after reporting in to the hokage i went home and had started packing he had given us our first mission as his personal anbu.
we were to escort him to the village hidden in the sand so he can negotiate a treaty between our villages. this would hopefully prevent another war starting in the elemental nations.
after packing i put my fox mask back on my face and locked up the musty apartment before teleporting to the hokages office.
after shisui arrived a few minutes later than itachi we set off.
jiji walked along side us until the village was out of site when he suddenly sped up to anbu speeds, shocking us i guess there is a reason he's still hokage i thought.
we easily kept up with him and ran next to him keeping watch out for any enemy encounters such as the trap up ahead to the left that we easily bypassed or the summons diving at us teeth bared before being poofed back to the summons realm.
we continued on our merry way killing bandits that ran at us without a second thought.
there was one instance where a anbu from the village hidden in the mist ran at us but also left the world of the living when our team sent three humungous fireballs straight at him.. he never stood a chance.
it wasn't long before we arrived at the gate, those incompetent anbu were there again.
not noticing the hokage who had slowed to a leisurely walk to look normal the anbu instantly seized my arms remembering me from our last encounter i stood my ground and released some of my KI (killing intent) at them.
they remained holding me, there hands shaking, i smirked and mixed a bit of kuramas KI in and they instantly flattened to the floor.
it was only then that hey noticed the annoyed hokage standing beside me. he stared at the anbu like he was looking at two kids caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

we continued down the path to the kazekage tower i was on jiji's left, shisui was behind him and itachi was on his right.
the anbu standing around the edges of the market place reminded me of when i trained the early recruits here at the village hidden in the sand.
hey rama sensei we can do what we normally do okay, you tell me what to get them to do and i will do it" naru-chan they are gonna either hate us or respect us by the end of this" said rama.
and so the training began.
not even a week into the training and there were only the older recruits and 10 younger recruits left, the others couldn't handle kurama's training.
i smiled there was the bunch that learned to respect me, the others.. they hated me... meh.
i focused back on my surroundings and pushed away the slight dizziness that came from the flashback.
being alert once more i trained my eyes on the destination. once we walked into the kazekage tower we instantly followed jiji up the stairs to his office.
once we entered i saw the kazekage with his hair as red as ever, i walked silently behind the hokage, when he noticed me i saw the grateful and respectful look he sent me.
the kazekage told us to unmask ourselves, let him see us, why, does he have a reason....other than curiosity... i thought.
looking over to the hokage he nodded and i unstuck my mask from my face, slowly lowering it.
my blonde hair swayed in the wind and my blue, empty and broken eyes were revealed, i could feel the sharp intake of breath come from the kazekage.
i guess he didn't expect me to actually be that young, i bet itachi shocked him too since he isn't genin age yet either...
glancing over at the others i saw the hokage smiling softly at me and he looked at us three, "okay you three are dismissed, you can wander around but you must be back here at dusk" jiji said.

