I was always watching them in my tiger form. Observing them became my favorite past time when the human became pregnant with the hybrid.

Making sure they were safe was my top priority. After all, they are my mate's family. I would protect them with my life.

But even so, I wanted to stay hidden. Them seeing a giant, multicolored tiger wouldn't go over well, or so personal experience has told me.

The wolves that broke away from their pack to guard them didn't help much either. They were always doing perimeter checks and sniffing around. Damn mutts, they always get in the way.

I couldn't blame them though, the vampires were on high alert as well. A vampire safeguarding the window soon became an everyday thing and with their senses heightened, I had to be dead silent. Even a twig could be a death sentence.

Tonight, it was harder to focus than normal. My intuition was going nuts, something would happen and it would occur tonight. A decision maybe?

Using my sensitive hearing, I listened in to the Cullen's conversation and a decision was indeed made. They had agreed to go hunting, but only in small groups.

'Well, they can't starve to death in there. The doc also needs to be ready for little baby hybrid's birth.' I mused to myself.

The small groups are smart, that I can agree with. They can be fast and undetected.

But even so, I'm not letting them go alone. I know the three wolves can watch over the remaining vamps and pregnant human while I make sure the hunting party is safe. And protect them I would, even if it meant my life.

After a few long minutes, the small group came out and dashed in to the forest with myself galloping silently behind them on all four paws.
