《Kiss It Better?》Hello Doctor
Advertisement
An hour slugs by and still no sign of a visitor. All you wanted was to be rescued from this horrible hospital. Out of everyone on this planet it just had to be her...
And almost on que- "Lunch!" Nurse Brooks announces as she steps into your room, holding a big tray of food for... you?
You look the other way, distracting yourself with the plants outside as the nurse sets up your little table in front of you.
The smell makes some saliva build in your mouth, you didn't even realise you were starving.
"Here honey" she whispers, getting your attention as she puts a pill on the table along with some water.
'Oh great, she's going to kill me...'
"-This is the morning after pill. Just in case last night's events were unprotected" she smiles.
"... oh... thanks" you murmur suspiciously before swallowing the pill and chasing it with water.
'Bit condescending much?'
Nurse Brooks lingers, writing something on her clipboard.
"...What are you doing?" You ask.
"Oh just filling out what kind of medication I've given you hun buns" she shows you the clipboard.
"I see..." Your stomach churns at the nickname.
You look down at the food. You can't deny that it smells absolutely delicious; making your stomach rumble rather loudly.
The nurse chuckles. "Eat up, your stomach is singing"
Your face heats up with embarrassment, slowly picking up the spoon and starting to slurp your soup. The taste of warm pumpkin warms your tummy.
"... did I have my phone on me?"
"oh, no honey sorry. Would you like me to call someone for you?"
Your face scrunches in disgust with the tone that leaves her mouth. 'If she talks down to me like a child one more time I'm limping out of this place.'

"No..." You don't want to be babied by this lady.
Nurse Brooks puts her hands together. "Alright sweetheart, I'll let you eat" she grabs the clipboard off the bed and finally leaves, closing the door behind her.
You groan and sink back down into bed, unintentionally tugging the wires you forgot they put into your arm. Hissing, you flop your arm closer to the machine attached to you.
'What a shit day'
After a few moments of staring into space, you hear the door to your room click open and you lift your head from your pillow to see who it is. It startled you.
"You summoned me?"
You blink, seeing Henrik standing in the doorway. His glasses all fogged from his mask.
"...I did?"
The doctor walks over to you, gently guiding your arm off your button...
"oh..." you squeak out, flustering in the embarrassment that you've wasted a doctor's time.
He looks over his glasses at you. "...Vhile I'm here... Do you vant me to change my schedule to a different patient while you're here?" He asks clearly.
You frown. "... why would I want that? I'm okay with you its just-" you cut yourself off, remembering he works with her.
"Apologies, itz just... ze last time ve ran into each other it seemed you were having a tough day or I was coming on too strong. I understand, I vould be annoyed if someone vas bugging me at vork too."
"O-Oh! n-no just- I-... no. I'm sorry for being a nasty bitch at the coffee shop... and spilling boiling hot coffee all down you... I don't have any ill will towards you, I-Im sorry for being a terrible person... I've kinda got what I deserve hm?"
Henrik blinks with a look of bewilderment. "Vhat??? No!-... you don't deserve... what happened to you" He looks away as though trying to choose your words carefully.

You raise a brow. "...What do you mean by 'What happened to you' I'm all okay, accidents happen." You try to smile but you're finding it difficult lately.
Henrik scrunches his eyebrows in concern. "Nurse Brooks informed me zhat you declined calling anyone... zhere are places you can go if you're in a bad place." He says, reaching out to give you a pat on the leg but stops himself, probably remembering he's at work- instead he starts cleaning up your lap table from lunch.
You felt horrendously guilty that you couldn't do it yourself...
After putting the dishes on the tray, his eyes land on you again. "Can I get you a hot chocolate for a change miss L/N? Sorry, no coffee while your on the drip" He gestures to the machine next to you that's feeding into your arm.
"Sure, sounds nice. Thank you..."
Before he walks out, you gather the courage to ask for a phone call.
"A-Actually... may I have a phone call?"
"Of course" he walks back over to the bedside phone and hands you the phone. "Need help dialling?"
"No thanks, I'm alright doctor..." you squint to read his name tag.
"Schneeplestien"
"Schnnneeplestien" you repeat.
"I'm aware itz a mouthful, I've begged for a bigger name tag so patients can read it" he chuckles.
You give him a small laugh. "I think we'd still have trouble even if we could read it"
"Alright alright I get it" he throws his hands up playfully in defeat. "I'll go get your beverage" he says, turning around and walking out.
After he leaves, you look down at the big blocky phone...
'Peter? Or mum?...'
You begin to dial your chosen one, putting the phone to your ear.
What would your parents think of you ending up in hospital over kinky fun- geez....
The phone rings a couple of times before they answer.
"...hi mum... I'm in some bother..."
