Jimin was already in his car, but his phone vibrated endlessly with calls and messages from Neon Yun. Supposedly she was afraid that he wouldn't come; urging him to hurry up. Jimin sighed in annoyance and turned off his phone, throwing it to the back seat. He was already stressed out due to his fight with Y/N earlier, and Neon Yun wasn't helping making it any less hard.

Eventually he finally arrived at the hospital carpark and made his way over to the waiting area that Neon Yun specified. Seeing him walking towards her, her emotions overtook her and she became more out of control. Neon Yun marched towards Jimin and harshly grabbed his shirt, shaking him. "If something happens to Seulgi, then what will happen to me?! It'll all be your fault!" She shouted, tears streaming down her face.

Jimin didn't respond. He felt that her words were a bit strange; why did she care so much about Seulgi? But he decided to shake it off, the situation right now was urgent and he didn't have the energy to think about it. After all Neon Yun and Seulgi have had a good relationship for years, so she probably thought of her as her own daughter. Neon Yun had always hoped that Jimin and Seulgi could get married from the start.

Neon Yun continued crying, hitting Jimin's chest. "How could you be so ruthless? Seulgi has been by your side for five years. How could you leave her for Y/N? You can't just throw people who love and care for you away like that Jimin!"

Jimin winced as Neon Yun became increasingly emotional and violent. He patted her shoulder and tried to stop her from hitting him. "Mom, please, calm down."

Neon Yun grasped his arm tightly. "Jimin if something happens to Seulgi, then how.. how.." she trailed off into sobs.

"Mom.."

The door of the ER opened, and a doctor came walking towards them. Neon Yun quickly let go of Jimin's arm and rushed towards the doctor. "Doctor, is she okay? Please tell me she's okay.." Neon Yun pleaded.

"She is fine. She has a few surface injuries from the crash, but her right leg is broken so she will be put into a cast for at least 6 weeks."

"Oh my poor girl...Will it affect her ability to walk in the future?"

"Luckily, no, the break was clean and all she needs to do is take it easy for a while. But she was driving under the influence, so you need to urge her to be more careful and not to drink before driving. She's lucky that she didn't injure anyone else or the problem would be even bigger."

Neon Yun sighed exasperatedly. "I will, doctor. Thank you."

The doctor nodded and returned to the ER. The nurse turned to Neon Yun. "You can come see her in a moment, we will move her into a private room."

Neon Yun nodded and felt her legs go weak in relief, almost falling onto the floor. Jimin caught her before she fell, and guided her to a chair. Neon Yun glared at him warningly, shaking his hand away. "You're lucky nothing serious happened to Seulgi this time... Don't treat her like that again." Jimin decided not to talk back this time, in case things escalated again.

A police officer who was at the scene of the crash approached Jimin. "Hello sir, are you Park Jimin?" He inquired, checking the papers.

Jimin nodded. The police officer gestured for him to follow him into a room. "It says here that you're listed as Kim Seulgi's partner, is that right?" Jimin glanced at Neon Yun coldly, and she looked back with an adamant expression. Jimin sighed, and nodded. He didn't feel like arguing with Neon Yun or explaining to the police officer right now. "I'm going to need to talk to you about the fine Kim Seulgi will be charged for drunk driving, could you follow me?"

Neon Yun eyed Jimin as he left, as if telling him to make sure to save Seulgi from any repercussions of her actions.

The two went into the room, and eventually came to terms that Seulgi will be fined heavily, but she won't be jailed as there was nobody else hurt in the crash. The drunk driving incident will be recorded on her record. Jimin decided that he won't try and cover up her actions, after all he is already forced to pay the fine for her and that's good enough.

After the briefing, Jimin returned to the waiting room and a nurse guided him to Seulgi's private room where Neon Yun was already. It was already 1am in the morning, but Neon Yun still hadn't gone home. Instead she was adamant towards staying at the hospital to take care of Seulgi since she still hadn't regained her consciousness. Neon Yun looked at Jimin nervously as he walked into the room. "How was it? Did you clear her of all her charges?"

