Chloe stared at the overcrowded parking lot and teenagers sprawled across the lawn. A few of them were passed out.

"This looks so out of control" she mumbled

Axel grinned. "See I told you no one will notice us"

She looked back at the chaotic party and nodded. They got out of the car and Chloe tightly held Axel's arm. "I hope we won't lose each other in this swarm" she cringed as she saw a couple almost naked on the front porch.

"Don't worry, I can spot my Chloe anywhere in the world" he smiled.

They entered the mansion and loud music made it impossible to even talk. Axel took her towards the drink corner.

"What'd like to drink?" He yelled over the music.

"Alcohol?!" Chloe asked wide-eyed. "You know I don't drink!"

He nodded grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Today you will"

He picked up a few bottles and made a cocktail out of several juices and alcoholic drinks. "Drink this, you'll like it"

She took it from his hand and took a sip. She cringed as her throat burned. "What is that?"

"Drink the whole thing in one go" he encouraged her.

She took one huge gulp and drowned it. A few drinks later, Chloe found herself dancing freely with Axel on the dancefloor.

"This is so much fun!" She jumped as adrenaline rushed through her veins.

Axel pulled her into him as they kissed feverishly. They pulled away and he twirled her around. He jerked her back into him and slowly trailed his fingers down her side before settling them on the side of her hips. Their bodies moved in sync. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed the side of his lips.

She leaned back and cupped his face. "I feel... Just... So... Happy" she murmured staring into his eyes.

"Me too" he mumbled, smiling sweetly at her.

She looked over his shoulder and gasped. Her eyes widened. Frowning, he followed her gaze and found Ace pulling Ella off the table. He frowned turned completely towards them. Ace seemed to be arguing with someone. He charged forward and started throwing punching at Hunter like a maniac.

"Fuck! Stay here" he whispered to Chloe and ran to his friend. He grabbed his torso in an iron grip and pulled him off Hunter.

"Are you crazy, man?" He yelled over the loud music.

Ace pulled himself out of his grip and held Ella's arm. He roughly dragged her towards the front door. Chloe came beside Axel.

"Is he going to hurt her?" She asked, afraid for Ella. Ace scared her even more now.

"No, they'll fight and they'll get over it," Axel said deeply frowning.

"Why is he like that?" Chloe asked innocently

"Like what?"

"So mean..."

Axel exhaled loudly. "He's not mean. Just forgot about them." Saying that he smiled and gave all his attention to Chloe. "Let's go somewhere to eat. The food here is shit"

He held Chloe's hand as they walked out. They settled in his car and drove away. He stopped outside a fancy restaurant. They stepped out, handed the keys to the valet. Axel placed his hand on her back and led her inside.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and romantic and it was dimly lit giving it a luxurious yet comfortable look all over. The hostess stood there with a wide smile on her face.

"Welcome, Mr. King" she smiled.

"A private booth." He ordered and paused. He saw Chloe glaring at him. "Please" he added

The hostess led them to a private couples table and placed the menus. The server came and Axel ordered the most expensive wine.

Chloe felt so out of the place. She never ate at a high-end restaurant. She felt uneasy but smiled nonetheless.

She assessed the menu and it was all in french. She was frequent in french but didn't know most of the dishes mentioned on the menu.

"What do you wanna order?" He asked

She shook her head. "Whatever you're having"

Axel nodded and ordered three to five main courses.

"Axel, that's so much food. I'm not that hungry" she reasoned, she didn't want him to spend so much money on her. She knew she can't split the bill, she couldn't afford it. It was embarrassing for her.

"I don't know what you'd like. So, I ordered all of my favorites. I want you to try all of them" he said

"Umm, Axel... I don't want you to spend so much money..." She said in a tiny voice.

He sighed. "Please, let me... Just for tonight. I never get the chance to spoil you... You never ask for anything... And in the past few months every time I gave you a present you've very rudely returned them all. So please not today..."

This was the second time that her insecurities were messing with her mind and affecting her relationship. But it wasn't just insecurities, it was also about her self-esteem and ego. She wanted to do everything on her own. She never asked for anyone's help and she didn't want to be a charity case.

She could see that Axel didn't want to talk about this. So, for the sake of her relationship, she let go of all of her rules for the night.

And once she was stress-free, she could also enjoy the food. He took a little from every main course one by one and placed it on her plate and waited for her reaction. Axel felt better that she was enjoying rather than worrying about money or anything else.

