Groaning I sat up groggily I could tell by the light that it was just past four am and I crawled out of the covers... That's right covers.
Queeni sama said I could have a bed but im sure that if the kids listened to her I wouldnt be getting this special treatment.
I'm not special I'm just a monster, why doesn't she hate me, I don't understand...
Sighing I sat up and made my bed perfectly so you couldn't even tell I was using it and left my sleeping roommate behind.
I hadn't slept much any way, maybe half an hour, the villagers it seems have found a way to haunt me in my sleep.
What to do, what to do... On yeah I can practice reading.... Reading....
Ummmm what will I read? I know I can read the cook books in the kitchen.
Silently Walking down the hall I heard crying following the sound I saw the door to room six ajar, room six that's the little kids rooms.
Opening the door I saw little junko hanging half off of his crib only stopped by a snagged fragment of clothing.
Running over I picked him up holding him to my chest to calm him.
I don't really know how to look after kids but I learned to do what I wanted done for me when I was little.
Giving him a rub on his back I carried him with me to the kitchen. Junko was the newest edition to the orphanage and is only 9 months old
He is quite heavy and not much smaller than me but I could carry him anyway, taking him down the long paths we reached the kitchen
walking in I put junko into a high chair and grabbed a book sitting on the counter I started to read aloud

Two hours later I understood all the words, I already knew how to read but reading something had helped me remember.
Getting off the bench I saw baby junko asleep, picking him up slowly I carried him back to his room putting him in his crib I closed the door and walked away.
Sighing I walked outside and climbed up the pipe and onto the roof walking around completely silent so I don't wake anyone up I started to clean.
Scrubbing graffiti off is a lot harder than you would think but I do it anyways. After all it's my fault its there, why should the others have to see it or clean it.
After its gone I walk inside already dead tired and its only 7:00 am people will start waking up soon walking into room six I see most of them already awake.
Dragging the kids who could walk I lead them to the little play room and went back to get junko and rin (same age)
Placing them on the bumper chairs I sat and played with the other kids my age. Me and another girl Ami made a tower as tall as me with the building blocks and when it fell down we were giggling and laughing.
Turning around I felt someone watching me and my head whipped around to face kiyoshi he was grinning and that made me happy.
Soon I walked out to kiyoshi and tugged on his sleeve..."kiyoshi sama?" I whisper kiyoshi bends down to me "yes ototo" he answers.... "Ummmm cuwd umm you hewp me wif my writing please.?"
When narutos sad naruto speaks more maturely and he never stuffs up his words but when naruto speaks like an average 3 yr old he is normally in a good mood.

Kiyoshi seems happy and when he nodded I was glad yes one step closer to ninja I'm sure I pretty much have this down patt just a little more practice.
I wonder why naruto wants to write... Oh well if it makes him happy I won't complain, looking him over I saw the dark baggs under his eyes and my smile faltered.
I know he hasn't been sleeping properly and I sometimes wonder if he sleeps at all .
Walking to my room I saw narutos eyes go wide
"Naru what's wrong" I asked " that's your room too, your my roommate" he whispers. I grin "you bet naru-nii " looking at him I could see the worry in his eyes but I let it drop.
I wonder why he's worried... maybe he is worried I will hurt him. It doesn't matter he will realise I won't soon enough.
Walking in I grab the writing materials needed and we go outside in the sun to write.
I was quite shocked at narutos writing ability he was almost as neat as Kara and she wanted to do calligraphy for a living.
My own hand writing was scribble compared to his and he could even spell better.
It was now that I realised we had been at this for hours and I asked him if he was hungry.
No was the immediate reply I wasn't shocked however as he was used to only eating once a week
Leaving him to it I left to the dining hall to see queeni watching naruto from the sink window
I could tell she was worried about him as she was frowning slightly when I told her he wasn't hungry.

Sins of the Fathers (A Dungeon Story)
Extract from the histories of Hogenbach, written by the grand historian and self-proclaimed drunkard Gregor Meinzt. "Ah Hogenbach, a crumbling shithole of a kingdom situated in the arse end of nowhere. A land of rolling hills, cold winters and home to a population of short and bitter people. A terrible land. Yet it is here that the greatest calamity of the modern realm took place. It was here that the writhing dungeon was born. Some call Viktor Grieswald a hero, others curse the name. And yet fewer still know him for what he truly was. His was a sad existence, made to shoulder the burdens of an entire realm. He helped, he harmed and he left a trail of destruction in his wake, he will always be my friend. But know this, whatever your opinion on the man, nay the monster is, one thing is true. The world will never be the same after his presence, we made sure of that." AN: Alright, this is a dark fantasy dungeon story without the use of reincarnated characters or a system. Yes, I tagged it litRPG as it uses game elements, no these do not include a status screen. Read onwards if you dare.

Subversion
Subversion is a game with highly customizable settings that allow you to fine tune your character choices. It was state-of-the-art when it was released, won awards and everything. It's not a game for you to pick "random" and hope for the best. But, that's exactly what Miguel did when he started playing. And, of course, his characters came out a little...different. A pothead bombardier elf who cusses and engineers. A stubborn Chosen One who refuses to do anything but farm. And a world full of NPCs, bosses, and villains who act nothing like they should. Now Miguel is forced to adjust the situation in order to help his characters level up and defeat the Dark Lord. But, will they make it to the end of the game? And if they do somehow survive all the tricks, betrayals, and deception thrown their way, will the game be what anyone thought it was going to be? *** As of [13] Do a Barrel Roll! Ch. II, Subversion will no longer be uploaded on Royal Road. Please go to forestgreenwriting.com for more chapters.***

Shadow under Plato
King’s College has a reputation. To Leo, the sharp but cynical rebel, it is a place where the people he cares about are sentenced to a fate worse than death—to live the rest of their days on the surface of a dying Earth. To Morgan, the bright and strict overachiever, it is a vault in which she may find her dreams. And for the brightest six students of King’s College, even greater opportunities reside in the legendary Class Euripides; a class which she will fight for a seat at with all her wits and will. And to Lumia, the newly Ascended girl whose smile never fades, King’s College is a terrifying puzzle just like everything else in the floating city of Plato, the last bastion of humanity. As the class of 311 commences a grueling year of study and elaborately devious tests, none of the bright-eyed students could have anticipated the weight of expectation laid upon their shoulders. After all, a student’s hopes and dreams mean little in the fight against an ever-collapsing climate. For the Educators of King’s College offer only one lesson to their future students, to the future of a dying world: Burn bright.