i giggled silently and used a simple jutsu to swap my anbu clothes with the ones in my scroll, shisui and itachi did the same.
smiling i launched myself onto itachi's shoulders and grasped his now long hair gently.
itachi held onto shisui's hand softly blushing slightly and walked out the door. we walked around the yellow city and stopped at a food joint that sold dango.
shisui went in and bought 6 tango sticks, i froze... i still wasn't overly fond of sweet food, i could maybe have one but i think two would make me feel sick.
itachi and shisui had been working my appetite up ever since we joined anbu together. it was actually shisui who tried it first but that ended badly.
once i was handed the dango stick i slowly ate it, trying not to eat to fast incase i got sick, soon itachi was walking again and i had finished the dango stick.
shisui tried to give me another but i sealed my mouth shut and faced away, shisui's eyes saddened slightly but he blushed and offered it to itachi who was more than happy to have it.
taking one end and placing it in his mouth he ate one of them off the stick and pulled the other one of and placed it in shisui's mouth who smiled happily and began eating it.
awwww, itachi was feeding shisui...i ship it... shhhh kurama what if it doesn't happen then what I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN!!! giggling silently i pulled out of my mind scape.
i was bored we still had a short walk to the kazekage tower so i started braiding itachi's long hair doing something similar to what i did to shisui's a while ago.
fussing over a braid that wouldn't turn out right i heard shisui making aww sounds, looking up i saw him standing back a bit with a camera... he'd just finished taking a picture of itachi and me.
i leapt off itachi's shoulders and landed on shisui's looking down i saw the picture, i wasnt sticking my tongue out was i ? yea kit, you do that when you concentrate too much.
smiling and blushing sightly i noticed itachi was looking over shisui's shoulder too and smiling at the picture.
we sat down at a park and we started playing twenty questions, itachi asked shisui if he had a crush on anyone and shisui said yes.
i could have sworn i saw a bit of amusement in shisui's eyes and disappointment in itachi's, in turn shisui asked itachi the same thing and the process reversed.
then as it was my turn to be asked they both looked at each other and asked at the same time "why don't you talk???"
i froze... my mind instantly when back to my fourth birthday, tears started pouring out my eyes, i could faintly see itachi's worried face and black spots filled my vision inviting me to my worst nightmare...literally .
oh my god.. SHISUI HAS A CRUSH... who is it, do i know them.... i guess i really don't have a chance do I.
smiling a small fake smile i waited for shisui to ask me a question, " so itachi do YOU have a crush?" i smiled yeah of course i do it's YOU silly, i love you.. "yeah i do"
me and shisui glanced at each other there was one question we always wanted to know should i ask it, would that be going too far? ahh oh well i might never get another chance
"why don't you talk" i asked naruto surprised shisui said it too

The Dreamside Road
Five years after the world fell into chaos, a treasure of artifacts is up for grabs. The relics of the Dreamside Road offer a power that could help rebuild or annihilate what remains. Orson Gregory is an adventurer for hire, but hunts this treasure for answers, not glory. Enoa Cloud’s late aunt helped hide the Dreamside Road, but following in her aunt’s supernatural tradition offers her as much peril as power. Together, Orson and Enoa battle a magic-obsessed militia, clash with a host of rivals, and face constant adventure on their journey to find the Dreamside Road. *Updates Monday and Friday The Dreamside Road is now on TopWebFiction! Vote so people know this exists. _____________________________________ NOTE: The Progression tag applies specifically to Enoa. Also, fair warning, that element doesn't enter the story until she begins her studies. Content: Main characters range in age from teenagers to people in their thirties and older, but it will not contain gratuitous violence or explicit sexual content. It also won’t shy away from implication, anything to make this story and its world feel more real. Characters will freely allude to potentially triggering topics, including living with a disability, facing terminal illness, coping with trauma, surviving societal destabilization, and the consequences of bigotry. At its most intense, the Dreamside Road is a hard PG-13. Worldbuilding: This is not a story with a lot of early exposition scenes, conveniently explaining ‘magic systems’ and political dynamics. Readers will learn, progressively, as the characters do. This story/world has a ‘magic system’, or rather, a set of systems, but the effort to quantify and understand the truth of the setting plays a role in the backstory, as well as in some character motivations. In that same vein, not every character has a firm grasp on the nature of their world, and not every piece of dialog from every character should be taken as entirely truthful Worldbuilding. Also, this isn't the softest Sci-fi. There are at least some basic explanations given for various elements, but Royal Road does not give me a spectrum to choose from. Given the choice between hard and soft, let's just say The Dreamside Road won't be cited in any college Physics papers. Setting and Theme: The Dreamside Road walks the line between fantasy and science fiction and deals with finding one’s place in a changing world. Many of the characters in this story are United States natives and the story begins in the United States, my homeland. However, knowledge or interest in this country is not necessary to understand the story, especially as it progresses. Also, as this is a novel that deals with societal collapse and while that damage may be widespread, in story, I don’t want to overstep and critique the culture of others’ unless I have particular knowledge in a given area. Ultimately, the Dreamside Road is American in the same way Harry Potter is English, fantasies that do not have a full secondary world, but with enough original elements to fully diverge the setting from our the real world.