Jimin looked at Neon Yun in disgust. "I will pay her fine, but it's on her to deal with the consequences of having that on her record." Jimin replied.

Neon Yun started turning red with anger, and opened her mouth to yell at him. Instead, she quickly took a deep breath to calm herself down. She needed Jimin to stay so she couldn't risk making him angry right now. 'I'll talk to him about paying the police off later..' she thought.

Neon Yun cleared her throat and smiled at Jimin. "Just stay here tonight okay? There's no need to go back home. She will definitely look for you when she wakes up, so please stay by her side okay? Please just listen to my request this once."

Jimin felt sick looking at Neon Yun's fake smile, but thinking about what just happened between him and Y/N, he didn't feel like going home and facing her right now. He felt extremely tired, both physically and mentally. Jimin nodded, and slumped onto the sofa.

Neon Yun sighed in relief knowing that Jimin would be staying the night. 'I guess this boy is finally coming to his senses.' She thought to herself.

The room was dark, Jimin leaned on the sofa and closed his eyes, but he couldn't fall asleep.

Y/N's face kept appearing in his mind, the way she said she wanted a divorce constantly ringing in his head. Jimin didn't understand why it was bothering him so much, but he really did not want to get divorced with Y/N anymore.

He sighed, and eventually fell into a dreamless sleep.

Seulgi's eyes fluttered open to see the blindingly white hospital room walls. She groaned quietly, a dull pain all over her body. She could only remember driving to find Jimin, but her memories after that were a blur. 'I must have gotten into an accident...' Seulgi eyed the IV drip taped onto her hand.

Her eyes searched the room, noticing Neon Yun sitting on a chair near the bed, checking her phone. Out of the corner of her eye, Seulgi saw a figure on the sofa near her. He sat upright, but his eyes were closed. "Jimin?..." Seulgi croaked, feeling the dryness of the throat. Jimin's eyes opened as he looked towards her.

Neon Yun hurried over to Seulgi's bedside, tears already streaming down her face. "Seulgi you silly girl, how could you be so reckless..." Seulgi held Neon Yun's hand, comforting her. "I'm sorry Auntie... I really am."

Neon Yun glared at Jimin, who was still sitting on the sofa. "Get over here right now. Seulgi is awake!"

Seeing that Jimin was actually here, she couldn't help but cry. "I thought I would never see you again." She sobbed. Jimin rose from the sofa and approached Seulgi, standing behind Neon Yun. He didn't say anything, but he did feel slightly guilty towards the state of this girl.

Neon Yun turned around and slapped Jimin's arm. "Jimin don't just stand there, comfort her! You know what kind of woman Seulgi is. She made a mistake, but you should forgive her. You've been together for so long already, how could you misunderstand her like this? If you send her away she will be alone, do you really have the heart to let her live like that?"

Jimin scoffed, "We haven't been together for a while already, and I'm doing this for everyone. The flights will be arranged according to plan."

Neon Yun opened her mouth to argue, but Seulgi grabbed her arm tightly, shaking her head.

"Jimin, I want to stay here. I want to have a comeback. I've decided I want to continue my career and carry on with my life."

Neon Yun gasped. "Seulgi!-"

Jimin ignored Neon Yun and looked at Seulgi in shock. This was the last thing he expected to hear from her. "You want to have a comeback?"

You couldn't blame Jimin for being surprised. Seulgi was at the peak of her career when she suddenly announced her retreat from the entertainment industry. She was well known, with a successful path laid out in front of her. If she didn't quit she would have been one of today's most popular stars. Seulgi didn't even tell Jimin before she announced her departure, so it was strange that she suddenly wanted to go back.

That time he asked her why, she just said she was too fed up with the job and she wanted a peaceful life.

But after these four long years, she wants a comeback?

Seulgi nodded. "I want to continue my career."

"Didn't you tell me you don't like life in the entertainment industry?"

