《The Last line of Uchiha》Part 16

Ukai
It didn't take much longer for us to reach Shin's hideout after that, so when Father's Susanoo began to descend I changed course, following and landing my warrior next to his. I slowly deactivated it from the bottom up so it lowered Sarada and me to the ground before vanishing completely.
We all began running toward the entrance, Father and Lord Naruto lead the way while I watched the rear with Sarada and Cho Cho in the center.
"So this is Shin Uchiha's hideout," Sarada spoke though I think it was mostly to herself.
"They're coming!" Father informed us.
I used my Sharingan to see further down the way, seeing multiple Shin clones appear and run toward us.
"Woah, three of them have the same face!?" Cho Cho gasped.
"Those are the clones Maru was referring to," I say.
"Father's orders, get rid, of intruders!" One of the clones told the others.
"Oh yes, let's see what you Uchiha wannabes have got!" I jump over Father and Lord naruto and kick the first three out of the way with no problem.
"Apparently nothing." I sigh feeling let down.
"This is not the time for games Ukai!" Father called.
"Yes, Father." I roll my eyes.
"Head's up!" Lord Naruto jumped over me and created three of his own clones who began fighting more of Shin.
"Sarada!" I heard Cho Cho yell.
I watched my sister run at one of the clones but duck under his attack, continuing to run toward the lair entrance. She said something to Lord Naruto but I didn't make it out because three more clones jumped at me.
"Grr, Ukai!" I heard the Hokage yell.
"Busy!" I yell back unsheathing my sword and fighting off my next three opponents.
"Ugh, Sasuke go with her, Ukai and I will handle these guys." Lord Seventh told Father before jumping over to me as I knocked out my last clone.
"What about me!?" Cho Cho exclaimed.
"Didn't I already tell you I'd protect you?" Lord Naruto jumped next to her.
"And who's gonna protect you?" I tease the Lord.
"Funny." He frowned at me.
"These guys are creepy. How many more are there?" Cho Cho said looking around at all the clones as they surrounded us.

"Why aren't you doing anything Lord Seventh? Aren't they the enemy, we should just take them down!" She added.
"No way, I can't do that to them, whether they clones of whatever! They all think of Shin as their Father, and a parent should never do this to their child. It's wrong and it should never happen." Lord Naruto lectured.
There was suddenly a huge explosion from inside the lair and the ground shook.
"Mother," I whisper teleporting toward the hideout entrance before running inside.
'Come on.' I pushed myself faster.
I managed to reach the entrance to the main part of the hideout as Father stood ready to attack Shin. He drew his sword but one of the Shin clones jumped in front of the original to protect him. I watched as Father swung his sword but I saw Shin smirk.
"Father!" I jumped in front of him as Shin attacked.
I looked straight at Father before I jerked slightly forward. I choked as I felt a sharp pain thrust throughout my chest and cut off my air supply. I grunted and felt warm liquid soak my shirt and run down my chest, looking down, I saw the multiple blades that had forced themselves through my body.
Fathers eyes widened when he realized what I had done and he dropped his sword.
"No," He whispered.
Shin pulled the blades back and I coughed, spitting up blood before gritting my teeth and placing a hand over my wound.
"Ukai!" Father caught me as I fell forward and slowly lowered me to my knees, kneeling in front of me and holding me.
"I'm sorry." I groan, looking up at Father before over my shoulder at Shin as he stood.
"Ukai!?" I hear mother's voice.
"Pathetic," Shin hissed.
"You and your offspring are the same. You are weak and not worthy of carrying on the Uchiha name." He reformed his arm.
My head fell forward onto Father's shoulder and I felt him put his hand on the back of my neck, pulling me closer. My whole body was shaking and I squeezed the shirt material over my wound. Pulling my self and my strength together I activated my teleportation Jutsu and swapped places with a clone I had left with Lord Naruto. I was now standing on the outside battlefield, instantly falling to my knees I coughed.

