《Hatake Pride》Part XXIV

~Kashin~
I couldn't get any sleep that night, my body was restless. It had been... a long while since I had been caught in a predicament such as that. So I was sitting on the roof of my house looking up at the moon and stars to calm my nerves. It's funny how used to all this violence I should be, but alas... where there was doubt there now is none, Mitsuki is not, in any way, normal.
'How could he be that strong? His body moves with experience equal to, if not more so than my own.'
'He has to be normal... Even if I don't think so right...? I would have sensed or seen if there was something off about him... but all I get is very well-refined strength and skill.'
'Ahhhhhh~' I lower myself back to lay on the roof of my house, dropping my arm over my eyes.
"Maybe I'm just imagining things, picking on him because he's from another village..." I mumble, removing my arm and looking up at the full moon.
I move my right hand up to my neck and caressed the aching skin the covered my windpipe. Letting out a deep sigh I close my eyes and grow my tails out, feeling my body raise slightly to accommodate the space needed beneath me.
"Today was a close call... I should probably tell father about it... or maybe Lord Naruto?" I debate as I stroke the soft yet sharp appendage, watching as the four sway softly, hovering over me.
'Maybe I'm overreacting... There is always a bigger fish... I'm strong, so somewhere, someone is stronger, I knew this... I just didn't think I'd meet them this early on.' I pull my hand away from my tail and watch as they dance lightly in the wind.

'I should head to bed, if tomorrow is anything like today the more rest I get the more self-control I'll have...' I tell myself sitting up, using my tails cautiously to maneuver myself back into my bedroom.
I surprised myself today with my self-restraint... I was sure one of my tails would pierce Mitsuki as it reacted to my fear, but I held back... I'm still quite unstable in my eyes... But at least I'm learning to control my urges and impulses better... for now.
~"As you grow... So will your power... Even if you are not ready at this very moment, someday... you will be, and you will be extraordinary,"~
I swallowed hard, changing into sleepwear and heading to bed.
The next morning I met Boruto, Shikadai, and Inojin on the road to school, they greeted me normally but then all turned worried asking if my neck was ok. That's another thing... Since moving to the village I've had to grow accustomed to everyone's worry... This was hard because in the testing facility no one cared about anyone else, it's was always 'lookout for nr 1', it was a nice change, though a slightly embarrassing one. When we reached the academy, we all stopped in our tracks to look around at all the tables and decorations that littered the ground instead of our 'class'.
"Good morning Students!" Shino-Sensei!?
'What is he wearing...?' I thought to myself as I stared at our teacher clad in a red cloak with star glasses.
"Sensei~?" My classmates voiced, obviously as equally confused as I was.
"Sensei what's going on?"
"What's with the outfit?"
"Hahaha... Let's get started now," Sensei called, and in giant puffs of smoke, tables with food and drinks, plants and stuffed animals and banners appeared.
"Woah... Cool..." All of my classmates were awed at the display.

'What's he doing?' I think to myself.
"Today we're going to be using our morning homeroom to throw a little welcome party for Mitsuki," Sensei explained.
"Wow... can you believe Shino-Sensei did all of this?" Hanabi, who was stood just next to me, cheered.
"It may be a little miss guided though," Inojin laughed.
"Alright! Here's to deeper friendships!" Shino-Sensei raised a glass, calling over the class.
"Yeah!" Most of the class cheered back.
So everyone grabbed drinks, Cho-Cho began eating everything and some of our class gathered around to ask Mitsuki all the questions they could. I stood to the side watching everyone. Growing up as an 'only child' I never did this kind of thing, I didn't even know what a party was, let alone how to act at one. I watched as Boruto approached Mitsuki and started talking about the Jutsu he could do, saying he was bluffing about being able to use lightning style. I wouldn't be surprised though... I'm sure Mitsuki could do tons of things none of the others could do.
"You doing ok there Kashin?"
"Huh?" I turned my head to the right, seeing Sarada standing there looking at me.
"Oh, yeah, just... observing," I turned back to the class.
"And now, for the grand finale," Shino-Sensei called out, catching everyone's attention.
Out teacher then began to wave his hands in the air, and every decoration, be it plant or stuffed animal plushie, began moving too.
"Woah how cool!" Most of the class cheered, watching everything dance back and forth.
"How's he doing this?"
"It's not like my super beast scroll,"
"Way to go Shino-Sensei!"
"Awww how cute," I turned my head to Namida as she went to hug one of the dancing bear plushies.
"No, wait! Don't touch that," Shino-Sensei called out to the younger brunette, reaching his hand out toward her.
Namida looked back over her shoulder at our teacher before a small bug landed on her forehead and her face went pale.
"AAAAAHHH~!" She cried out before a huge swarm of insects appeared out of the plants and other stuffed animals, swarming the food tables and around the rest of my classmates.
"AH~ So gross!"
"Get away from my food you pests,"
"How disgusting," Everyone in the class cried out.
"Where did all these bugs come from?" Sarada asked, shielding her eyes from the flying animals.
"I don't know," I mumbled quickly, closing my mouth and bending an arm in front of my face while the other I used to shield Sarada.
"Someone do something!" I heard Denki cry.
"Would you like me to do something about the bugs?" Mitsuki?
"Yes! Anything~!"
The next thing I knew a very strong wind, mostly likely a wind-style jutsu blew through the grounds, blowing over us. I pivoted on my left foot, turning my back to the force and using my body to shield Sarada as she too tried to resist the immense pressure. When the wind calmed, all the bugs were gone... but so was all the decorations and food Shino-Sensei had worked so hard on.
"Hey! What are you guys doing down there!?"
I lifted my head and slowly released my classmate, turning to watch Shino-Sensei run up toward an angry construction worker who was contracted to fixing the school.
"I'm so sorry," Shino-Sensei apologized running up toward the worker.
"Ah man look at the mess," I say looking around at the tattered remains of the welcome party.
"Yeah..." Sarada mumbled in agreement, letting go of my arm.
