you switch teams.

the view from the large government building was breathtaking. mountains circled around the clouds, grass covering each inch of the ground. there were moments of tranquil that you held dear to your heart. but, even though you relished in the slight breeze that whisked against your skin, it was anything but a peaceful moment.

a presence stood beside you, and you knew who it was. initially, you were team iron man, you wanted to stay alongside tony through the fight of the avengers. but, as the fight persisted, you began to wonder if you were in the right. so, you let steve and bucky leave on the plane, giving them the go-ahead to wherever they needed to be.

"why'd you do it?" tony asked you, a hint of hurt in his voice. you knew how affected he would be by your choice, but it didn't make you regret it. you knew which side you were on now, and nobody- not even tony- could change your mind.

"they don't deserve this, tones'." you spoke, turning to face him. "we don't deserve this."

silently, you stepped away, leaving the man you once loved to decide who was really right.