Seulgi sighed reminiscently. "I lied to you... I believed that I didn't really have a choice." She began. "Grandma didn't like my profession, and I thought by leaving she would have accepted our relationship... But in the end she still didn't like me at all. No matter what I did she didn't like it..." She spoke in a low voice. "I thought it over last night. I should do what was best for me, and I don't need to please anyone anymore. I don't think grandma will ever understand my feelings..."

"Have you already thought about this carefully?" Jimin asked once more. After all, Seulgi was under tremendous stress right now and she was emotional, so Jimin thought that she was being impulsive or finding an excuse to stay here.

"I've thought about it clearly." Seulgi raised her head to look at Jimin, a determined expression on her face. "So, Jimin...Let me stay here, I want to carry on my life. If i'm going to be alone regardless here or in the states, I'd rather stay here and make my way back to the top... At least I would have a chance."

Neon Yun eyed the two nervously, scared that Jimin would reject Seulgi's demands. "Jimin, don't be too ruthless. Give Seulgi a road to live, you owe it to her..."

Seulgi smiled at Neon Yun, squeezing her hand. "Auntie, this isn't about who owes who... It's just something I want to do." She looked at Jimin with a genuine smile. "For Jimin, I could do anything, but this is the conclusion I have come to for myself."

Jimin thought about it for a moment then nodded. 'This could be a good direction to go for everyone. If Seulgi keeps herself busy it will be better for her and for us.' Jimin thought.

"If you want to stay just stay, if you like that apartment, just keep it and continue to live there. If you don't like it, just move somewhere else. If you really want a comeback into the entertainment industry then I'll help you with the power I have. I hope this is really what you want..."

She nodded. "Jimin... I will just ask one last time... You really want to break up with me right? You really don't want me right?" Seulgi asked, holding back tears.

Jimin looked at the pitiful girl in front of him. He sighed, and nodded. "You already wasted five years by my side, so don't waste any more of your time by staying and waiting for me, Seulgi."

Seulgi couldn't hold back the tears anymore, and she sobbed silently into her hands. She tried to use her sleeve to wipe away her tears but they couldn't stop falling down. She shakily took a few deep breaths and tried to calm down.

Seulgi turned to Jimin, and gave him a soft smile. "Okay..."

Neon Yun was shocked, and looked at Seulgi with astonishment "Seulgi..."

She couldn't believe that she would agree to break up with Jimin.

"You said you're going to help me, right?"

Jimin nodded, relieved that she was taking this rather well..

Seulgi thought for a moment, then pouted."I still have one request... I want a comeback so I'm asking you to not tell the public about this breakup until I'm steady in the industry. Can you do that for me?" Since Jimin is a powerful man, it could be a strong backup and she could use it as a golden ticket to the top.

Jimin was silent for a moment, unsure. But he reluctantly agreed. This was for the greater good after all. "Okay."

"Mom, let me send you home."

"I will not go. I am not as heartless as you. Now Seulgi is like this, I want to stay and take care of her." Neon Yun replied. She was incredibly unhappy about the current turn of events.

"I already asked someone to take care of her. You should come home with me. Grandma already looked dissatisfied with you." Jimin knows that Grandma and Neon Yun are not on good terms. She apparently wasn't content about her daughter-in-law. Same goes with his dad, Neon Yun was not really close to him either. He never cared or minded her business.

They only showed up in public together as a play.

Last time when she didn't return home because of Seulgi, Grandma was already extremely disappointed. Yesterday night she didn't return home again, supposedly now, Grandma was really angry with her.

Neon Yun's face paled, she knew that Jimin was right. She glanced at Seulgi apologetically, she really felt that it was not a good time to leave her alone.

"Auntie, just go home. I'm okay. There will be someone to take care of me." Seulgi reassured her, waving for her to leave.

"Then you need to be careful alright? Rest up and don't overexert yourself." Neon Yun sighed worriedly.

Neon Yun didn't want to have a fight with Grandma, otherwise, her position in the Park family would be even more difficult.