"Lord Seventh!" Cho Cho ran over to me.
"Ukai!" Lord Naruto joined her.
"I'm ok, I just, need to heal it," I say closing my eyes and pushing my hands to the floor.
I felt the ground shake before feeling cold liquid flow over my arms and onto my wound. I hissed but after a few seconds, the pain and blood were gone.
"How~" Lord Naruto tried to ask.
"No time," I stand.
"We need to help the others," I say to the two.
They nod and we run into the caves. I saw Sarada helping mom stand and watched Father standing stand with 'me' in front of a wounded Shin.
I walked up next to him along with Lord Naruto and killed the clone. Father looked at me before down to my chest. There was a small hole there from the puncture but my wound was gone.
"Don't tell me you thought I was that weak did you?" I smirked at Father.
"Of course not." He said turning his attention back to Shin as he tried to make his getaway.
"This is over Shin, you're done!" Father hissed.
"Oh not yet." Shin breathed.
"All of you~" He spoke to his clones.
"Kill them!" He ordered.
I pulled my sword slightly out of its sheath before I watched the Shin clones attack the original Shin, stabbing him. Shin gasped.
"Wow, that... wasn't how I thought this fight was gonna go." I let go of my sword and place my hand on my hip.
I watched as the Shin's spoke to each other, as the clones turned on their 'Father'. I turned, watching more Shin clones suddenly appear.
"The hell? Where do they keep coming from?" I look around.
The clones explained how they cloned themselves before they ran to attack. Lord Naruto took care of the front liners while Father took out the giant one. I then felt a pull of air and watch a portal form behind Mother. I jumped toward her, picking her up bridal style and jumping away.
"Sarada!" Father and I yelled in unison.
Sarada took care of Shin's little creature and everyone was in awe at how she had done it. Loud clanking then sounded as all the Shin clones dropped their weapons.
"As I said, you're still way too soft," Father told the Hokage.
I chuckled as they bickered a little more. I placed Mother down and she ran over to Sarada, hugging her tight. I walked up next to Father before Sarada called him.
"Are your's and Mom's feelings really connected?" She asked.
I looked at Father and he looked at the ground.
"Yeah." He answered.
"How can you say that and be sure?" Sarada asked again.
"Because you and Ukai exist, Sarada." Father looked from her to me back to her.
I nodded, folding my arms and grinning softly at my sister.
"Alright! Let's go home!" Lord Naruto cheered.
________________________________________________________________________________
"When will you come home again?" Sarada asked Father as we stood buy the village gates the next morning.
Father had to get back on his mission, and neither Sarada nor I were taking it very well. Father hugged Sarada, holding her close before smiling at her. I stood behind my sister, my arms folded and a slight frown on my face.
"Don't make such a sad face," Father poked Sarada's forehead the way I used to.
Sarada began to tear up and she smiled back at Mother and me. Mom walked forward, handing Father a lunch before they shared an awkward moment. I could see Mother wanted a kiss but Father was too embarrassed.
"I have to get going," He said turning to leave.
"I'm coming with you." I step forward, halting his movements.
He turned around to face me.
"No Ukai, I need you to stay here and look after your mother and sister for me." He said.
"And what about you, who's going to look out for you?" I frown.
"I will be fine. And I will come back." He said.
I gritted my teeth, hanging my head and clenching my fists. I then felt him move toward me and hug me. I stayed stiff, listening to his breaths as he spoke.
"I love you, Ukai." He whispered before he pulled away and turned, leaving once again.
I lifted my head, watching him leave. I swallowed, taking a deep breath before feeling Mother walk up to me and give me a side hug. I wrapped my arm around her, both of us looking away from Father's shrinking figure to each other. Sarada came up to me as well, hugging my arm to herself and smiling up at me as we all watched Father disappear.

The Elemental Arena
*A Rational-Adjacent litRPG Survival Series.* The time for the trials has come, pitting the mortal species of the galaxy against one another. By completing challenges, clearing dungeons, and defeating rival species, the players may forge themselves stronger and smarter. But only one species will be declared the winner. Earth has finally qualified... ...and participation is mandatory. A twenty-nine year old data entry clerk works together with a group of internationally diverse players to survive. Learning synergistic skills and using teamwork, can humanity achieve an upset? If they don't, their lives are forfeit. Author's note: Chapters will be anywhere from 6k to 10k in words, varying based on the plot beats instead of specific word counts. Realistic actions and teamwork will be important aspects of my story. I'm trying something a little different in writing a realism focused litRPG, hoping to capture the essence of how real people would react to their situation. People are complex and don't always get along. I don't recommend starting the series expecting wish fulfillment tropes just because it's tagged litRPG. It's a survival story with the game settings on Hell difficulty. The plot hasn't gotten there yet, but in the future of the series I want to recreate my nostalgia of forty person raids on Ragnaros, but with the high stakes of boss battles in Sword Art Online. I also love puzzle rooms so expect one of those each book. Warnings: mild PG-rated language, graphic violence and gore, and graphic medical content.