After dinner, Axel took her to a lakeside. Both of them laid on the hood of his car. Axel turned towards Chloe and watched as her skin shined in the moonlight. He wanted to stop the time forever at that moment.

Placing a hand on her side, he leaned in to kiss her. She kissed him back almost immediately. He hovered over her by placing both of his legs on either side of her.

"It's... Really..." Chloe said between the kiss

"What?" He asked and without giving her a chance to reply he kissed her again.

"Uncomfortable..." She breathed out in between

He pulled away and they both burst into a fit of laughter.

"Your car's wipers are constantly hitting me in the back of my head" she laughed

He got off her and laid beside her again "God! Chloe!" He laughed uncontrollably.

As they both recovered from their laughter, he sweetly kissed her again. "It's getting late. Let me drop you home or else your father will kill me and you also have to go to work"

She got off the hood. "He wouldn't know. He'll be passed out and I can take a day off" she told him. It was the first time, she talked so freely about her father's habits with him.

"You mean... We can have your bedroom all to ourselves?" He asked suggestively. "Where there will be a pillow under your head?"

"No" she shook her head laughing as his face fell.

"Fine!"

He dropped her home but not without completely ruining her lipstick. She went home and looked at herself in a mirror and laughed. Her lipstick smeared on her chin and all around her lips. She looked funny.

She changed into her normal clothes and laid in her bed. She picked up her cellphone and texted Axel.

After sending that text, she fell into a deep slumber.

After the blissful weekend, it felt like nothing could affect her anymore. She got ready for school and had her breakfast and left for school.

She happily jumped down the school bus and trotted into the school. She had a smile permanently plastered on her face. She took out her books from her locker and was walking to her class when a door to her left shot open with a loud slam. She jumped up and stopped in her tracks.

A second later, a disheveled Theo came out of the empty classroom. He held his bleeding nose in his hands, his shirt ripped and he looked like he had been punched in the eye.

"Theo" she breathed out, her eyes as wide as saucers.

Theo looked at Chloe and then back into the classroom. He couldn't meet her eyes, he was embarrassed. He cried like a little boy and ran out of there.

"THEO!" she called after him.

She was about to follow him when someone grabbed her from behind and put a hand over her eyes. He picked her up and took her into the empty classroom. Her body froze from fear. Someone gently pushed her against the wall and took his hand off from her eyes.

Her eyes shot open to see the person, she was not expecting in a million years.

"Hi, Chloe! I got you now and I'm never gonna let you go. I eat girls like you for breakfast, lunch, and dinner" Ace said in a creepy voice with his eyes wide open and a stupid grin plastered over his face.

Chloe's legs trembled and her hands fisted. A little cry escaped from her and someone shoved Ace away. "Fuck you, man!" Axel laughed and pulled Chloe into his embrace.

Chloe immediately nuzzled her face into his chest. "Hey, babe. He's just fooling around" Axel laughed

Ace laughed uncontrollably holding his stomach. Axel held her fists and unclenched them. "Okay! Apologize asshole!" Axel said to Ace.

"I'm sorry, Chloe." Ace said in a goofy tone.

Chloe shivered in Axel's embrace. He rubbed her back gently. "Hey, it's okay... He is joking."

Chloe pulled away from him just a little and looked at Ace from the corner of her eyes. "Theo..." She whispered

"You won't have to worry about him anymore. We took care of him" Axel said in a soothing voice and high-fived Ace. Axel showed Ace a nail scratch on his arm "Fucking bitch scratched me" he said

Ace laughed. "It looks like a chick's nail scratch. Don't worry about it, wear it with pride."

"We got him good" Axel laughed

Chloe looked between both of them unbelievably. This was not the Axel she loves. He looked someone like Ace.

Ace snorted "It was so funny the way he was clawing instead of throwing a punch"

They both laughed loudly. "I have seen girls throw a better punch than him" Axel replied.

Chloe stepped back from him completely, looking at him unbelievably. She wiped her tears and glared at Axel.

Axel's grin immediately fell when he saw her expression, he looked down and sighed. "Ace, give a sec?" He said

Ace nodded and leaned towards Chloe. "BYE, CHLOE!" he said loudly making her flinch.

The second Ace left, Axel stepped towards her to hold her.

She pushed on his chest. "I don't wanna talk to you!" She snapped and walked out of the class before he could stop her.
