steve and the team knew that sam and you were dating, but they didn't know how serious sam was about you. for instance, before, he wouldn't be caught dead in a suit. but, as steve called him downstairs and he showed up in a tux, everything changed.

"no offence sam, but a month ago you wouldn't be caught dead in something like that." bucky said, chowing down on fruit loops.

"yes, but tonight's super special, okay? i'm asking y/n if i could be their boyfriend."
