which flooded my phone with messages.
He spared me a glance. "Why?"
I chuckled. "They're both very um, dirty minded. A lot like you actually."
Reece chuckled. "I like the short one. Weird but funny."
I rolled my eyes. "The short one has a name."
He scoffed. "Not after she was part of that prank too. Don't think I didn't realise after your little friend was the one who seduced me so she can be called the short one."
Ha! Jodie thought she got away with that one.
"Wait." I suddenly remembered something. "Didn't you and Cole used to be friends? What happened?" I asked as his jaw ticked with anger.
He kept his eyes on the road. "We were on the same soccer team until that asshole Brad took over. I guess he became closer with you and the short one and I became friends with that asshole I call my best friend."
I hummed and my eyes widened when he pulled into a drive way or a fucking mansion. I turned to him stunned. "This is your house!?" I exclaimed, it was even bigger than Cole's and he's was freaking huge.
"Come on, I have to babysit Ellie so you can join me." He jumped out of his car and I stumbled out, still in shock at the size of his house.
"Ellie? Whose Ellie?" I asked and I realised that all my previous anger had disappeared from earlier. Wow, who knew I could calm down that fast?
Suddenly, the front door to the massive mansion was thrown open and a small girl came tumbling out with a woman behind her. She couldn't have been more than four and shared the same striking dark green eyes as her brother.
She looked up at him with a toothy grin. "Reecey!"

Of Frost and Steel
After being kicked out of home by her own parents, Emily found herself living in the house of an old woman while working as a plumber to help pay the bills. Her slightly unusual but still very normal life came to an abrupt end one day when an incoming car crashed into hers. When she next opened her eyes, she found no ambulance or hospital room waiting for her. What she found were instead the faces of beings much larger than her who were not entirely human, and the opportunity to live a new life, free of her old one. WARNING: This fiction is dedicated to a friend of mine who spent twelve years of her life hiding who she was because she feared the reaction of her family. For this reason it contains LGBT themes, although they won't be the sole or main focus of the story. The story contains sexual themes, but I will try to keep them to a minimum or make them "fade to black". Chapters will be around 1000 words long and without a fixed release schedule, for the moment.
