Summary: You beat her in chess

It was the weekly game night and everyone had gathered in Kara's apartment for it. You were originally meant to skip it as you didn't want to bother Kara and Alex's friend but they insisted so you could get to know everyone.

You had recently moved to National City for a job offered through L-Corp. Both your sisters were extremely excited to hear that you would be moving closer to them as it had been so long since the three of you would be together for more than 2 days. You've been studying at MIT for the past 4 years and they had such busy lived that they hardly had time to travel. Kara did visit more often than Alex but it was still rare. You were just happy to be able to be close to them again.

"And this is Lena, he-"

"Head of L-Corp and my boss."

"Hold on. I didn't know you were related to the Danver sisters. Neither of you ever mentioned having a younger sister."

"Well it never came up."

Lena rolled her eyes and turned to face you again.

"It certainly explains why you acted so much alike to them."

"They rubbed off on me. Even I didn't want them to."

"Well alright, lets get started. The night is young and we have so many games to play."

Kara said as she led everyone to the living room and pulled out the first game.

The night went by smoothly. It was a little awkward to be around your boss and long time crush in your sister's apartment but it didn't seem to bother Lena. In fact, the opposite actually. She would always volunteer to pair up with you and even helped you in games that weren't even about pairs

It was getting late and everyone was practically already passed out. The only ones that were awake was you and Lena.

"I heard you were really good at chess. Do you still play?"

"Not really. I haven't found someone that I can play against."

"I would love to play against you. Interested?"

"I don't know. Its been so long since I've played."

"We can make it a bet. Winner gets to pick the prize."

This sparked your interest and you agree. Lena pulled out the chess set that she had given Kara so she could teach her.

The game took much longer than either of you anticipated. As the game continued, it became harder and harder to figure out what to do until eventually you managed to beat her by a landslide.

"Wow. I haven't been able to find someone that can match me. You're really good. I'll definitely win next time but for now, did you pick something for your prize?"

"I did. Feel free to say no when I say it out loud."

Lena motioned for you to continue. Curious about what you were going to ask that made you add that first.

"A kiss."

"A kiss?"

"It's dumb. I'm sorry. I'll pick something else."

Lena moved closer to you, letting her lips brush against yours.

"A kiss it is."

This kiss was much more than you had expected. It was everything that you had ever wanted. The two of you pulled back with your eyes closed. Still trying to relive that moment.

"I've been wanting to do that for so long."

"Wait you have?"

"I did. Ever since you came into my office so you could get to know me. I just never said anything because you know being the whole boss thing."

"Oh right. I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking. I don't want you getting in any kind of trouble."

Lena laughed as she heard you.

"I'm sorry darling but there's no way I can get in trouble. I'm the boss and if I want to kiss you, maybe even go out on a date with you." She leaned in to kiss you again, catching you by surprise. "Then I can. However, I think I might get in trouble with those two." She said pointing at your sisters. "I know they are over protective of each other. I can't imagine how protective they would be of you."

You didn't tell her about the fact that the two of them drove down to your campus and threatened you ex when she had cheated on you. You never saw her again and as much as they swore up and down that they had nothing to do with it. You knew that they were somehow involved.

Lena later found out how over protective they were of you when they both gave her the talk about not hurting you. Kara using her powers and Alex using her Director status at the DEO.
